The loss of a spouse is not easy. Being in the same accident in which you lose your spouse is not easy, particularly when there are injured children involved and you are injured too. Prior to June 2015 I was skeptical about using an attorney in situations like this. Due to our accident, I discovered that I was doing myself such a disservice. Allowing Ms. Blair, at the VanMeveren Law Group, to handle the details of insurance and the myriad doctor bills and all such communication was the lighthouse in the storm. After I was hit by a car I thought the most difficult thing I would have to go through was recovering from my injuries. I was seriously injured in an auto accident wherein the driver of a large pickup truck made a U-turn into the driver’s door of my vehicle. I attempted to settle the claim myself. After my husband was rear-ended and broke his back, dealing with the insurance company was a nightmare! His vehicle was totaled, he was in the hospital and rehab hospital and was out of work for a long time. The insurance company was calling me everyday and trying to get personal information and my husband's social security number. Be warned: insurance adjusters are sleazy and deceptive. I interviewed several attorneys and Brian and Bill were kind, caring and compassionate. After we turned over the case to them, we were able to relax and my husband could recover. Similar to the other commentators--after being whacked a couple of times, I decided to seek help from Bryan's firm. I found that it was easy to stay completely in synch with their thinking about my case. They brought the right expertise to the table to make a fairly overwhelming case. I was able to get a clear understanding--almost spreadsheet style--in how decisions we were making would affect the outcome. Color me skeptical--but they overcame my fears to provide an excellent process and outcome. They quickly incorporated several personal vectors that I strongly preferred. Five stars means "Loved it" above. I didn't love it, but it worked very well.
