I was initially referred to Hassan by his former colleagues at the firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. I had been apprehensive about moving forward with a lawsuit, as I was presently under much stress and lacked the time or energy to become embroiled in protracted, combative litigation. However, after several meetings with Hassan, I began to feel more confident about my case, and very comfortable with Hassan taking the lead. As we developed our legal strategy and prepared for mediation, Hassan involved me in every aspect of the matter, keeping me apprised of each detail in a timely manner. He was willing to use every resource at his disposal to further strengthen our position. Perhaps most significantly, however, he listened to and valued my opinions, concerns and thoughts. I felt that we were very much working as a team, making decisions together. During our mediation with the defendants, Hassan was persuasive, aggressive and creative, often resorting to non-legal arguments. Shortly thereafter, we settled the matter for a sum much larger than I ever would have anticipated. We did so without ever having to file a complaint, thereby avoiding the drudgery of litigation.
