April L. Jones is a life saver. If you're having disputes with your landlord, I highly recommend her. My case wasn't simple. I was planning to move to Boulder, CO for grad school from New York, but my dad had a seizure one week before I was supposed to leave. I wasn't able to move anymore. I tried communicating my family emergency with my landlord BEFORE my lease even started but they didn't care and they didn't try to help me find someone that could take over my lease. I could barely afford my rent as I didn't have my grad school funding anymore. After 5 months of trying and failing to find a lease transfer, we contacted Colorado Affordable Legal Services. They got back to us within one or two days and immediately laid out a plan of action that got me out of my lease within a couple of weeks. They are very knowledgeable, and my family and I could tell that they cared about us. I'm very grateful that we worked with them!

I spoke with them for the first time today and I must say I was extremely satisfied and happy with all the background knowledge and information I was provided my questions were answered thoroughly the individual I spoke with was very polite and kind. I can tell this is a place where they act with integrity and respect five stars recommend to anyone in need of assistance.

I was referred to Colorado Legal Services by another agency to assist me in an Unlawful Detainer filed by my landlord. I was extremely nervous and didn't know much about the Eviction process in Colorado. The firm was knowledgeable, responsive, professional, caring and made time for me even on Christmas weekend. I really appreciate their service and time. My case was dismissed on the day of court, as I had already applied for Rental Assistance 6 weeks prior and it had been approved a few days before court. My stress level was reduced tremendously by having this firm in my corner!
