We have a crazy neighbor who thought it would be good idea to file a restraining order against us because she just didn’t like us. It was really scary to have someone that crazy seeking legal action against us, and I’ve never been to court in my entire life.
Andrea handled this complex and emotionally charged case with grace and intelligence and calm. She reassured us and kept us calm as she prepared us.
We ultimately had the request for restraining orders dismissed AND she prevailed in a motion to have our attorney fees paid by the crazy neighbor.
From a legal perspective, we could not have asked for a better outcome! Would I hire her again? 100%! We are so grateful for her and for her being so well prepared.

Alan was a great asset to have during my long, drawn-out, and frustrating divorce; he's the attorney I needed in my corner and I enjoyed working with him. Autumn helped me through a high anxiety divorce from a narcissistic ex husband. She has a very personable approach; I felt heard and supported the entire process. She keeps it very real; fights like a bulldog but also let me know when I needed to reign it in; she was very down to earth on what the judge would and wouldn’t like for the best outcome. Over that entire time Jim was always smart, tenacious, experienced, a great listener, and (most importantly) caring. A lot of road blocks popped up over the life of my case. Jim figured out a way over, around or through each one. Jim's deep contacts at the agency, and the credibility he has built up over his many years representing clients before the VMRC, turned out to be a resource that was very helpful in getting my case resolved in highly favorable terms. I had a very challenging case in so many ways from start to finish. It was never a dull moment!
Erica and her team of Caitlin and Dona absolutely saved me in so many ways. I was awarded 78% custody of my kids in the end, and a very fair financial settlement which is saying a lot in the State of WA. My case was a roller coaster that many would say only happens in nightmares, but the team was able to deliver a very prompt and professional approach to the case and also keep my mental state in check. Erica and her team have been nothing short of phenomenal!!! I tried taking my child's mother to court 3 times after she kidnapped her and was unsuccessful because I had no idea how to properly navigate the court systems before I finally bit the bullet and looked into hiring an attorney. I called 3 different firms when I started my search for a good legal team. The first didn't answer nor call me back, the second firm was really dry and short with me during my initial phone call like they didn't seem to care about what I was saying just throwing price quotes in my face, so I hung up on them and then I contacted Knauf Santos law. From the initial intake phone call her office was so empathetic, so inviting, so kind and they seemed so eager to know more and try to help me! They stood out from all the other firms so I had a great feeling about them and after having my consultation 2 days after the intake phone call I knew they were the firm for me. Erica was so personable, so empathetic, so knowledgeable and so strategic! Erica brought it to my attention at the intake that I had enough evidence to not only have my ex held in contempt but also other things AND I could even get more residential time with my child than what I was initially given in my initial parenting plan (which I always dreamed of) but I had no idea!
The fight was long, this custody battle has been hard, 2 years ago I started out with a 4 hour visit a week (super unfair) and now 2 years later with the help of Erica, Dona and their fabulous team I now have full custody of my daughter and I'm so grateful because I couldn't have done any of this without them. Not because it wasn't possible but because I was so lost without them and they have so much knowledge and access to things I had no idea of! They've helped me in so many ways! Since hiring them we have been undefeated in court.
Things got tough dealing with my case, they continued to stand by me and help guide me during this process and were so punctual, I remember one day I emailed Dona (Paralegal) and was like wait you guys that thing was due 2 days ago what do we do now?!!!! Dona responded, we already had that taken care of don't worry. :) They have been so on top of things and handling all the all the footwork and making things clear for me and prompting me to do things correctly, they made this horrible experience as breezy and smooth sailing for as they possibly could, I tell ya! I paid a lot of money out of pocket to cover expenses but it was worth every. single. penny. I would do it all over again. I tell anyone I know or run into about these guys! Dona and Erica are angels, I feel like I owe them so much more than what I have to give for all they've done for me and my family during the hardest time in our life. I hope God continues to bless them in life and everything that they do.

Family court is rarely a “good” experience. But even in the bad experiences, having Don to fight for you and your kids makes the bad times feel less heavy. He doesn’t fill your head with promises and is very honest about what can be done. He communicates with you about all possible outcomes and genuinely listens to your worries and makes sure you understand what is happening. SO thankful for everything you’ve done Don! My only regret is not finding him sooner.

I hired Stacy last minute when I thought i had lost hope. My last attorney was not looking at my best interest and had been led by my ex's attorney. I was not happy with the outcome and consulted with a few other attorneys but they did not seem to care and didnt look thoroughly thru my case. David is very knowledgeable and nice. We had a customer who had conflicts with the available closing dates, and the only date that they are free to sign the closing document was on a Saturday. I felt very rude to try to ask David if he could accommodate, because I am afraid none of the escrow officer would like to work on their weekend, but David did. He is actually the one who values the customer service like me and will be willing to do everything to close the deal and make the deal done. My customers also gave me feedbacks that he was very nice and gave clear instructions to them for them to prepare for a smooth, easy, and punctual closing. Highly recommend!

I am so glad to have had Laura Thudium as an attorney as I entered the collaborative approach to a dissolution. She brought a network of professionals who have a depth of expertise to deal with the intricacies of sorting the end of a marriage. We were assisted by a financial advisor, a home loan facilitator, a pension fund expert, and a loan company versed in dissolution financing.
The legalities of a dissolution are deep and baffling. Laura was in constant contact while we worked through the process. I've known Laura since law school, and I refer my friends and family to her because she knows family law (particularly divorces and child custody) so well. She won an award in law school for doing the best of anyone on the family law exam. She has a thick skin and doesn't letter anything phase her in the courtroom, which is really what you need in a lawyer.

Mr. Sawin helped me during a particularly stressful time when my divorce agreement and child support were being modified. He was very straightforward and responsive. I had interviewed several lawyers before I picked her as my lawyer. She was the only one who called me back directly. The other lawyers had their secretary called me instead. She also had a novel approach to my divorce. Unfortunately, it didn't pan out. Throughout the case, she represented me even when she had to taged out of my case due to personal issue, she still helped me find a new lawyer. Her price was the most reasonable out of all the lawyers I talked to. She is not the type of lawyer who is trying to squeeze as much money out of you. She is very caring. Even though my case didn't come out as I would like, I would strongly recommend her as your personal lawyer.

Michael Watters and his team are highly skilled and experienced in navigating the complexities of divorce. Not only did he skillfully navigate the legal system and advocate for my financial needs, he understood the importance of equalizing finances between households so that I can really show up for my children. He clearly has seen it all before, understands dysfunctional family dynamics and anticipated what my family needed when I was not able to advocate for myself. Michael got a court order to begin paying child support and alimony when my ex had stopped; he called for a financial deposition to reveal the money that my ex had been trying to hide and could not be revealed in a simple tax return, he got my ex to pay money to me for the house that we had acquired while we were married and then had pressurized me into getting my name off of the title as I was leaving the house before we were legally separated, and he was able to get most all of my legal fees to be paid by my ex as he had the ability to do so. I am so grateful for Michael and his team's work on my behalf. Mr. Waters is not only an exceptionally knowledgable Divorce Lawyer but a highly experienced litigator which is critical should your divorce reach the courts. I was terminated by my employer and I thought I had a case. I was either ignored or turned away because of "conflicts of interest."
