I had never been arrested or needed a criminal attorney before, so I had no idea who to call. I was recommended to the Duffy Law Group by a trusted friend. Who is a man of integrity and honesty. I trusted his advice, spoke with Felice Duffy and then met with Attorney Smith. He was great to work with; very professional, helpful and down -to -earth. He walked with me through this whole ordeal. I am so pleased with Attorney Smith and this firm. The charges against me, were greatly reduced. I highly recommend them.

Having hired Felice late in a Title IX school proceeding that typically leads to expulsion, I was concerned about the impact hiring a new attorney late into a case would have. My concerns were completely unwarranted - mostly due to the amazing job of Felice and her team at Duffy Law. Felice is extremely well-versed in Title IX school proceedings, as she also fought tooth and nail to defend my right to fight back against the false accusations I was facing, where pretty much every due process right I thought I had was stripped from me. On multiple occasions she was able to convince the school investigator to reconsider and reverse their position on biased policies. One of the many examples of blatant bias Felice was able to fight back against was not allowing me to present my own witnesses when witnesses were presented against me. While these may seem like standard protections we are provided through the law - I quickly learned the hard way prior to hiring Felice that this is almost never the case in university hearings and processes. Felice was not only an incredible attorney, but also a genuine and cognizant person as well as a steady hand throughout a emotional roller coster of an eight month process that there seemed to be no coming back from. I was incredibly impressed with Felice's ability to always be there for me not only as my attorney but also as a person, no matter my state of mind or the circumstances surrounding. It was with Felice's assistance that I was able to not only complete the disciplinary process, but continue on with my life afterwards. If you are going through any sort of disciplinary process, please know that you do need an attorney like Felice Duffy who knows the ins and outs of college proceedings to protect not only your education but your future!

They are truly amazing. The Duffy Law group basically helped give me my life back. Not to go too into what occurred, they basically gave me a second chance at my career and helped me get into medical school. It was a long process but they were there the whole way and I can truly say that without them, I don't know where I would be right now.

"I am writing to let any college student who gets accused of something serious by their school know that they need a lawyer like Felice Duffy to defend them. I was accused of something terrible by a female student that I would never do and didn’t do. Even though I knew exactly what actually happened, I was very scared that my university’s response to the situation might not find me innocent. It was terrifying to think that I might lose my full basketball scholarship or could have been suspended or expelled and that me and my family’s name could have gotten a horrible reputation. I can’t even put into words how I excited I was when I got the letter from the school that cleared me completely of the charges against me and I have Felice to thank for that 100%. Since I’m not in Connecticut, Felice and her investigator used video conferencing to interview me and my witnesses, talk with my parents, and get me fully prepared for every meeting I had with my school. They got all my texts and email that proved my innocence and organized them perfectly for the Dean and the discipline committee. Felice was always very direct and respectful even though the subject matter was very personal, and she was always ahead of the school in terms of getting me and them important information at every step. It was like having the best scouting report ever. Felice obviously knows the law and how schools work but she also deeply cares. You can tell that she loves the work she’s doing to help college kids like me in really difficult situations.

I was referred by a friend and very well respected lawyer to Paul Thomas and Felice Duffy based on Attorney Duffy's extensive experience in working with Colleges and Universities. My son ran into several issues at his university including drug charges that jeopardized his ability to stay on campus and could easily have led to his being expelled. The entire team at Duffy Law did a fantastic job in explaining what we needed to do, who we needed to speak with, what information we needed gather, what actions we needed to take and how to go about the entire process. Their strategy was perfect. Their communication with my son and our family (and the school) was always prompt and clear. They were extremely well prepared to deal with the school officials who controlled our son's fate and provided the best defense possible. The end result allowed our son to return to school and live on campus - which thankfully exceeded our highest expectations. On a scale of 1-10- we'd personally give Duffy Law an 11!
