Rob fought hard and victoriously for me to get a bogus trespassing case dropped without me ever having to step foot in a courtroom. I never had to follow-up or do anything whatsoever, as Rob took care of everything on a case that dragged out for greater than six months. I highly recommend Rob and would definitely want him to represent me again in the future.

I was in an absolutely terrible situation with Arapahoe county judicial system and needed help immensely. I was referred to rob by a family member and contacted him immediately. I hired Werking Law to represent me in November of 2014 after being unjustly charged with prostitution and solicitation in September of 2014. Robert Werking had my case dismissed in early April of 2015, less than a week before I was set for jury trial. I am so relieved and grateful to Robert Werking for being in my corner throughout this entire ordeal, that it is my pleasure to write a very detailed review for Werking Law Firm. Knowing the devastation these types of charges could potentially have on my career (I am a massage therapist) and my future (I am also a single mother of a young daughter); I wanted only the best attorney to represent my case. I extensively researched and interviewed (in person) a total of three attorneys. All three attorneys had 5 star ratings, were former prosecutors, were listed as “Super Lawyers” and were also listed in the top 100 Trial Attorneys in the United States. I chose Robert Werking for several reasons. The first was his experience. While the other two attorneys were certainly qualified, Robert Werking had over 22 years of experience; more than double the other two attorneys I had researched. The second reason was his genuine interest in my case. He seemed very concerned at the lack of ethics the Denver Police Department had shown in my arrest, processing evidence, and the way they treated me during detainment. Our system is supposed to treat citizens suspected of crimes as innocent until proven guilty, but from first contact with police, they treated me as though I were a guilty, morally reprehensible criminal, unworthy of even the most basic human respect. Emotionally, it was devastating to be treated this way from people in authority that I have been raised all my life to believe are incorruptible and trust-worthy. Many times, attorneys are indifferent to innocence or guilt, as it will not impact their ability to challenge evidence sufficient to secure a conviction. My personal and family relationships had suffered a great deal as a result of these charges; so feeling that someone was truly on my side and believed in my innocence was crucial to my getting through this ordeal. It was very apparent that Robert took my charges and my side of the story very seriously. The last reason I chose Robert Werking was because his retainer’s fee was very competitive. I was surprised that with all his credentials, he was charging me less than the other two attorneys, who were equally qualified but had less experience. After retaining Robert Werking, I was pleased at his diligence in maintaining consistent communication. He always kept me up to date (via phone or email) with my case, what motions had been filed, what the next step was, and what to expect. I cannot express what a relief this was to me during a terrifying time where, in spite of my innocence, I was very anxious and unsure of the outcome. Robert Werking had already uncovered several mistakes in police documentation, possible perjury in police statements and the withholding of important evidence that could exonerate me completely of all the charges. To reassure me, Robert Werking met with me several times, even consulting other attorneys from his firm into our meetings in order to get every possible perspective and strategy for my defense. His attention to detail was meticulous and he left nothing to chance. In spite of the high levels of stress and anxiety I had regarding trial, especially facing charges that have such a negative social stigma attached to them, he rehearsed testimony with me until I felt confident I was ready to face a panel of six of my peers to maintain my innocence. Seven months later, and less than a week before trial, he called me with the news that the DA had accepted his motion to dismiss any and all charges against me. I cannot describe my relief.

The arapahoe county district attorney continued my case every month for sixteen months. He stated he wanted a felony conviction if aggravated which he threatened was a maximum of fifteen years.I had to live in limbo with lots of stress. I was on an GPS monitoring system, which is fifteen dollars a day and was being charged with my first felony. A mother of a friend of mine heard of my situation. She has a nephew who received a felony and he is still in prison after ten years. Her nephew had been represented by a court appointed public defender as I was at the time. She insisted I get an attorney. She had read an article on Mr. Werking being one of the top attorneys in Colorado. We sat down down at the computer and messaged Mr. Werking and ten minutes later Mr. Werking called me personally and arranged a consultation the next day. After two court dates, I was offered a misdemeanor deal, which I took and am now on my way to completing my probation. I highly recommend Mr. Werking. He is tough, incredibly smart and in my opinion one of the top attorneys in the world. In less then a month with Mr. Werking my case was over.
