In July of 2020, I was falsely accused of Domestic Violence. I had no idea what to do here. I was given Maureen's name by a friend of mine. Since I had never been in trouble before I was totally clueless on the way the courts/justice system worked. Maureen explained everything to me basically holding my hand throughout the whole procedure. I didn't realize that a person can be thrown in jail for DV. After this happened to me Maureen was able to get me out of jail very fast. Maureen is a very good attorney that she is easy to talk to, understands the legal system, and can stand up for her client. Maureen was able to convince the prosecuting attorney that there was not enough evidence to go to trial.

She helped me with a DWAI and traffic charge. She was very supportive when I was feeling the weight of these charges. Maureen is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the law and did an outstanding job representing our daughter across multiple counties in Colorado. That alone would be a 10 out of 10 for Maureen as a lawyer but Maureen is also compassionate , caring , responsible, understanding ,empathetic and loving towards her clients and their families. Maureen is an excellent attorney and all around good person. She is was very personable and compassionate. She was concerned for my best interest, quick to respond to my question and ranting emails. She is knowledgable and has a good repport with prosecuting district attorney's and judges. She kept me informed. Maureen will not coddle or tenderly tell you the possible outcomes of your case, or what youre wanting to hear. She is a straight shooter and doesn't beat around the bush. However, she is also empathetic, understanding and quick with a hug, words of encouragement, or at time she will take you to task if need be. Maureen O'Brien is the best attorney one can ever have. She is a five star attorney. Maureen is very knowledgeable with the law and will do whatever it takes to win a case while maintaining her cool and professionalism in the judicial system-having an attorney who is respected in the judicial system is an asset. Another great asset about Maureen is she is very compassionate and attentive to her clients. I also liked the way she had a one on one meeting with the District Attorney and professionally explained the case which led to a successful resolution.

Maureen is one of the most likeable and intelligent people I have ever met. When I asked her for help she dedicated her time and energy to get me through a rough time in my life. I will be brief. This is the best attorney (along with her partner Fred Bibik) you can partner with in the state of Colorado. I hired Maureen to help me with a third degree assault change (relatively minor infraction for her). What I got was an amazing person that put 100% of her being into defending me. She is brilliant, compassionate, creative and unbelievably tenacious. You will not find a better advocate for your case. I did not know Maureen before I hired her 6 months ago. She is now not only my attorney but a trusted friend.

Maureen is highly knowledgeable and very adept at thinking of different strategies to handle each case. She worked with our family on a really serious criminal charge that our teenage son had gotten himself into. Maureen was never judgmental or condescending. In fact, she was very supportive, caring and professional. At the same time, she was tough. She supported all of us, but held all of us accountable for both his previous actions and his future. In our case, things turned out very well, which was nothing short of a miracle. This was due in large part to Maureen's efforts and legal expertise. Maureen did a case for me in which I got charged for possession/distribution of a controlled substance, in a large quantity. Without her, I would have been stuck in a position where i possibly was looking at DOC for 4 years. I ended up with only a year of probation, house arrest for 90 days, and $300.00 in fines. She was always very creative in ways to deal with the DA and strategies that would help me out in the long run. She also helped me realize a lot of important lessons I needed to learn. I highly recommend her; she is very kind, very trustworthy, and very intelligent.
