Our daughter has court in Denver but is currently in Douglas County. She was to appear in court three times since February. She has ordered writs requesting to be transferred to Denver and Denver has never yet picked her up; rather, they have given her 2-3 extra warrants for not appearing. She CAN'T GET THERE!!! NO ONE ANSWERS PHONES. THIS IS ONE MESSED UP SYSTEM. SHE NEEDS REHAB AND SHE CAN'T GET TO COURT . WHO IS REALLY IN CHARGE..WHAT A SCAM.

I am highly admiring the Denver Chief deputy district attorney, Christopher G Penny, who did such a great job to show the case to the court.
Oct.30, at the Cour Rm 4G, case# 17CR02433, against the Defendenr, who together with a young man robbed our store with mask and stick.
Mr. Penny had prepared his arguments so well including some tape recorders that he successfully convinced the Court to sentence the defendant 12 years department of corrections.
As a victim, I was very thanksful for Mr. Penny, who had extremely experience, I also learned that after each crime, the DA had to work very hard to get the justice.
Now when we enjoy the nice holidays, we can not forget all our district attorneys.
Thank you, DA!

This is an interesting office. They have high volume of cases with everything from minor crimes to capital crimes. Attorneys are in trial every day of every week honing their skills. Most have a wide range of abilities to negotiate pleas on case, and others are restricted to office policies. Most if not all members of this office are professional. The office staff has been in place for a number of years and are usually very easy to work with. It is a difficult and trying area of law, that criminal law. We want strong prosecution of perpetrators, yet we want fair treatment of the accused. This office does its best to maintain that fair balance given many limitations. It could be improved however.
