So maybe people should be more clear on telling their clients on whether they should bring in stubs or a printout of income and I've done that twice and now they tell me I need six months of the actual Stub thanks for being so helpful and then nothing but arguing and unprofessional if you tell me wondering why this wasn't told to me when I turned in income 2 months ago a printout and nobody said anything about stubs

I have filed 3 cases with Mr. Swift. The first time was a Chapter 7 about 7-8 years ago, the 2 Chapter 13's I think like 2 years ago. That is where this starts. I paid Mr. Swift in full to file my chapter 13 the first time. He never made any mention to me that I may have to pay the trustee my VA back payment benefits. We went to court and he became very angry with me and stated he would fix it. I expressed at that time my concerns with him. He went into the trustee meeting and completely lied to them and said there was no money and continued like normal. About a week later he again recanted and forced me to let the case dismiss and repay him 100% to file a new case. Mr. Swift told me that no matter what the case was not able to be discharged so I would have to wait until 11/2018 and have my case again dismiss and refile a chapter 7. My wife and I felt we had no choice. The 2nd case was filed and things seemingly went as planned. In July 2017 I called the Office and spoke to Valerie and let her know that we were moving to Texas. Valerie asked me to hang on a minute and had Mr. Swift speak to me. I told Mr. Swift at that time that we were moving and he was completely ok with it . I know Mr. Swift has my current address because he consistently sends me a bill every month saying I owe him even more money for having extra creditors. Those bill come directly to me here in Texas not in Colorado. About 2 weeks ago Mr. Swift contacted me because I was unable to pay the trustee payment and spoke to me about the Chapter 7 option again. I told him that it was my plan to go ahead with that. Mr. Swift offered me a large discounted rate to have him file my case. I was a bit puzzled with this because I know that by law he cannot do that. I told him that I couldn't have him do it because I am a Texas resident now and he said "it will be fine, use your moms address". I don't break the law and my integrity is better than that so I said again no. I got a letter today from the Trustee stating that Mr. Swift nor them were ever notified that I moved and that I have to complete a new plan with extra payments. That is a clear lie on Mr. Swifts part as well and retaliation for me not wanting to partake in his shady illegal ways. I attempted to call the office and speak to Valerie or even Patty again to find out what is going on to find that neither one of them work there. I am at a loss now because I feel scammed and lied to by the person I paid a few thousand dollars to protect me. I can now only sit and wonder how many others are in my same position being bullied and retaliated against. I know from past posts and issues I can be expecting a phone call, but I can say to him save it. The damage is done

The Law office of Stephen H. Swift were very professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend their office to anyone looking to file bankruptcy!

I hired Stephen because he had great reviews and awards and I figure I wouldn't have issues with the bankruptcy process. Initially I worked with an employee, Valerie, and she was amazing. Took and returned calls, followed up, etc. Just before the creditors meeting, I paid to have a lien stripped from my home. Outside the courthouse I asked Stephen about the lien and reaffirmation of my mortgage, which I had already requested to be done a couple weeks before. Today I call for status and was told there wasn't anything in my file on those. I asked where Valerie was because I know she gets things done. I was told she wasn't there anymore. I discovered she resigned and another employee was fired because they refused to continue doing things they weren't comfortable with. UPDATE1: Mr. Swift asked me to come in to discuss my case and as we ended he asked me to consider taking down this review. Obviously his view of events was different. Apparently complaints have been filed from both sides, so I will wait and see what the outcome is before making this final. UPDATE 2: I have heard about and seen continued correspondence from Mr Swift and the Disbarred guy (Ward I think), verbal, written, 3rd party, which was coercive, threatening, and intimidating to Valerie. I am aware of Mr Swift contacting Valerie's employers, other attorney's, and lying, slandering her, causing her to lose more than one job. She's barely been able to care for herself and her grandchild, and has been living in literal fear and misery as a result of Mr Swift's highly unprofessional attitude, unsavory character and bullying. Apparently the State has evidence, as they have decided to take Swift to court in late December 2018. If you feel you have also suffered as a result of actions by this heinous practice, you should probably contact State or Federal Bankruptcy court. If I get contact info, I'll post here. And if you are one of the "Good ole Boys" of his dwindling associates, and you are assisting in the libel, slander, fear-mongering, etc,...I hope you get caught as well.

I hired with Mr. Swift back in 2012 and was very pleased with his handling of my case. He was very professional and courteous and his staff was genuinely friendly. I would recommend him to anyone, knowing he is knowledgeable and goes above and beyond for his clients based on my own experiences. Thank you Mr. Swift!

Awesome people, always have been more than helpful, gone above and beyond, never made me feel judged about my situation. I have used them twice and would recommend them hands down.
