They are easily contacted by email or phone and are prompt in responding. We have had success applying for and being granted asylum with SOMOS, acquiring an I-94, applying for, and receiving, TPS (Temporary Protective Status) and will be applying for residency/green cards through them also. SOMOS has access to fast translation of documents in a variety of languages. When appropriate, meetings can be done outside the office through videoconferencing or by phone. Jennaweh goes above and beyond to prepare for court hearings. In the case of asylum, she completes a very thorough brief which she sends to the presiding judge before the actual final hearing date, she has clients do a practice interview session with her before going to court also. SOMOS is always willing to answer any questions you may have, give helpful advice, and consistently updates clients on their case progress and next steps to be completed. I am convinced that we were granted asylum due to Jennaweh’s and Michelle’s commitment to our case and their consistent work. After our final court hearing, the presiding judge told us that we have an excellent attorney and the brief she submitted before the hearing was very helpful and offered an understanding of the case ahead of court.
