I have been an employee of the criminal justice system for over 11 years. 5 years of that was spent in the City of New Haven. During my time there, I had the pleasure of getting to know dozens, if not hundreds, of attorneys servicing New Haven and the surroundings quite well both in the course of my employment and after hours. There are so many great attorneys in the area I have been fortunate enough to call friends. With all of that being said, 3 years ago when I slipped on black ice and shattered my ankle (in front of my pregnant wife) requiring a plate and 13 screws to fix, I knew right away who to call; it wasn't even a close call. I IMMEDIATELY texted Lou Rubano, who had been my mother's attorney for a car accident a few years prior. He came to my house the day I got home from the hospital and took down all the information needed. Throughout this three-year process (requiring two additional surgeries) I couldn't have asked for more. I could text him or anyone else at his firm (I dealt primarily with him and Alex Guziak) at any time of the day, and he always got back to me within minutes. I never felt that I was just another client and was always treated like family. His knowledge of the law and professionalism are unrivaled. People unfamiliar with the law profession don't truly realize just how many interactions lawyers have on a daily basis, and the usual return time for a call back in my experience was 2-3 days for most firms. NOT WEBER RUBANO; the most I ever waited for a response was maybe an hour. The entire staff, from the Attorneys to the Paralegals and Secretaries, all exude decency and professionalism. And at the end of the day, I could not have been more thrilled with my settlement. Far more than I ever dreamed of, and it's all thanks to Attorney Rubano and his amazing staff. I will only use him for any legal counsel. CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH! 10/10
