Attorney Leah Durant and her team were a God send. I was not even aware the SIRVA program existed. All I knew was I was in significant pain since the moment I received my flu shot at a large grocery chain pharmacy early on New Years Eve. As time went on the pain intensified to the point of impacting my ability to work. I was despondent. I did a google search on shoulder pain from shot to see if there was a recommended treatment. The next day started a 3 year battle with frozen shoulder and pain that continues today, all from a simple flu shot. Patience is a virtue! When we first contacted Ms. Leah Durant she mentioned that SIRVA cases can take over four years. This seemed like a very very long time. As it turned out my case took 4 1/2 years. But, through the knowledge and guidance of her law firm my compensation was one of the highest ever received. The Government is in no hurry to settle these claims and delays can be frustrating as costs for surgery, rehab and pain mitigation mount. Accepting a Government offer would have resulted in a loss of compensation of approximately 30%.
