Great so far.

Tim and Valerie are very detailed and they fight Unum.

McDermott Law came at the recommendation of my wife's disability lawyer and I am ever thankful he did. The team, from start to finish, made me feel like they had my best interest at heart. Their inclusive nature kept me informed while their diligence left me hopeful. When I first spoke with Shawn McDermott, he didn't sugar coat my situation. He thoroughly explained the process and what we were up against. They did their homework well and when documents were submitted, I could really see the work that was put into my case. Because my results ended on a positive note, I know that I am probably biased but I truly believe their efforts changed the direction my life was heading. I couldn't be more thankful.

I hired Tim Garvey of McDermott law to handle my disability benefits appeal. When I hired Tim, I had about 20 years of experience as an attorney, 10 of which were spent hiring and supervising other attorneys in multimillion dollar matters for corporate clients. I've worked with some truly exceptional attorneys over the years in a number of different specialty areas. Tim Garvey was the best hire I've ever made, hands-down. He is an exceptional attorney, and somehow was even more thorough with my case than I was - he absorbed the medical records I'd been living with for nearly a year in a few conversations. When he sent me drafts, I couldn't improve them. He missed nothing. The legal arguments were some of the best I'd ever seen. This is a highly specialized area of the law, and even among those specialists, Tim is absolutely superior, a top 1% talent. There is no amount of money I could have spent to get better representation. Most clients like their lawyer when they win, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're good. While Tim did win my case, I made my judgment about him long before that. I hope you never need him, but if you do, I hope you have the good sense to hire him.

Pretty good people

I was denied my disability pension and feeling very overwhelmed and confused by the insurance companies dismissive attitude and what felt like was a complete brush off of my compounded medical conditions. I contacted McDermott Law and they helped me through the entire process and we won on the first appeal. I was incredibly relieved as I couldn't understand how I was denied in the first place.
