Chad R. Lingenfelder, Esq. We dealt with Chad for my parents will and the sale of a portion of farm land. Chad did his job and completed the transactions. However, when it came time to receive our funds we patiently waited over a month. Called Chad asking where the check was. He said he would check into it. After another couple of weeks we called again to find out they (the front office) neglected to go to the post office to sign for our check and we then had to wait another week for it to clear the bank to get the check. It’s almost two months now waiting for a large amount of money. Chad then had the nerve to send my dad a $50 bill for calling the other lawyer asking where the check was. I informed the front office we wouldn’t be paying that particular bill for obvious reasons. Six months later Chad personally calls me and my father asking for the bill to be paid or he’ll send it to collections. He was downright rude and sarcastic in his communication with us. We won’t be using this firm again.

I really enjoy working with them, and look forward to keeping them busy. If you need good legal advice, these are the guys to turn to.

I’m assuming this firm is solely profit based. I attempted to get a legal view on an idea I have to help with the homeless crisis in Seaford, DE. The first person I spoke with seemed receptive and took notes. It seemed promising that a lawyer would call me back, but they had someone call me back and tell me plain and simple that they were not gonna help me and hung up. I think there is a sense of community and responsibility a law firm should have in the town they serve; I didn’t get that from them.

I retained Derek Gay Esq. to help me resolve a "handful" of traffic tickets and within a few short days he had a plea agreement in hand from the prosecutor dropping multiple charges and reducing the many tickets down to only 2 points and a $100 fine. Thru his experience with the prosecutors office, Derek has gained valuable knowledge as to the interests and goals of the prosecution which will clearly be a great asset in his work as a defense attorney. I would certainly recommend Derek Gay to anyone in need of a "go-getter" defense attorney.
