I had a SOR that I was shocked to receive. I submitted my own response at first, but doubted its adequacy since I had no experience with how a comprehensive response should be written. National Security Law Firm’s team put together a great response and got mine replaced with theirs which eventually resulted in the case being withdrawn by the government. It was evident from the first call they knew what territory my case was in and what was possible. Team was highly professional and efficient. I highly recommend them for related matters.

Alex Carr and his team of professionals accomplished what I thought was impossible. My case was special and heavily televised among the world leaving me hopeless to receive approval for my TWIC. I was faced with a serious issue, my clearance. I have accomplished a lot in my life but knew this was way out of my league. I called National Security Law Firm and within a few hours, I was talking to one of the lawyers - they began to help me. I had to complete a few forms, and submit many personal documents. They alerted me upfront, if I do my part, they could easily do their part. Everyone, If you’re reading this review, then it means you’re looking for a competent legal team that wins and inspires confidence. Like yourself, I remember the gut-wrenching feeling I experienced when I was denied a second time for my secret clearance (I applied in 2011 & 2017). However, my site security manager told me about another coworker’s case, which was similar to my situation, in which he got a lawyer and won his appeals case a year later. Therefore, on my third attempt in 2022, I reapplied for my clearance, but this time I did so with representation from the National Security Law Firm and won! Now, before I go any further, the full disclosure is that I was dismissed from active duty in 2008 for a DV charge (misdemeanor spousal battery); in which I lost my top-secret security clearance, I lost my wife, I lost my self-respect, and I lost fifteen years of active-duty service all over a two-minute domestic dispute about infidelity. You can only imagine how my pride took a hit; however, as a former U.S. Marine, I had to adapt to the situation and pulled myself up by the bootstraps to overcome my dilemma. Therefore, fourteen years later in my new career as a defense contractor, I decided to retain counsel with the National Security Law Firm and fight like hell; hence, upon meeting with Brett O’Brien and Luke Rose to discuss my case, they assured me of one thing, they said that we can’t guarantee victory but we can guarantee you that your odds of winning are more favorable with us handling your case. Therefore, in my fairest opinion, I believe that the National Security Law Firm is the right legal team for the job. This is why I wrote such an enthusiastic review and offered you as much detail about my legal situation, because I know what it feels like to get denied and treated like the sum of my parts. In the end, you must think like an optimist; I hope that my success story can be followed up by someone like yourself to never give up and to never quit. At the end of the day, the one question you must ask yourself, “If I’m reading this review, then it means that I need help, so what is the worst-case scenario that could happen to me by having an experienced law firm to represent me in my appeals case?”

I had an issue with my security clearance investigation that began in Feb 2020. After being overwhelmed trying to address it on my own, with the added complications of Covid's impacts, I engaged NSL in March of 2021. Trying to work within a complicated and specialized framework with respect to clearances, with organizations that have unlimited resources and are not necessarily your advocate, went from feeling incredibly intimidating (pretty much hopeless) to manageable after one conversation with Brett. NSL's fee schedule is reasonable and manageable. All of the NSL staff are incredible to work with (Carl, Yolande, Brett, Alicia)... from their expertise, measured and thorough approach, work ethic... I can't think of even a slightly negative thing to say to make this review feel more balanced... but that is how it was for me. The NSL team worked with me for 2 years as my case moved through the machinery ultimately to a hearing, and I just received word that my I won my case and my clearance is safe. From what I understand cases don't typically go to hearings unless the govt feels they will win, so from my perspective NSL worked magic in the form of a thorough and overwhelmingly compelling argument, presenting the facts in a manner that made it easy for the court to see "the whole person/picture". Had I lost the case, I would still feel the same about NSL's work, they couldn't have handled things better. I hope I never need NSLs services again :), but if I ever have any questions or issues with a clearance situation, I won't even consider another law firm. I would also recommend NSL to friends & coworkers without hesitation!
