I keep getting emails from Avvo to review an attorney I've hired from this site, so here goes. his name is James Forslund out of Englewood, CO. he specializes in DUI. thank goodness I made the point of reading an article that he had authored on his web site in the recent past and it got my attention. I liked that he appeared, ethical, honest, no-nonsensical, and mature in the business. those 4 attributes are very important to me when I start HANDIING A LOT OF MY CASH OVER TO SOMEONE else's HAND IN THE BEGINNING STAGES OF A PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIP. but I did it and I'm very glad that I did. please keep in mind that this is only the "beginning" but I'm pretty certain he will do all that he can to help myself get back on my feet. I have a good feeling about all of this, including his level of expertise, courtroom confidence, education and love of his work. OMG! let's hope so! no, just kidding! I KNOW SO! I will let you all know how this turns outs for me.

Jim and Gary helped me way before I actually came to them. Then after payment they continued to help me.These guys are great !!This may not be a easy process so I wouldn't attempt it on your own. Thanks Gary and Jim.

Jim and Gary were extremely helpful and knowledgeable from day one. I was in the process of re-obtaining my license after NY had revoked it for DWI. Gary continually answered my questions and spoke me through the process, whilst, explaining of Colorados generous DMV laws in relation to other states. He placed me in contact with all the appropriate folks, and although, the process took a couple of months I was granted my privilege back even though NY still maintains a hold. I would highly recommend Gary and Jim to anyone in my situation.

I had a bleak situation with a revoked driver's license in another state. I wasn't supposed to be able to have a legal driver's license until 2022 (and this was 2011). I did a Google search to see if there was any state where I might be able to get a license and Jim Forslund's website came up. It seemed too good to be true. I was skeptical all the way until I actually received my restricted driver's license in Colorado. Jim was there for me every step of the way through the hearing process (which was initially denied and then won on appeal). I honestly thought my life was over. There's not much of a life you can live in this country without a driver's license. Jim literally saved my life. I now have an unrestricted Colorado license and am living a happy life. I urge anybody who is struggling with a revoked license in another state, to call Jim Forslund. It will seem too good to be true at first, but, trust me, it is not.

I contacted Jim than immediately went to see him for the free consultation. Jim explained to me that under Colorado law my case was very good for winning my license back and at the very least it would be given with restrictions under Colorado Law. He told me he just had a case almost identical to mine and the license was received with no problem. I signed a contract with Jim and have him the flat rate of 1,200 dollars. When I showed up for my hearing there was no sign of Jim. I was greeted by Gary who informed me he was my attorney although I had never met him or hired him. Gary proceeds to tell me he's had two DUI's of his own and really understands my need to drive. This man knew nothing of my case so I proceed to inform him why we are here 10 minutes before we walk in. When he sees my hearing officer in the hall he says he has had issues with her and he sure hopes we do not get her. Of course this woman calls us in and while we are walking in Gary is muttering "Sh&$, Sh&$, Sh&$" under his breath. At this point I realize I am in a real bad comedy of which I am the star and it's going to cost me my license as well as 1,200 dollars. The officer refuses my license for an existing hold in Michigan 8 years prior and Gary says he doesn't agree with that and that was it. We get up. We leave. Gary is rushing to his car as I catch up and ask what happens next. Gary asks for my phone number which he doesn't have of course being he knows nothing about me and says he'll call. I call Jim immediately and he never responded. Gary did call actually to inform me that he knows a good lawyer for an Appeal and all I need to do is come up with another 1,500 dollars. I ask what I payed Jim Forseland 1,200 dollars for and he couldn't come up with a decent response and so he tells me he doesn't really know he is just an independent contractor. Every word of this is true. I've never written a review for a business in my life. I just thought at the very least I could try and help someone else. These guys are the Attorney equivalent of common street thugs. Save your money please. God knows you are already going through a bad time.

I have never been in trouble with the law--not even a speeding ticket. When I got a DUI, I was scared and very overwhelmed. Jim and his entire team (Gary and Bob) made me feel very comfortable and they were always there to answer any questions and walk me through everything regarding my case. I felt as if I was talking to friends (That were extremely knowledgeable). I would recommend Jim and his team to anyone that has found themselves on the wrong side of the law. They are there to help and will not judge. They also explain everything in layman's terms so I was able to understand what to expect throughout this process. They are also extremely reliable. Always on time and will answer e-mails and phone calls right away. Thank you, Jim!!! I guarantee I will never get another DUI, but if I do, I will call you. I appreciate you all :)

It started with one phone call. I had two years sober when I found Jim, finding a good job was proving to be difficult and I felt all I needed was one more chance. I searched the internet hoping to find that last chance and I came across Jim Forslund's web page and I called him the following morning. Jim was vary attentive and genuine when I explained to him my past driving history and that I was a multiple offender in my home state. After consulting with me about my case he explained to me the necessary steps that I would have to do on my end, assuring me he would be with me every step of the way - and that he was. Any time I needed to speak to Jim, he was right there for me. The proceedings went exactly as he explained. He was there to answer all of my questions all along the way. He consistently made me feel confident in the process - all the way to getting my license back. Jim proved to be an excellent attorney and someone who has a genuine want to help. I sought advice from Mr. Forslund about getting a Colorado Drivers License even though my Florida license is on permanent restriction from old DUI's. I found Jim to be quite knowledgeable about the hearing process. I'm always able to reach Him either by office phone, cellphone, or email. When I asked about Mr. Forslund at the Colorado Dept of Revenue he was endorsed as having a high level of integrity. I can highly recommend Mr. Forslund to anyone who is dealing with a driver's license issue in Colorado.

These guys are all about plea bargains and they aren't very good at that. If you have a criminal case (and DUI is) get a real lawyer. These guys are so called "DUI specialists" and anything out of their comfort zone, which is anything other than a plea bargain, they won't do. They even messed up my DMV hearing and I ended up missing it because they weren't proactive in finding out when it was scheduled. I ended up having to fire them.

Jim was successful in helping me reinstate my license after a revocation in a another state. Jim was very knowledgable, prepared, and responsive.

Having gotten several out of state DUIs I luckily made it into Rehab and successful recovery (over 5 years of sobriety). Several years later, I became a legal resident of Colorado but could not get my name removed from the National DUI registry to get a driver’s license through the DMV even though my court requirements for the last DUI were met. Fearful that my driving privilege would never be reinstated I contacted Jim Forslund’s office and after an informative discussion hired him. As my legal representative, he and his associate Mr. Pareja, applying Colorado law, were instrumental in guiding me through the tedious CO MVD process and hearings in order for me to regain a restricted driver license requiring an interlock device for 2 years . After the interlock requirement was met, Jim provided a follow-up service representing my interest during the next round of MVD hearings. Due to clerical error and subsequent misunderstanding with my out of state records, my initial request for full privileges was denied. However, with Jim’s persistent assistance of my case with the MVD hearing office as a part of the follow-up service, the misunderstanding was cleared up and I was finally granted my full driving privileges. Mr. Forslund always received or returned my phone calls and responded to my emails in a timely fashion and always had time to discuss my case. Because of his professional and compassionate demeanor I consider him more of a friend than as my attorney. He and his associate Mr. Pareja are knowledgeable in all aspects of Colorado Law as it to applies to DUI and were readily accessible for all questions and concerns a client might have. As such, I whole heartedly recommend him to anyone accused of DUI or in need of excellent legal advice especially as it pertains interstate DUI and Colorado Law.
