When my partner and I realized we were going to have to hire an attorney for our family court case it was very important to us that we find one with empathy, kindness, and a passion for protecting children from the worst impulses of a high-conflict ex. We searched high and low, took multiple introductory calls with several attorneys, but when we discovered Attorney Karyn Washington we instantly felt at home. Through the entire process, Karyn was there to take our calls, to strategize with us, to comfort us, and to help us understand the often unfair and unjust nature of family court with wisdom and empathy. When my ex hired a ghoul of an attorney who fit every bad lawyer stereotype, Karyn was there to do battle with him, a petite yet powerful woman standing toe-to-toe with one of those men who obviously don’t think women should practice law. Exceptional Lawyer !!!!
I spent a week consulting lawyers about our case, they all needed to do research before agreeing to take the case.
I emailed Mrs. Donna Medina at 1:15 a.m. on a Sunday morning regarding our urgent case, she called me back at 3:30 am and gave instructions on how to proceed. That Monday, Donna stepped into a highly complicated case and showed exceptional legal prowess. The instructions from the 1st session wound up being pivotal to the case being resolved in our favor. She guided us through a complicated process taking over 2 years and four courts to resolve. She managed the technical/legal process while acting as a counselor to help keep our emotions intact. She kept the 'Family' in family law. No call, email or text went unanswered, she was extremely responsive. Donna’s experience, professionalism and attention to detail stood out as our case moved all the way to the State Supreme Court for rulings. We watched as Mrs. Medina respectfully coached multiple judges on the law/court procedures because our case was so unique. One day after court, I told my wife "it’s like watching Micheal Jordon in the court room". Retaining Donna was a slam dunk for our family! I honestly don’t even know where to start with this review. Donna Medina is one of the best people I have ever met. I had an extremely complicated child custody case, and she handled it SO perfectly. She truly cares about me and my girls. She was there for me emotionally and always made me feel like I was her only case , even though I knew how busy she was. She was always so professional, handled everything with such a great attitude. And let me tell you, it was not easy dealing with what we were dealing with. Nicole, in the midst of being married, going on her honeymoon and I’m sure other stresses, she fought for me to have a solid shared parenting plan for a father without a perfect past.

I'm a father to two of the most perfect kids in the world! Going to court in ILLINOIS fighting for time with my childeren I've only ever heard horror stories. I thank God everyday for the choice in lawyers i made. Joel not only made me feel confident the entire time, but was more than well respected in the halls of the courtroom let alone in the courtroom. Its my understanding hes been doing this a long time and you can sure tell just by walking with him in the hallway. The respect shown to him and the respect he shows to others. Second to NONE. I felt like i was walking around with a celebrity. But anyone can make friends and have respect shown to them. The true tell was when court took place and ended. I got not only the time i wished for with my childeren but so much more that i didnt even think to ask about. Such as being involved in the schoolong,religion, and all around decision making.

Eddie went above and beyond any expectations I had for a lawyer. I hired Eddie after a bad experience with my previous representation during this same case. My custody case had already been ongoing for almost a year by the time I found Edward. After I had my initial consult with him, I knew he would fight for my children and I, and without a single doubt- and he did. He won my custody case for me!!! I could tell he was not just here to take every penny I had, he has integrity and prides himself with his services. Eddie let me do a lot of the tedious work throughout my case, saving me a significant amount of money. His communication and response time is immaculate- you would never know you were not his only client. He never made me feel like my questions or concerns were a burden or unimportant. Edward represented me through two, eight hour days at trial. He encouraged me on breaks throughout my testimony and cross-examination, which was reassuring when I had no idea what to expect. As I reflect on my life and all the trial and tribulations that my family and I endured, there has been one constant staple and that is Mr. Lawrence Baker. I have no words for how amazing Stephanie is! If you are looking for someone who will get the job done, Stephanie is who you want on your team. Stephanie advocated for our family and our children. She listened to us, and I mean really listened to us. We ended up with the best case scenario in our court case after years of work and documentation.
