Let's face facts...No matter what type of relationship you have with your spouse (good, bad, ugly), going through a divorce is a very painful process (especially in NY). Kara represented me (I'm a man) and was incredibly professional and helped me understand the process which unfortunately, is not easy and does not favor those who are getting a divorce (the NY courts are a mess). There are many emotions, questions and decisions (especially if you have kids), but Kara has the ability to walk you through various scenarios and help you get comfortable with what life will look like once you are officially divorced. She can be very tough when she needs to be, but does not believe in dragging this process on and on while the meter is running. She also has a great team around her so you will be in good hands. I highly recommend Kara and wish you the best of luck.

My brother and I had to navigate an extremely challenging divorce and child custody battle. We knew it was going to be a long, hard, and expensive journey because we had tried a collaborative divorce process that failed. Communications between the parties had completely broken down. It was an emotionally-charged situation where the mother was withholding the child. We were at our wits end and had no choice but to pursue litigation that took 2.5 years.

Donne Colton was referred to me by a therapist who provides court testimony regarding the welfare of children in divorce cases. I sought the therapist's attorney recommendations because I wanted an attorney who had earned a stellar reputation for negotiating and writing divorce and custody agreements in the best interest of children, and I got that and much more when I hired Donne to represent me in my contested divorce in 2015-2016. My custody case was extremely complicated and contentious, and Donne did an outstanding job of navigating me through it.
I worked with him and with his excellent paralegal, Margie Madsen, for a solid year. When I was researching attorneys and collecting recommendations, a high-powered attorney connected to a family member of mine sent her an email saying that his divorce attorney "was the best thing about my divorce." I would wholeheartedly say this about Donne and Margie. The divorce was the most difficult, frightening, and stressful experience of my life, and I was continually grateful and glad to have Donne and Margie expertly guiding me through it.
Donne has a great deal of personal and professional integrity. He was everything I wanted in an attorney--he's knowledgeable, an excellent negotiator, very good with the myriad details that divorce entails, always accessible, a terrific writer (he wrote all of the agreements for my divorce), and he represented me very well, in court, in documents, in emails, and in phone calls with my ex-husband's attorney.
He's honest, ethical, easy to talk to, trustworthy, fair, and extremely hardworking. He worked through the night (and into the wee hours) when necessary when we got down to the wire negotiating my custody and property settlements with my ex-husband's attorney, and achieved excellent agreements that enabled my ex-husband and I to settle both matters out of court, without having to leave them up to a trial judge.
These same agreements have helped me navigate challenges I've had with my ex-husband in the many months since our divorce was finalized. The agreements provide a solid foundation for me to refer to, and excellent boundaries for us to live within.
I honestly can't think of any area in which Donne fell short of my needs or expectations. I feel very fortunate that he was able to take my case, as I could not imagine having had a better attorney to work with.

Noah took on a very very complex case of mine. We went threw order of protection to settlement or attempt there of out of court. Noah was there to help keep me in check and gave me a dose of reality when the law seemed so unfair and one sided.

Alex volunteered at our nonprofit community service organization a few months ago and imparted a tremendous amount of information and knowledge he had about the housing sector to our staff. Our organization provides free housing counseling services for the public, to help them prevent foreclosures and/or resolve tenant-landlord issues. In order to help us better understand and apply for a first-time fair housing grant, Alex volunteered his time and skills and helped us write an incredible grant proposal- one in which scored in the 90th percentile- to help us create a new fair housing program at our organization. Alex spent several weeks volunteering with us, patiently working with us and educating us on the topic. This was our very first application for this type of grant and even though we were not selected, our organization's proposal scored in 90th percentile bracket out of the many thousands of applications received. We are convinced that the knowledge and information he imparted on our housing staff was tremendous, which now helps them better understand complex fair housing issues. During this process, we discovered that Alex had a great training history in this arena, because he was a fair housing clinic participant during his law school days. This combined with his passion to help people in need, provides him with an excellent knowledge of the law along with real hands-on fair housing and landlord tenant assistance experience.

