I would like to share one of my great experience working with my co-workers at Register of Wills. We are a team that work together by looking out for each other concerns or needs. Of this, I would like to openly address one person, Kelly Spiess...I had experienced the loss of my job badge which is needed to use the office copier machine. So I've asked to borrow Kelly's badge from time to time, in which she never complained or said no. But I would like to express how she even thought of me, when going on her vacation, and left her badge for me to use while she was gone. Now, even on her days off, she has remembered to leave her badge for me. Kelly you are THE BEST and I thank you very much for thinking of me. I have a new badge now and if ever you and anyone of ROW needs to use... it will be available. God bless

I cannot say enough about how helpful the staff of this office is. I just got done with an estate matter and David Martinez was assigned the file. Dave was a great communicator and walked me through every step I needed to take. He made seemingly complicated processes…. easy.

If I could give 10 stars to NCC Register of Wills Deputy Elizabeth Wilford, I would! To Liz’s boss: You have an amazing gift and asset in Elizabeth Wilford! She is compassionate, empathetic, knowledgeable, informative, and professional. I don’t know what she is paid but, whatever it is, it's not nearly enough! I have never been treated so kindly by anyone who deals with the public. She is exceptional. I was completely overwhelmed when faced with the daunting task of having to probate two estates, made even more difficult by a global pandemic. My mind was set at ease to some degree in my very first communication with Liz. She spelled out for me in painstaking detail every step required in this seemingly unending process. She patiently allowed me to take notes and never got frustrated by my myriad of questions and nonstop phone calls and emails. She “held my hand” throughout an agonizing time and was always sincere in her offer to help. I imagine a deputy’s job is not a piece of cake, dealing mostly with people who are completely overwrought. My situation was particularly challenging, but her kind and caring support and calm and professional guidance helped me get through a most painful time in my life. Liz, I am so grateful for all your help. You went above and beyond, and I sincerely appreciate you! Much respect!

My concerns starting my fathers estate were numerous. However as soon as I started communicating with Officer Wilford at the Register of Wills they all but vanished. Officer Wilford was courteous and supportive throughout the whole process. I have said this many times to her and here is one more. Thank You.

I had a tremendous experience with Andrea Smith at the Register of Wills. She assisted my family in handling some complicated issues and making sure we took the correct steps to properly open the estate. She spent an hour with us, demonstrating endless patience, and answering every question we had and ones we didn't realize we had. Delaware residents are very fortunate to have Andrea working in the Register of Wills. She's a tremendous asset and reduced the stress my family was experiencing immeasurably. I am a resident of New Mexico that needed documents from the Register of Wills regarding an estate. It was a complex situation. David Martinez went far beyond the call of duty to coach me through the process. Bravo and applause and a big thank you. We need more David Martinez's in this world!

Life is a mess these days. I have been going through "hell" and back with my personal stuff. The same personal stuff you (we) go thru everyday! But ,through strife comes kindness. And that has been my experience with the staff at Register of Wills office. Gina, Andre...& many more. KINDNESS, is easy. Showing it is difficult. We received courteous and detailed instructions during the probate process for an estate which, though not large, was complicated. Our contact with Liz Wilford was exceedingly helpful: a very knowledgeable and articulate guide. We are highly appreciative.

Good Morning Gina, We wanted to personally let you know that Traci L Henn was so helpful when we visited Register of Wills Office the end of February (twice). She went above and beyond to make sure we understood everything that was needed to request, secure and complete the proper documentation needed for my husband’s aunt who passed in late December. She was a delight to work with, answering questions and assisting us through the process to attain a “Small Estate Affidavit” and “Registering the Will”. It can be very confusing, but Traci made it easy, with her approach and follow through.
