I am grateful for the staff of the Rider Goodwin Law Firm in helping me out through my complicated and contested divorce. I first learned of the firm from a non-profit organization that provides referrals and resources to for victims of domestic violence, and the firm is known for their pro bono work in helping survivors of abuse. I had hastily chosen my first family law firm once realizing I had become the victim of crimes in my marriage, and I did not feel completely comfortable with my first firm to handle my complicated case with many legal layers. When I met with Kelley, she was very informative and friendly and assured me that her method of practice is to inform her clients so that they can make the best decisions for their own situation. I felt relieved after meeting her, and I trusted her and her firm at a gut level. They did not prove me wrong. Gayle Moser was the attorney who handled my case, and her working knowledge of the system was very helpful in guiding my decisions and getting a good outcome for my case. The firm always had the safety of my children and myself at the forefront, and Gayle was quick to respond and guide me when more stressful safety concerns arose. We were able to reach a settlement agreement out of court, which was likely the best outcome for all involved as it allowed us. Gayle and Kelley were always respectful, supportive, patient, and compassionate in their work with me, and I know that they worked hard on my behalf. I brought Gayle on as my lawyer about halfway through the divorce that I was filing for myself. The legalize and requirements, at that point, made me realize I was a little over my head. I hired Gayle Moser in March 2015 to assist me with some post-decree legal matters relating to parenting time, child support, and shared responsibilities with the children. Gail handled my divorce in 2013. She was always prepared, very thorough and detail oriented. She was able to do what most people told me was not possible. She presented a very concise case to the judge and was able to convince the judge that it was in my children's best interest to award sole decision making to me.
