Our experience with Tim Parks at Davis-Schilken was very satisfying. We appreciated the thoroughness of his work for us, especially the time that Tim took to explain the various components of our trust, their benefits, and the steps necessary to ensure that “all our ducks were in a row”. We also appreciated that they ensured that our children were also educated about how the trust might affect them and the roles they would be expected to fill in the future.
We also especially appreciated Tim’s friendly approach, which put us completely at ease, and his openness to whatever questions we had about the process and the components of our trust.
We do have a couple of suggestions for actions that would have made the experience even better.
a. Provision of a written document for us to keep with our records at the time of our initial visit that laid out exactly the scope of services that we were contracting for. (This may have been done, but we have no clear recollection of it, nor do we have it in our possession.)
b. Better attention to social distancing practices during this current period of COVID-19 concerns, e.g., ensuring that all individuals maintain 6 ft of separation to the greatest extent possible & provision of handwipes or disinfectant for client use as needed/desired