My husband and I started a custody and child support battle in 2020. After constant bullying from the other parties attorney, we finally had enough and needed someone on our side. Someone who would stand up for us and help us see the light. Emily did that.

Without question, Ilian is my hero. I am a widow and my case was unusual. My husband and I owned a vacation home located in the Idyllwild area. When he passed, it became necessary for me to sell the house. Two real estate agents persuaded me into acting as the bank for a 'buyer' they both vouched for. He did not obtain a bank loan. In the four years he lived in the home, his payments were consistently late (for the last one and one-half years no payments were made); he NEVER paid any of the real estate taxes, home owner's dues and fire insurance fees. Because the home was technically in his name and I was not a bank, this became a very challenging case for Ilian. He encountered many road blocks yet always found resources to get over the hurtles. Did I mention that the 'buyer' thought he was smarter than anyone in the room, was a persuasive talker (con-man), and a pervasive liar. I came very close to actually losing my house to this man which would have severely damaged my financial health. Due to Ilian's knowledge, thoroughness, attention to detail and immense patience, the house successfully sold. He routinely sent me a monthly detailed account of his activities, hours spent and cost. He was always fair and accurate. Absolutely worth every penny! I highly recommend Ilian Alchehayed.

She is the best lawyer I have ever known in VA. At first I was so worried about having a record in my life. But after I talked to her, I felt so relieved. She is so nice that you could trust her at all. I had a case that driving 82/70 Mph in VA, which cause a Misdemeanor.. and an infraction for the expired license. The outcome is changing misdemeanor to infraction,no points, no record, no influence on the insurance, and the infraction is dismissed. All in all , she is deserve your trust!

I initially got in contact with Taylor for a consultation through my friend who had worked with him for her divorce . He gave me all of the information I needed to self-file. My ex avoided service and filed his own divorce papers in CA where he lives. So it all became very complicated. I came back to Taylor and hired him to help me navigate through it all. He could not give me any advice on CA, but he was very skilled at helping me know what to do to ensure jurisdiction for the case would be here in OR. I had lived here for 2 years with my 10 year old son. Taylor was able to successfully get jurisdiction changed to OR. My ex challenged it in CA, but we prevailed. This was an incredibly stressful and emotional experience for me that went on for almost 2 years. Taylor stuck through it all with me and was a calm and patient sounding board for my concerns and questions. He is a saint for all of the times he talked me off the edge and helped me through it all. He answered every call in a timely manner and swiftly followed up on all the necessary documents and filings needed. After trying to take care of my father's estate and will when he passed on, I discovered that both of my parents' wills were not done correctly the first time and outdated. I gave my mother's will to Mr. Bowen and he wrote a new one that was very detailed and fixed the error in her will that had existed in my father's will that created so many problems. I was so pleased with his work that I asked him to write my husband's and my will. He made the process less intimidating and worked with me over the phone and e-mail so that I did not have to take time off work to go into his office while discussing the details. He wrote all three wills in a very short amount of time. I would recommend him with no hesitations.

Divorce time is one of the harder time you can have. Is almost impossible to fight alone. My case was more than 2 years.
Hiring a Lawyer is a must. without knowledge you will finish making a lot of mistake against yourself that in the long run is going to cost you and affect you triple or more. How you going to end is proportional direct to who you hire to do this job.
Attorney Guarino from the very beginning turn my situation upside down in my favor. and keep it like this, one step at the time getting better up to the end.
She really knows when is the right time to do each movement.
And the best I didn't cost me a fortune that other firm quotes for me.

she try the home, she want 5000 $ a month lifetime for alimony, Full custody of my two daughters, of course child support, all the family assets, she want me to pay her lawyer fees, and all family liabilities , if this is not enough, My ex also wants uncalculated amount from my employer , something like 200 thousand. The home was sold, no money for my ex, alimony was so low that is easier to say , there was not alimony, My ex was impose to pay herself her lawyers fees, parenting plan was 50/50 every other week, and child support is a table, not one can change that.
