I would highly recommend this firm. Jason Hilton did well representing me and had a strategic plan on how to handle my case. I was not the easiest client and stress from the divorce got the best of me at times. Jason and the team at BDL continually called and checked on me and always showed genuine care. Jason is well versed in Colorado Revised Statutes and Case Law. Jason did very well in not making outlandish promises and was very truthful throughout the whole process. Lonie was a great paralegal, and continually checked on me during the tough times. Both Jason and Lonie made this process so much less stressful now that I look back on it. Jason was firm and well prepared and because of that I got a great settlement offer. Thank you!

BDL has only been a negative experience for me personally. I hired the firm after my attorney unexpectedly passed away days before mediation on an APR case where my children and I have resided outside of the state of Colorado for over 6 months now, but petitioner filed the case days after we left the state for safety and this case has done nothing but continue to drag out after a temp order was issued. Thank god that was at least issued! BDL advised to reschedule mediation although I was prepared to move ahead, which resulted in mediation being set days before our final orders hearing. I requested a continuance on the hearing as I do not want to pay for unnecessary trial prep. BDL agreed yet continued to charge for trial prep then stated I prevented them from prepping for deadline matters citing it was up to the court to grant a continuance therefore they still had to prep for deadlines. I’m not sure why a court would not issue a continuance when you have 1. Attorney death within a short period before hearing 2. Mediation days before the hearing 3. Unresponsive opposing counsel/petitioner. This was on top of excessive and unreasonable communication/administration charges that continue to this day, well after our engagement ended on December 6th, after BDL chose to withdrawal and I agreed to end our engagement, and BDL continues to charge and draw from my retainer. I have also requested my legal file on three separate occasions since December 6th, am told it would be sent, but have yet to receive anything. To date, I now am back to attending mediation unrepresented, which I should have done initially and not followed the advice of BDL, and final orders has been rescheduled to July 2023. Meanwhile, my children and I continue to have no connection with the state of Colorado nor have any of us been back since April 2022 yet I am burdened with the expense of an out state case and endure ongoing threats from the petitioner. How this is allowed to continue on is stressful and frustrating, and most definitely not in the best interest of me or my children. From my experience, BDL seems to be concerned with the monetary value only and if not meeting a certain threshold, then results will not be as expected.

Unfortunately I did not have a great experience with Brighter Day Law. If you have a relocation case I would highly suggest you go elsewhere. They were not responsive, and there was barely anything done on my case until last minute and it was embarrassing in the court room how unorganized things were. I was not aware of things until I heard it from OPPOSING counsel and now because of BDL my son who is 10 and autistic is suffering immensely. I wish I had better things to say.

Brighter Day Law exceeded my expectations. Angela Jones and her entire staff were always available and quickly answered/assisted in every way possible. But most importantly, the end result was exactly what I was hoping for. I would recommend Brighter Day Law without hesitation!

Brighter Day Law went up to bat for me during a very difficult time in my life, and really went above and beyond to help guide me through the difficult process of my divorce. I was told the lawyer I was given could be aggressive when he needs to be but when it came time for him to be aggressive he backed down, I felt like I was my own lawyer since everytime it was our turn to ask questions he would turn to me and say is there anything you'd like me to ask. I spent a year collecting evidence for this case and he never once brought up the evidence. He gave me a sense of false confidence in his ability but when it came time for court it felt like he was just there to collect a paycheck. I told my lawyer that my kids mother signed them up for school without discussing it with me his words were let her do it since it will show that she doesn't work with me on major decisions but he never pushed that issue in court. Overall my experience with this law firm was horrible and I feel like I could have done a better job representing myself.

Anytime somebody asks for recommendations for attorneys, Brighter Day Law is the first company I think of! They specialize in family, divorce and custody. But, they also know a lot of great people, and if they can't take on a case, they will make a recommendation for somebody that could. Angela is very hard-working, and very knowledgeable!

The Brighter Day Law team I was assigned made this difficult and heartbreaking divorce process much easier to process than I imagined. The team is passionate and knowledgeable of the ins and outs of family law. They took care of all of the difficult processes and negotiating and all I had to do was give them my input and opinions. They really had my best interests at heart and I got everything I wanted in my “Divorce Wish List” in the end. I wish I could give this team 10 stars, because my case was reopened in August of 2023 and I was blindsided by my ex. However, Mark, Sydney, Lonie, and Mya ensured that I got a fair shake during renegotiation for time with my children. I honestly don’t know how to thank them enough for what they did for me during these trying times. They did all the negotiating so I didn’t have to waste my time going back and forth with my ex. Like I said on my last review, all I had to do was give them my opinions and I got to sit back and relax while they took care of the rest. I 1000000% recommend Brighter Day Law.

I cannot recommend Brighter Day Law enough! This firm is extremely thorough and timely. I felt like I had a team in my corner during one of the most stressful times of my life. My lawyer, Sydney, made me feel more at ease with the process and talked me through everything - even the minor stuff- while her paralegal, Jordyn, always made sure to get documents to me quickly. The entire team, from initial intake to billing was kind, clear, and extremely communicative. I truly appreciate their help, guidance, and compassion for my parental allocation case. I am keeping them on my case and will recommend them to anyone who asks. Very positive experience (that I hope I never have to have again)!
