I met Attorney Spinella at one of the most challenging times in my life. I was under siege by someone who was determined to have me criminally prosecuted for very serious charges. Without getting into details, an entire case was falsely manufactured to support these completely fraudulent claims. Suffice to say, that Attorney Spinella completely protected me by methodically breaking down the and disproving the accusations, thereby giving me my life back. I am a Connecticut lawyer and own a summer home in Old Lyme. Several years ago the town, acting by its Zoning Commission, adopted an ordinance denying seasonal users of property from using their homes between November and April. I hired Paul Spinella and recruited hundreds of other 'summer people' to join in the litigation to overturn this unconstitutional act of the town. Attorney Spinella brought a civil rights lawsuit in the Connecticut Federal Court, claiming that our Fourteenth Amendment and other constitutional rights were violated. Following a lengthy legal battle, he was successful in having the ordinance declared illegal and the town revoked it thereby restoring our full property rights, More than 2,000 landowners benefited from the court action.This case serves as a deterrent to other shoreline communities which might consider limiting use of property to seasonal only!
