Not to knock my Public Defender, but she had already written me off after a 90 second conversation, and told me I should plead guilty to a deal without asking more than 3 questions. I almost just accepted this, but knew I wasn’t guilty and decided not to be a victim of the system built to protect me.
I first called Decio to ask his opinion on my case, and I immediately felt he was invested in finding out the full details and did not jump to any conclusions. After our brief 10 minute phone discussion, he laid out a few ways he thought the case could go, but offered to meet in person the same day to provide a more in depth assessment. We met at his office, which is very warm and welcoming, and went to a private conference room where for about 30 mins he and I discussed the case, after which he told me how he thought he could best fight the case for me, and that all hope was not lost as the Public Defender had made me feel at my initial hearing. His confidence in me and what I was telling him convinced me he was going to be not only my best chance at a fair outcome, but to deal with someone who looked at me as an individual, not just another case number to get through.
Throughout the case, Decio personally reached out to me at least a dozen times to keep me up to speed, to ask for meetings, info, etc.... I never once had to go looking for him. When he explained something over the phone that I just wasn’t sure or clear about, he always invited me to come meet at the office to work through things, always reassuring.
The longer our relationship grew, the more I could feel him becoming personally attached to my outcome, and it really felt like I had someone on my team who wanted not only the best outcome for the case, but for my life moving forward in general.
If you’re on the fence about whether to hire a private attorney, I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Decio, and am so very certain now making the call to him changed the path my life was headed. With the public defender, I’d be living the rest of my life with a conviction and the stigma and shame for something I wasn’t guilty of. With Decio, NO CONVICTION, CASE DISMISSED! And also, just as important, I don’t feel like a helpless civilian who can be railroaded into guilt, I know that if you have the right help, you can push back!

Beyond grateful for Decio Rangel’s legal help. When I initially called Decio, he was calming, professional, and was able to urgently schedule an appointment to see us. We retained both Decio and Mark for our case.

Brian Burns is quite possibly the best attorney on the planet. I have had numerous tickets across LA and OC for every violation under the sun, including multiple misdemeanors incl. arrests, many many front plate/exhaust fix-it tickets (thanks Irvine PD), a state-ref, unsafe lane change, carpool lane, and a bunch of speeding tickets. Brian Burns has never failed to dismiss even a single one. There is not a single point on my driving record.
Even the state-ref, which I had a failure to appear for, he showed up for me and proved to the judge that I had corrected the violations and they waived all fees including the fail to appear fee. In all cases, he either fought for me vigilantly with the courts on top of knowing the right people for everything.
He has given me super helpful advice as well on stopping myself from getting any more state-ref and exhaust tickets. Brian Burns is single handedly the reason that I can still be a car enthusiast in this lovely state. I recommend him to everyone I know because he's simply the best, and worth it.

If you want an honest lawyer, you found the one! I can't tell you how many lawyers I spoke with, that just tried to scare me about charges.
Jessica absolutely did not try to scare me. She did not try to empty my pockets. She did not put an inch of doubt in my head! She is competent and kind. Here it is a few years later and I still think of Mr. Foy and his staff (family). I was given to Mr. Foy through the court system and it was the best thing that could have happened to me throughout my experience with the law. Mr. Foy always addressed my concerns, gave me valuable advice, he was very empathetic, and always tried to see things from my perspective. I bugged this poor man constantly, because it was my first and only encounter with the law like this. I was worried I was forgot about and that I would just be left to accept whatever the judge gave me. That wasn't the case with Mr.Foy. He and his staff addressed and responded to my calls and emails in a very timely manner and with dignity and compassion. He always made me feel like my case was the only one he had and he was working his hardest to get the outcome I deserved. It turned out in the end that the outcome was amazing and to this day I will always owe it to Mr.Foy and his staff (family) for fighting for me, believing in me and always being there to pick my spirits up when I thought all hope was lost. I live in a southern state, and recently realized I had a legal matter in northeast Oregon, from before meeting my wife of 11 years. I immediately contacted attorneys, and only one office returned my call. It was the office of Brandon Foy, which I had hoped for after reading all the positive reviews.

