I do realize that Mr Nanavity is a public defender and therefore most likely is over-worked with cases in the juvenile system. However, that does not allow for him to basically just be a stick figure in the court room when he is supposed to be 'fighting' for you/your child. He did not keep my child/me current on courtroom proceedings. He would forget what my child's case involved and inturn, was not an accurate support in the courtroom for my child. Sometimes he wouldn't even speak in court with the exception of stating his name for the court/Judge. He spoke and made deals with the probation officer without even speaking to my child/me. I would find out in the courtroom....can anyone say 'too late'? He did not listen he just yelled and put your child down when he actually did speak with you. He is VERY difficult to get in touch with. And equally difficult to deal with. I have many negative incidents I could mention, however, God forbid my child gets into minor trouble and ends up with Mr Nanavity again, I would not want him to be spiteful and try and get back at me through my child. He may be able to tell, or guess, at which client of his this was. Maybe not. If you cannot get a private lawyer, ask for a different public defender, if they have any. Good Luck!!!
