100% I recommend and refer everyone facing a custody battle to reach out to Mark Chapleau! I am so grateful and thankful for Mark Chapleau and his team! The support and confidence I was given during the hardship of a custody battle was amazing. My ex drug out a custody battle for an absurd amount of time causing so much stress and anguish, leaving me concerned and constantly overthinking and worried. But I had an amazing team in my corner, that reassured me and allowed me to stay focused on being a Single, full custody father, to keep providing and allowing me to stay on top of my every day-to-day life with very little concerns about the outcome what the case was going to bring. And Mark was right! He went to bat for me! He went above and beyond, And made sure my son was the main focus. His compassion and commitment to providing the best outcome for a child was his main focus and concern and for that I am very thankful! I was fortunate (in an unfortunate situation) to work with Trent at Bloch & Chapleau. I was debating whether to get an attorney for my case or just to go in myself but I am so thankful to have obtained legal help for my case. Trent and his office were extremely helpful, worked above and beyond to exceed my expectations, were great at communicating with me, and treated me like family. Mark and his team are wonderful. I went to Mark after going through an ugly divorce mess and he picked up my case more than halfway through it (after having used another attorney). From our first meeting, he explained everything to me and he and his paralegal and billing coordinator were always super responsive and helpful. Mark helped me a ton and does not back down. Mark is very professional but also has a sense of humor, yet he goes to work for you. He knows the law very well and goes for what is right and equitable. I would use him again and again. His representation of me through my divorce restored my faith in attorneys and the legal system. Hire them! You will not be disappointed!

The worst

Incompetent team of lawyers…

Absolutely DO NOT work with this team. If attacking a pregnant woman who had absolutely nothing to do with their lawsuit wasn’t enough (even after proof was provided), Trenton was sure to continue to try and pursued me to contact my homeowners so they would just pay him out…. Even though I was in no way whatsoever involved. It was only after getting my own attorney that Trenton who knew I had absolutely nothing to do with the situation, dropped my name from the lawsuit. Not sure how he sleeps at night knowing he’s using these tactics but I would advise against using this team if morals are something you value.

I was impressed with Bloch & Chapleau from the very first conversation with Mark and Trent, all the way through to my settlement working directly with Trent. He was professional, thorough and felt he had my interests well represented. Details and information were quickly compiled and communicated to me. I felt included and informed every time a decision was needed. Trent treated me with understanding and kindness. During a challenging time in life, I appreciate the guidance and support from Trent, Mark and the rest of the team.

All the way through the process from initial conversation with Mark to finalization of my case, Mark was professional, patient, and provided guidance. Additionally, Mark and his team kept my costs down by not needlessly communicating and informing me when I was communicating in a way that was not efficient. I chose Mark because of his experience, matter of fact communication style and calm demeanor. Plus his humor. All of the supporting folks were so very kind and helpful. Its sort of scary when you have not ever needed legal support. The fear was taken away by effective and prompt communication. Good job and so thankful for Mark! P.S - the opposing attorney was unnecessarily nasty, combative and frankly a shining example of how not to act. Mark never ever let the opposing attorney’s approach affect his steadfastness or jeopardize our position and plan for resolution. Believe me, at one point I was ready to go all the way to court. Thankfully, Mark slowed me down and I got back on track and accomplished an out of court agreement that was equitable. Don't think twice - use Mark.

I came to Bloch & Chapleau, specifically for attorney Sara Cates, after having retained previous counsel that I felt was not a good match in the end. Sara from the moment I met her listened to me, I mean really listened to me, which I was in great need of. And from the moment of our initial consult on (months in total and probably for the rest of my life since my ex-husband likes to go to court), she has remained compassionate, adapted to my communication style and needs, talked to me in a productive and efficient manner whatever that may entail. I like to think of Sara and this firm as partners, because essentially that's what they are especially in ongoing high-conflict and special needs child cases like mine. I had a three-day hearing for our permanent orders and her office staff couldn't have been more supportive in all regards, and from day one as well. still waiting on our final orders to come out from the judge for our divorce to be final, but regardless my experience has been extremely positive and I highly recommend this firm especially Sara!