My hopes are that you’ve taken the time to read my review of Mr. Khawaja. What this man did for my son was way beyond my expectations! I was completely filled with fear after my son was arrested for a felony charge along with a DUI. I’m telling you now, if you or your loved one has been charged with any type of crime this is the lawyer to hire! He got the felony completely dismissed along with no probation, no fine and only a few days in county jail for the DUI. I am being completely honest when I say don’t hire a different attorney, hire this man, he is absolutely amazing at his job and will shock you with his results. I am so grateful to him and want anyone and everyone else in the Houston area to not confuse themselves with the never-ending list of attorneys out there and call his office. I was a student in Houston and unfortunately got charged with misdemeanor theft in July 2014, but didn't find out until I moved back to my hometown in the Atlanta area. As an accounting major, I REFUSED to handle this case without an attorney. I called other attorneys at first, but I honestly didn't feel comfortable hiring them. I'm very picky and definitely wasn't going to just hire any attorney. I came across his profile on Avvo and was impressed because reviews are very important. I was 100% CONFIDENT in hiring Mr. Khawaja. He is very HONEST and kept it 100 with me. As a young African-American lady, Mr. Khawaja truly understands how hard it can be for minorities in society, period. He could tell that I was extemely nervous talking to the judge but was still able to let me know that everything was going to be okay. He was able to get me what I wanted which was for me not to get convicted for my theft charge. If I was to ever get in any legal trouble in Houston again (God forbid), I would definitely hire him, no doubt. He gave me a taste of my own medicine by letting me know that I have an attitude problem and that it needs to be fixed and I appreciate him for that because that means that he really care about his clients. Thank you for saving our boy! He is a great kid with real mental health issues and Mr. Khawaja was just a super professional. Thank you so much Mr. Khawaja. No one wanted to hear us out or let us explain what problems we have been having with our boy but Mr. Khawaja listened and teamed up with our sons doctor to help get my son reinstated on the felony probation he violated 3 separate times after being guaranteed to be revoked with TDC time per our first retained misinformed counsel.
I retained Mr. Khawaja from a recommendation from our priest and he passionately advocated to the judge our position and against all odds the Judge reinstated the probation and amended the conditions of the probation to account for my sons mental health issue. People like my son slip through the cracks and sometimes become felons because of cheap and lazy incompetent lawyers. Mr. Khawaja made me happy to pay his fees and because of him my son will not be a statistic!
Mr. Khawaja showed super attention to detail and his confidence comforted the entire family through this stressful ordeal.

I got hurt when a piece of machinery fell on me at a jobsite in the city. After spending 7 days in the ICU and 3 surgeries over the next year, I was devastated. I called David Hatch's Office with a recommendation, he took 45 minutes to review the details of my case and struck me as incredibly knowledgeable and personable. Maybe it's because he's been or is a judge as well as a attorney for 20+ years. My case was unique in many ways and he found ways to work with those circumstances. I was facing a felony in a County that was known for throwing the book at you, but with a little time and patience my case was dismissed. I retained David Hatch as my attorney when I was charged with Hit and Run Unattended and a DUI. During the legal process David was on top of everything. All discovery was done and each document and the overall plan was explained to me in detail. Communication was great and Susan his paralegal was extremely helpful and supportive. When the final court date arrived David was prepared with a settlement offer he had negotiated with the District Attorney. Without going to trial David was able to have the Hit and run Unattended dismissed, and the DUI reduced to Reckless Driving with no jail time. I highly recommend David Hatch. I was embarassed and ashamed of my dui arrest and Mike made me feel like a real person who had just made a mistake. He was always prompt returning my calls, and emails and was always sincere and I never felt rushed. He guided me with every right step to take to get my very serious situation reduced. It looked pretty bleak there at first but Mike kept giving me hope. I did the work he advised me to do and he basically got me the deal of a lifetime. I got the most lenient sentence I have ever heard of and my charge was reduced to impaired driving. Even when things got a little sticky in my first time DUI case, Mike knows the right things to bring up and knows how to handle what gets thrown at him. I’m impressed by the confidence, composure and knowledgeability. He knows the right people, which is the biggest name of the game because if you don’t, you don’t have a defense. I’m thoroughly content with how he handled my case and if you are in the south sound area I would strongly advise to at least consult with the guy. At a fair price I doubt there are much better options. My only problem was lack of communication within his own office. I wasn’t able to get ahold of him as much as I would’ve liked to (since he’s busy handling business), and it seemed like one of his representatives didn’t have as much experience but Mike still handled it well.

