Twice, I have had IRS challenges. TWICE, Johna Varty with Riggs, Abney has given me polite, prompt and professional advice! Yesterday, I called Riggs, Abney for help and requested Johna directly because of how she helped me a year ago. She gave me instructions on what to do. And things were FAR EASIER than I expected!!! Riggs, Abney has helped me several times over the years with various issues. As we all know, there is no more formidable legal foe than the IRS. Johna is just the attorney you want on your side. I just wish I could give more than 5 STARS!

I was excited to join "Legal Shield" and enjoy the piece of mind it offered with a law firm on call to take a stand on my behalf. With the first support request I questioned the usefulness and value of the service. No representation was offered, just directions on locating "self help" forms on the county courthouse website. With the second attempt, of a much more serious nature, I discovered how worthless the service is that I have contributing my paycheck to for years. I was treated with a rude, crass attitude, cut off, talked over and left to retain a different firm to protect my interests. The disinterest and condescension was blatant and I was informed that the Legal Shield service consists of writing legal letters....but remember that was a maximum of one per case or issue (intake #). My opinion is that there are better services and options when it comes to legal memberships. Particularly if it involves a different firm providing the services.

We received a letter from this attorney to preform work on a customers house. We have called 5 times and never receive a call back. Sounds like a scam to me.

They Lie!!!! They do not offer actual coverage. They always refer you out to a Attorney at a "Discount" which is full of Lies. you can find any attorney out there to give you free consultation and advice. I have had Prepaid legal for years and Now Legal Shield and its a scam Every time I needed them for something that they claim they cover under your benefits...WRONG they always have some kind of limitations and you dont meet it and your going to have to pay extra for a Attorney....and at the same cost as if you didnt have it.... Save yourself and your money SCAM Liar con artists and when you confront them on it they always say well look into and get back and never do

I had been a member of the Prepaid plan for almost five years and was sued by my HOA. I was supposed to receive 8 hours of "free prep" time for the court date. When I asked about the free legal coverage, the attorney I was assigned to, Mr. Steven Hill, said "I don't do insurance". In the end, I paid Riggs and Abney over $10K to represent me and Mr. Hill didn't even know Colorado State HOA laws. Mr. Hill advised me that abitration in Colorado was non-binding and the issue could still be heard in court. But once you go to arbitration, nothing can be appealed (even when the other side lies). But Mr Hill's advise cost my dearly. Also, Mr. Hill did NOT use evidence I had provided to him months prior to the court date. Maybe these Prepaid attorneys are good at preparing wills, contracts, etc. But my experience of using one of these "Prepaids Attorneys" for a Colorado HOA civil case, it cost me tens of thousands of dollars due to Mr Hill's ignorance of law and just lack of basic Colorado civil laws. I did complain to the partners at Riggs (Denver office) and they still didn't provide the coverage of the Prepaid plan. Run as fast as you can from Mr Hill and this firm!

I have contacted this office, several times for different reasons. I have most often received polite service. They contact you right away and are very knowledgeable on their respective subjects. I have spoke to one person who was a bit abrupt, but that can happen when dealing with multiple individuals. I will continue to use them and receive their support. So should you!

Condescending, Rude, unorganized and knowledgeable . Client Beware, don't waste your money.
