I've never needed an attorney before, but I had an employer take advantage of my ignorance and naivety and refused to pay me what I was owed on top of taking an insurance check and refusing to return the funds. Aside from her knowledge, experience, and assertiveness, (which is what you want fighting for you) she brought a sense of understanding and patience (which I undeniably require). She never gave up and ended up getting me what I was owed, plus damages. She made me whole again and I'm very grateful I didn't settle for the first attorney I spoke with. Through Cynthia, and this whole process, I learned a little bit about myself and I'm less ignorant, less naive, and won't make the same mistakes that I did before.