Few months ago I got a reckless driving ticket , I talked five or six lawyers before I decided on Mr.Clingan. it was my first time going to court for anything so I got a free consultation. Mr.Clingan took his time and gave me a very descriptive overview of my legal options , and what he could offer, his rates are very fair, and he doesn’t use fear tactics to get your business. Mr.Clingan is very responsive to texts/calls and he seems like one of the few who genuinely care about their client. I am extremely pleased with his services.
I also agree with the other 5 star reviewers he seems to be the best traffic attorney in the area. I’ll be referring him to any family or friends who end up in a similar situation.

I worked with Tad on my case for a year! He would text me back weekend or not, super friendly. Explained the whole process of everything in a way I could understand what was really going on. I was accused of a crime I truly did not commit and he believed me. Unfortunately we could not prove a phone call conversion in trial we we settled for a plea. Went from 2 major felonies count 2 and a 3. Down to a misdemeanor 1, probation for 2 years that’s it. Great guy enjoyed working with him but hopefully I never see him again unless it’s a run in at the store.

I called Tad just days before my pre-trial hearing and he was nice enough to accommodate me into his busy schedule. He took my concerns very seriously and was very thorough in investigating all the details of my case. He was available at any time of the day when I had a question or concern. His law office is focused on trial, and not just pleading out. If you desire a plea bargain he will work to achieve the outcome you desire, but dont fear if you want to go to trial. He is dedicated and thorough and will work hard to achieve a positive outcome. My case was dismissed, but Tad a solid game plan, with motions for dismissal, and a trial plan if the case was not dismissed prior to trial. I was originally referred to Maureen O'Brien at O'Brien, Thomas and Bibek, LLC law firm by my personal attorney. Maureen was unable to take my case due to illness but she recommended David and he accepted my case.
David provided invaluable professional and discreet assistance in the court room while handling my case. I was charged for the DV injunction. it was the first time I had to go to the court in my life, so everything was not easy for me. I walked into his office and explained him my case. I highly recommend Benjamin Deguire, Family Law Attorney in Flagstaff, AZ. Ben was the top reference I was given through my friends and family who practice Law in Arizona. With that, I was not shocked to learn that Ben was completely booked when I reached out to him last year, but he agreed to meet with me over the phone to assess the complexity of my Divorce case and feel me out as a prospective client. Fortunately, he agreed to take me on. Ben is an expert on Family Law and also very familiar with the Judges’ tendencies, and well connected with the other family law attorneys in town. This positions him to give sound advice on probable outcomes of settling outside of court vs. in trial. Communication is key when you’re navigating something as stressful, complex and high stakes as Divorce. Ben welcomes questions and input. He was able to pull my input into a strategy with my best interest and outcomes in mind. He tackled each category of the divorce decree one at a time, approaching the cleanest, simplest issues first. This set a nice tone for negotiating the more difficult issues later. Ultimately, we were able to settle outside of court through a combination of a Settlement Lite conference and a Judicial Settlement Conference. In June of 2022, I filed for divorce on a Pro Se basis simply because I could not afford an attorney. Mark did an excellent job handling my case. He told me exactly what to do relative to treatment, counseling and other actions to take which would be presented to the court prior to my trial in order to justify having taken responsibility for my offense and minimize the sentence. I always felt I was in good hands and never had a single thought of "Why didn't he do this or that?" Via a Cobbs agreement, I received the minimum 30 day jail sentence, 2 years of probation and 360 hours of community service. Given the potential for extended jail or even prison time, I was very pleased with the outcome and felt Mark's representation was an excellent value relative to the cost.
