Many moons ago, while still in the throes of a virulent addiction to cocaine, and on parole, I was charged
with possession of the same. Even though I had volunteered the illicit substance to the policeman,
Abraham Blitzer urged and counselled me to take it to trial. After prosecutorial continuances, on the day of trial I noticed that my name appeared twice on the court docket. When the Judge called my case,
the prosecutor pulled the other Stephen Palmer's file out of the basket. She requested yet another continuance. My lawyer, Abraham Blitzer, jumped from his seat and objected with: "Your Honor,
move to dismiss for lack of prosecution!" The Judge said: "Case dismissed", and pounded his gavel.
