Dave resolved a problem I was having with the State Board of Accountancy. I called him the first time on the Friday before Christmas (Dec. 23). He was very helpful and easy to work with. He contacted the attorney for the State Board on my behalf and he kept me apprised of the status of my case. I would recommend him to anyone who needs representation before the State Board of Accountancy.

Dave took care of my expungement today. I contacted him 3 years ago when the situation took place. He told me everything I needed to do in order to make sure my expungement was successful. This was 3 years before I hired him! He wasn't even my attorney yet but took the time to make sure I was taken care of. He was always responsive, answer every question I had in detail. He was always on time and just very pleasant to talk to. If you need an attorney for anything Dave is the one for you to call you will not be disappointed. I am extremely satisfied with his service, if I ever need help with anything in the future he will be the one I will be calling.

In June of 2022, I filed for divorce on a Pro Se basis simply because I could not afford an attorney. After a year of handling everything on my own I knew I couldn't go any further because my Ex-husband was manipulating, lying and coming against me to get Alimony. Gilbert (Joey) goes past being an excellent lawyer and is a great human being as well. He very clearly explained his thoughts and plan for the situation from the beginning and as it evolved. On top of this, he consistently demonstrated his compassion for myself, and made it clear he truly cared about the best outcome for me and not for himself. Steve is an outstanding litigator. If you're lucky, you get a lawyer who is a sharp researcher and can identify the right cases and precedents; or you get someone who is really good at bringing together evidence and presenting a strong written case to the judge. Or you get someone who is good on their feet in the courtroom, quick and smart in presenting your case but also in responding to opposing arguments and judge's questions. Steve is brilliant at all three: research, writing, and speaking. He is truly a triple threat. He kept us informed throughout and was good at answering questions (via email or in meetings) with us. Oh, and he won the case.

Could not be happier with Berry Law Firm. I kept getting denied claims or receiving percentages I felt weren’t right, and decided to use a law firm to help. The first couple of ones I tried wanted nothing to do with the cases and wouldn’t even listen to me about my disabilities as they weren’t interested in those types of cases. Chris recently helped me with a legal issue outside his normal area of practice and did an excellent job. He was upfront early about what to expect, timeline, and what he needed from me to get a favorable result. I retained Mike and Rebecca to represent me in what even the presiding judge admitted was one of the most complex cases he'd ever seen. Basically, my ex spouse manufactured allegations against me which she used to remove our minor children from the Commonwealth to return to her home state without my knowledge or consent. I had to fight tooth and nail to try and clear my name and get my kids back. Well, Mike and Rebecca did just that. They met every legal challenge professionally and with decisions that were in the best interest of the children. The result is that ALL of the children have been returned home to Virginia with me having primary custody AND I retained ALL of my assets. Note: I am also a lawyer who knows great legal work...this is such a case. The best interest of the child(ren) is THE standard.

There is not enough space to say how thankful I am for Todd Ess. As a physician going in front of the medical licensing board, he helped me get the best possible outcome. He broke down the issues and we worked through them slowly. I know he is busy, but he took the time and effort which made me feel like I was his only client. Although getting divorced was bad enough I could have lost my who career as well. I was in a horrible head on collision two years ago after someone ran a red light.. I thought I was ok at first but then a week later I was having knee problems. A friend suggested I get an injury lawyer in case medical bills get expensive. Heather Campbell and Chris Dugan on the first meeting I found they care about me and my family’s future above just getting another client. They were filled with compassion so I knew they were going to help me the way I needed. After two years of countless medical bills with knee surgery to X-rays to MRIs, and endless follow up visits with specialists, Heather and her team kept every bill organized to make sure I did not have to pay for them. At the end of two years they got me every dollar that was available and the cherry on top was they knew the law so well that health insurance couldn’t come after me after the settlement. My family of 5 is forever grateful to Heather and Chris as there were times where I couldn’t work and was so worried if we couldn’t recover it but they got me all my missed pay and more. Now after everything is over I made some trusted good friends vs just a service I used. If you want professionals that know the law in and out and is always going to be on your corner, I wouldn’t choose anyone but Dugan & Campbell.

