We had interviewed several attorneys before finding Franz. Within minutes of the consultation, we knew he was the one to choose. He did an amazing job in reducing the DUI and having it dropped with the DMV. Wow!! His calming nature and honest direction helped us through this process. We were given a gift!! We would recommend Franz without hesitation.

Franz is a wonderful attorney and was a pleasure to work with. I was facing a 1st time DUI charge and refusal revocation as a result of a motorcycle accident. As a result of working with Franz, the DMV refusal case was dismissed. Franz was also able to get the DUI and reckless driving charges deferred with minimal community service and the attendance of Level 2 classes. While everyone is hoping for a lawyer to get all charges dismissed and make it like it never happened, I am more pleased with the results. Franz was honest and upfront with me when I needed to make decisions on the case and always provided more than enough information to make an informed decision. In my view, Franz was more than fair with the cost of his services. I was charged a flat rate that included both the DMV and court cases. Since Franz operated on a flat rate, I was nervous about how much time he would allocate to me as a client but that was quickly dispelled. Franz is very articulate and our hour-long scheduled phone calls typically went over on time. While I had a lot of questions, which Franz was able to answer, the reason for the overage in time is that Franz meticulously explained everything and considered all of the options. In another life, Franz more than likely was a therapist. While I don't expect my attorney to act as my therapist, I always felt better after speaking with Franz and never got the feeling that I was just another paycheck. I really appreciated that despite the hearings being held over Zoom, Franz wanted to make the 3-hour drive to my town on two separate occasions to make an appearance. Again, Franz charged me a flat rate so this drive time was included. To wrap this up, my experience with Franz was nothing short of spectacular. He never over-promised anything and set realistic expectations for the outcomes. He always came out ahead of every expectation that he set. He was patient and understanding and just a good soul. Franz will be my attorney for all future attorney needs hopefully ones that are not criminal in nature. 10 out of 10 would recommend Franz to anyone.

Hiring Franz was one of the best choices I’ve made in a long time. After being arrested for a DUI, I couldn’t help but feel that “my life was over” and all hope was lost. From the beginning, Franz was superb at calming me down and helping me get through that initial rough patch following the arrest. He encouraged me to begin steps toward mitigation VERY early on in the process, which helped my case a ton. Franz knows what he’s doing in every regard. I was extremely impressed with his knowledge and repertoire with our local courts, DAs, judges, etc. Franz made sure I was prepared for anything thrown my way and he really made an effort to ensure I understood each step of the process. He is attentive, always on-call, and eager to help on even the smallest of questions. Most notably, he was able to get my case a deferred sentencing. This means that after two years of good behavior, my case will be dismissed. I honestly never even thought this was a possibility given the nature of my case, but Franz made it happen. His dedication and work on my case led to the best possible outcome, and I honestly credit him with helping me get my life back after I thought all was lost. Franz is an excellent person and an even better lawyer. Truly the best of the best and I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

I have known Franz Frechette, as friend and colleague for 20 plus years. We had the pleasure of co-counselling a complex civil rights case in the Federal Court and Second Circuit Court of Appeals. On that case, he even brought an appeal to our Vermont Supreme Court on an issue of state constitutional law that other lawyers may have missed. Franz was an excellent lawyer! I was arrested for misdemeanor assault while on probation for a separate case. This quickly turned my life upside down, but because of Franz and his excellent work that he was able to do, my situation ended with the best possible outcome that I could have wished for. However this was because of how dedicated and engaged Franz was as my lawyer, he was on top of everything and did such a good job communicating every detail of the case with me throughout the entire process. Franz goes above and beyond on all aspects with his clients, he truly cares about the well being of his clients and makes that very clear right off that bat. Franz was the absolute best throughout the entire process. I was arrested for a dui and he not only calmed me, but also was able to ensure the best outcome I could have expected. He got my charges bumped down to a dwai as well as won my dmv hearing so my license wasn’t revoked. Franz (Eagle) Frechette Is an outstanding Lawyer and now a close friend of the family. While on probation in Jefferson County Co, I was arrested for disorderly conduct. This was a violation of probation. For starters, Franz helped in getting me taken off probation in Jefferson county, while my fear was jail time. Secondly, I was awarded a much lower punishment then what was originally intended by the court. I did not serve any jail time, community service was the worst of it. What is worse than being caught in the system, fighting against allegations and the well-stacked deck of the DMV/City Hall? And then, if one has the audacity to hope for actual justice, one has to then somehow find a competent attorney amongst all those, well, lawyers? My experience was my first and only hassle with cops and courts, which is such a daunting, depressing, and oppressive place to be. The very best and luckiest part of my whole DWAI experience was being referred to attorney Franz Freschette. Not only did his knowledge, legal tactics, and the truth win my appeal, my case was eventually dismissed. Aside from his keen intellect, Franz is also a capable and compassionate person with an ability to help you keep your head and your hopes up through the darkest days/machinations of the whole slow and dismal legal process, and to translate the otherwise indecipherable legalese. I hired Franz to help me with a DUI case. Though there are many great things I could say about Franz, the best is - because of Franz, I DID NOT LOOSE MY DRIVER'S LICENSE. Franz is awesome.

We hired Franz when the unthinkable happened. It's the call you fear when you are a parent of a young adult. My 23 year old son flipped and totaled his car, at 3am, and was arrested for DUI. Thankfully he was not injured, and did not injure any other person or property. We hadn't a clue what to do, but someone recommended Franz. We are extremely grateful for him for many reasons: the time and attention that he gave us, the unlimited access, the compassion and non-judgmental way he interacted with my son, and the absolutely perfect advice he gave us that could only have come from his years of experience. Mr. Frechette was an extremely helpful and thorough lawyer. By following his counsil, I was able to receive the minimum sentence for a second DUI conviction. As such I am able to keep working and raising my children with a minimum disruption to my life. Mr. Frechette was concise, specific, and knew exactly what I needed to do.
