My son was arrested on April 1, 2023. Yes, April Fools Day for having his gun in his possession in the District of Columbia. Although, the gun was in the trunk in a locked bag, it was not registered in the District. My son was pulled over for dark tint, and when the police asked if he had any weapons in the vehicle, thinking he was safe and doing the right thing, he responded yes. My son’s car was searched and he was arrested for having an unregistered gun in his possession. This was a Saturday night. We knew his chances of getting out before Monday were impossible. We frantically searched for a lawyer that we could talk to that night just to give us advice so we would know what to do on Monday. After, talking to numerous lawyers, who wanted a 10k retainer fee up front, we finally found Attorney Kibria late Sunday night and I mean late. At first we got his answering service but he called us back right away. He explained he was having dinner with his family but he would call us back within 30 minutes and he did. We retained his services that night and he became a part of our family just like that. He consoled us when we needed consoling. He gave advice when we needed it. He made phone calls, did research, kept us informed, and kept the details of the case straight even when it seemed it was going left. My family couldn’t have asked for better representation.
