I had an overall positive experience being represented by Nathaniel. I thought that he did a great job behind the scenes working to get the prosecutor to dismiss my case. I wish he had done a little more to let me know what the status of my case was but whenever I had questions, he got back to me and filled me in on the issues that I was worried about. I couldn't be happier with the result.

I would give this attorney ZERO stars, but that is impossible. I hired Mr. Baca to represent me in my criminal case. He claims his flat fee is warranted because he is to do the same about of work if the case goes to trial or if a plea is accepted. He advised me to plea. I should of seen that coming. He spent about 10 mins in court with me. He must of spent 30 mins total on my case, and most of that was him notifying the court of his entry of appearance. He never contacted me about my case. I was in jail, and he never spoke with me. He did not review the discovery with me and he did not even formulate a defensive for me. He sure kept that flat fee he charged and he did nothing for me. Nothing. He has not taking a case to trail in over 6 years. . A public defender would serve you better. Save your money. He demonstrated limit knowledge of the law and even less knowledge of court room procedures.

I want to think Nathaniel for the work he did for my brother. My brother was fetching a life sentence in Arapaho. The case ended up taking a couple of years. Nathaniel kept fighting the whole time. He never give up on my brother when he needed it. Nathaniel managed to get a really good offer out of the DA and my brother happily took it. I am getting to see my brother again. Thank you

My brother's wife accused me of stealing and breaking her stuff. My brother was going through a divorce and I was helping him move his things out. Before I knew it, the cops were at the door. They didn't listen to me and arrested me and my brother. I couldn't believe this was happening to me. I hired Nathaniel because my previous attorney didn't seem very interested in my case. I hired him right before the trial. He asked the judge for more time but the judge denied the request so we went to trial. I think it fired him up when the judge didn't give him more time. He was tough on my brother's ex-wife and it was clear she was lying. He had my brother testify and did a good job helping my case. We won the trial. After my case, she didn't bother showing up to my brother's case and it got dismissed. I hope she learned her lesson.

I spoke with Nathaniel about a felony DV that I had in Boulder. This isn't my first case and I have experience dealing with criminal defense attorneys. What impressed me about Nathaniel is he didn't give me the usual sales pitch. Instead, he listened to me and then explained the strengths and weaknesses of my case. After we talked about the case, he did something that no attorney has ever done for me, he told me who I needed to hire to give me the best shot. He helped me instead of trying to sell himself. And he was right. The attorney that he sent me to got my case dismissed on the issue that Nathaniel told me about. I am really thankful for his honesty. No other attorney would have done what he did.

My ex-girlfriend accused me of cheating on her and then called the cops. She made up charges and they took me to jail. I won the case and got my life back. The cops treated me unfairly and I never should have been accused in the first place. I am truly greatful that I won my case and got to tell the jury the truth. Nathaniel picked my ex-girlfriend apart when she took the stand and I think that was the turning point for my case. I am very satisfied with his help and recommend him to others.

I picked up a DUI and decided to go with Nathaniel. I had never been in trouble before and I was scared from what I heard about Arapahoe. Nathaniel set me at ease and did a great job representing me. I couldn't be happier with the way he handled the case. It went on for a long time but it was worth it to get the right result.

I had Nathaniel represent me on a case in Denver and everything went well for me. He took the time to answer my questions and made sure I understood what was going on. More importantly, I felt like my options had been explained well enough for me to make good decisions. If I am ever in a similar situation, I would call Nathaniel again.

When I was charged with a crime in Denver, Nathaniel was dedicated to my case and did excellent work, getting me a deferred judgment. I was originally charged with assault and child abuse but the charges were lowered in large part because Nathaniel got to know me and let the prosecutor know who I really was. I was very happy with the way Nathaniel handled my case and, seeing the results that other attorney's were getting for their clients in my courtroom, I feel like Nathaniel made a big difference for me.

Anthony "Nate" Baca may be the most incompetent, unreliable, and pathetic attorney in the Denver area. I hired Mr. Baca to represent me for two separate, unrelated cases, both of which he failed to do anything for me other than collect a paycheck. In fact, after paying him and signing a contract that locked me in under his terms, I was forced to hire another attorney to work with him as I was petrified by his lackluster demeanor, posture in the courtroom, inability to effectively communicate, and his poor judgment. On a case that was "open and shut" by his own account, I was found guilty by jury and sentenced to 30 days in jail. Mr. Baca advised me that he would file a motion to request house-arrest, then subsequently ceased all communication forcing me to hire yet ANOTHER attorney to pick up the pieces. His "bargain basement" prices will cost you more that you can imagine. He refused to return phone calls, emails, or text messages in a timely manner, consistently missed deadlines, failed to communicate with my other attorney, and performed poorly in every measurable attribute. Caveat.

I worked closely with Nathaniel during his time at the New Mexico Public Defender Department, and can attest to his skill and diligence as an attorney. He never walked into the courtroom without EVERY piece of data relevant to his case, and I watched his high level of preparation earn him advantages against opposing counsel time and again. To this day, the attorneys of the NM Public Defender Department still use the information gathering systems designed by Mr. Baca to improve the quality of representation.
