I reached out to Robert Cohen to assist me in a chapter 7 bankruptcy. I feel that my case case was not your standard ch7. I had about a $150000 in personal debt between myself and my wife plus about one and a 1/2 million in business debt for 2 separate businesses. There was also some grey areas in regard to my lack of knowledge in the way I was running my business prior, so there was a lot going on with my case. Mr. Cohen handled it with ease... extremely polite, informative, and professional right from the beginning. We were in the middle of Covid so we handled some things online but were still able to get into the office to meet with him, which I appreciated. To be completely honest, in regard to the initial paperwork the court hearing and everything up until the court date everything was completely standard or as I felt I should have been treated as a client. It was professional, reasonably priced, normal operation as far as I knew. Where Rob stood out, the above and beyond, that I felt after the hearing. Most would think that after the attorney got their money and were done with the case that there is little you would expect from them some may not even return your calls as I'm sure some of you have experienced. Not Rob, I filed and had my hearing a year ago he sent me another email today he has continually followed up every couple months to keep me in the loop as to what the trustee was doing with my case. Is super efficient and professional but the customer service is above and beyond I have seen. Work ethic like this is worth sharing. In a sensitive situation as a bankruptcy like I was in I wholeheartedly would trust Cohen and Cohen To handle your case. I can't express enough what a breath of fresh air it is to have good quality people in the workforce. Thank you!

Please use caution here. I was referred to this firm by my business attorney. When I called, a young secretary answered, and when I identified myself, she surprisingly started interviewing me... I indicated that I would prefer to share my company's business with an attorney, and she excused herself and when she came back, she claimed that she had spoken with the attorney, and since I am not certain what I want to do next (Which is the exact reason anyone, including myself, calls an attorney) the attorney said that I would need to pay for an hour of his time, in advance to speak with him... A) That is the most bizarre thing I have ever heard, as everyone who calls is seeking potential advice, and direction for their next step., and B) The secretary was so incredibly rude, during our conversation, that even if I wanted to pay for an initial consultation, making me the first person to ever do so, the disrespectful way that she spoke with me, erased all desire to go further. There are hundreds of professional, meticulous, compassionate attorneys in the Denver area. Do yourself a huge favor, and pass this one by. Update. Read their response to this review carefully... It is strange, as if they are commenting on another review. And my business is far busier than theirs, and we do not charge for initial consults. Ever.

Ultimately, I only engaged Rob for a consultation instead of retaining his services (based on my situation), but I found him to be upfront, honest, knowledgeable, and overall just a pleasure to work with. He was recommended to me from a colleague, and I can, in turn, wholeheartedly recommend Cohen and Cohen as a professional, efficient firm, one that exudes the utmost quality.