Truthfully, I don't know where I'd be without Chris and Heather. Navigating an injury is hard enough on its own, but dealing with the legalities around it can be debilitating - these two made sure it was anything but that for me. I am so grateful I was able to focus on my health and recovery while they handled my case. Their perseverance in making sure I got what I deserved is unmatched - they left no stone unturned and kept me updated along every point of the way. I hope to never have to deal with something like this again, but I'm comforted knowing I have these two to rely on should I need it!

First of all, I want to thank Mr. Napolitana for restoring faith in my belief in the legal system. I spent the past 35 yrs dealing with the adverse and traumatic effects of having an Other than Honorable Discharge for an unfortunate decision I made when I was 22 yrs old. I knew that there was something special about Mr. Napolitana from the moment we spoke. His empathy and compassion towards my living with a “bad paper” discharge gave me the hope that empowered me to work with him in seeking out an upgrade of my discharge and a correction of what we both perceived to be an injustice. Although COVID 19 slowed down the legal process, Mr. Napolitana and his team forged ahead in keeping me informed as to the continuing preparation of my case that would be presented to the military board. Mr. Napolitana was never detected not discouraged regarding my previous two submissions for upgrades by other firms and assured me that they would do everything they could to be able to give me the best opportunity to have my discharge upgraded, if not to Honorable then General under Honorable Conditions. After 2 and half years of working with me in helping me navigate putting together all the necessary documents historical and current (character letters, work history, educational accomplishments, community and faith based), I was excited and overwhelmed to find out just days ago thet my discharge was administratively upgraded to General under Honorable Conditions. The emotions that I experienced and the tears that flow were a culmination of 35 yrs of being defined by a discharge that could have otherwise been resolved amicably upon my original dos barge 35 yrs ago. I am so grateful to Mr. Napolitana for all the hard and exhausting hours that he and his team spent on my case and my family and I will forever be grateful to him for giving me an opportunity to have my military discharge match the person of character and achievements that I have attained in the past 35 yrs. Two other times my upgrade request were denied by submissions by others…. Mr. Napolitana was able to get done what I thought to be the impossible. Thank you sir for your service in and outside of the military. You have changed my life!!!

Marc represented me during the 2+ year appeal process fighting to have the denial of my security clearance application overturned. Although this process is known to be inherently long, stressful and difficult to navigate, Marc’s representation and guidance throughout it all made it less daunting. There was not one instance where my emails and phone calls were left unanswered, or concerns not addressed. Marc is without a doubt the reason I was ultimately successful. His expertise was apparent from the start and without his guidance I would not currently hold a security clearance.

After years of not getting anywhere with another lawyer. I spoke with McKenzie, and he assured we would get past points of friction regarding my divorce. McKenzie called me and asked me what I was trying to do or what I needed to settle. He was very thorough and precise in his questions towards, and he seemed genuine and empathetic told him we had been separated for 3 years and I did not want anything except to be divorced. After much push back from the opposing counsel, McKenzie fought for me and ensured I didn’t give anything else up. When the MSA was received it was exactly what I needed and wanted to move forward with the divorce. In just a matter of time, I had my final MSA and my divorce was finalized. I spent money on an attorney prior and she never fought for me or asked what I needed. Every time I asked, she told me that we would talk after, and we never did. McKenzie on the other hand was extremely transparent and notified me right away about the negotiation process with opposing counsel. He showed me what a lawyer should do for a client, and I will definitely be recommending him to people in need of a lawyer. Sergio

I needed help with my custody situation and Mr. Clark was helpful and on point every step of the way. McKenzie Clark is a fantastic lawyer. I have a high conflict ex and Mr. Clark took the time to explain everything that happened or going to happen in a timely manner. He even went above and beyond to check in to see that no problems had occurred throughout the whole process. From day one Mr. Hill and his staff made me feel that I was not just a number, but a person they could help. The professionalism that he and his staff showed was beyond excellent. They made it a point to keep me updated so I always knew what the status was at all times. It did take several years to finish my case, but it was not the fault of Mr. Hill or of his staff. I would get copies of emails sent to VA saying that their response is past the required reply date, which showed me he was always on top of everything. Mr. Hill even went so far as to call me (email not available) when I was in CA to make sure I was informed of the status of my case. Because of him and his staffs professionalism, and their attitudes I have recommended them to numerous veterans that I have met who thought they were at a dead-end and were not getting any real knowledgeable help. I will end on this note: Mr. Hill and his staff were friendly, helpful, very professional, and I have & will continue to talk about them in a positive manner with a very high recommendation.
