I have just finished a case using the Colorado Springs location for representation. It was a child custody and child support case. I went with this firm due to the low up front retainer. However, this was not fully explained to me. You will be required to keep the balance of your retainer at $3000 EVERY SECOND that they represent you. If it falls below for any reason, they will call and email and tell you to take out a loan. In addition, they will charge you every week for a case review with your direct representation and their supervisor, even if NOTHING has changed and there is nothing to review. This cost me $300 per hour for the supervising lawyer and $280 per hour for the lawyer, every week. That eats away at your retainer. I would have been better off representing myself and in the end that is what happened. The lawyer offered little to no advice. I decided to proceed with mediation as outlined in my original parenting plan. When I needed the phone number to contact the mediator to pay for her services, I was charged $72 for asking this firm for the phone number. If you want to represent yourself, while being nickle and dimmed, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. If you would rather get representation that will fight for you and is worth the money, come up with the extra for the retainer, trust me it is worth it. In the end, my case was settled in my favor, but it was not because of ANYTHING that this firm did. I did file a billing dispute with them and was refunded a mere $340, but I was charged for the dispute, so in the end I did not gain anything.
