Highly recommend. Shawn and his firm do great work. Thankful that I spend a few extra dollars to be in good hands. When faced with an un-expected legal situation, Shawn has been a god-send -incredible at the navigating difficult water that I found myself in. Shawn is very personable, professional, experienced in practice, and available when you need him too be. The legal process is difficult terrain that Shawn knows how to navigate, and does so very well. He has connections, and gets work done efficiently. He recalls previous conversations, interactions, notes, etc … this is very useful when a case lasts for months on end (until resolve). Even after paying Shawn (and his team for services) my case continued on, and I NEVER felt that Shawn let up on the efforts of his services. This is a HUGE teller & witness of character. Shawn got the job done, even AFTER many months after he had gotten paid for he legal services in my case. Other lawyers would have retrieved their efforts after receiving their paycheck. Shawn was different - the job wasn’t done until it was done! I never expect to be in trouble again, but I know that I have a go-to legal representative moving forward - Shawn is saved in my contacts, and I will recommend him to anyone in need of legal services. All in all, Shawn got me the BEST case scenario that I could have asked for (… actually exactly what I asked Shawn to help me achieve with all of his legal might) Highly recommend. Cannot recommend Shawn highly enough. Motivated, articulate, and knowledgeable. No matter if it was 6am or 11pm, if I wrote Mr. Sukumar an email he got back to me promptly and was able to help me understand every step of the way what to expect in court and what our options were. It definitely minimized the stress of going through the legal system that can be so intimidating. There was never a single time I needed help with an aspect of our case he was unable to help me with. If you need a DC criminal lawyer, please do yourself a favor and consider Mr. Sukumar.

I don't even know where to begin! Shawn is AWESOME! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I was on a probation violation for a year. With Shawn's amazing knowledge, professionalism, and patients I kept getting a continuous until I was in compliance and it worked in my favor. I have been dismissed of all 6 of my violations. The best defense attorney in the Washington, DC area! Confident, persistent, responsive, and the list goes on. If I'm ever in any trouble I know exactly who to call and who to recommend!
