I had a great experience with the Register of Wills department. Mr. Martinez was so polite and very helpful throughout the entire probate process. I didn’t know what to expect having to go through this process for the first time and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. Friendly and informative customer service. Quick responses to emails and someone will return your voicemails if they do not answer when you call. It’s a difficult situation already when you lose a loved one, so I’m so grateful everyone I’ve encountered here was so kind and understanding.

I had very positive experience in dealing with the Registrar of Wills in New Castle County. They were extremely helpful and informative. It was especially trying given the Covid stituation compounded by the weather.
Everyone I dealt with was professional and genuinely wanted to help.
Gina was especially helpful allowing me to pick up items in the lobby because I was traveling 2 hours for the documents.

My father passed unexpectedly and I was struggling with this paperwork. I was directed to the management team and they went above and beyond to help me complete the forms as I needed and went through it line by line. I can not express how wonderful Gina cook and alex(?) were during such a stressful time. Not being able to go in office, due to covid didn’t delay the process at all. They assured me a quick turnaround time and did everything in their power to help me. They were an absolute pleasure to deal with.

These people are totally unresponsive, Opening an estate here was a major PITA I had to go back multiple times due to them giving me the wrong information about their own processes. Now I can't even close the estate I opened because the person working on my case has been out "unexpectedly" and they are "incredibly backed up"

Unbelievably unhelpful!! The person “helping us” open the estate didn’t want to answer any of our questions, just kept telling us to “read the will”. I’ve never had to deal with opening an estate before and don’t think my questions were that unusual! She did not explain the process, just had us sign some forms and pay the money. We were treated so disrespectfully, I dread the thought of ever dealing with them again.
