We had never had any real experience or interaction with an attorney, so I must confess to having been a bit apprehensive prior to our initial interview with Mr. Burton. I went to see Jenae Anderson at Burton & McKinnish about a divorce. After a bit of a rocky start due to a misunderstanding, she worked extremely hard on my behalf. And the office staff, especially Iris Harrison, paralegal, were outstanding. While I would not wish a difficult divorce on anyone, I would recommend Burton & McKinnish immediately.

I was contacted by Marisel when I paid for a 15 minute advice session on Avvo. My wife and I were in the middle of a family based immigration petition when the lawyer that we had hired basically forgot about our case, causing a delay of 2-3 months. We had continued the process ourselves, but that left me feeling a little nervous and with some questions. Marisel was kind, patient and well-informed. She was good at assessing our situation and gave me level-headed advice. She did not exaggerate or create scary scenarios. Our petition was almost done at that point, and everything seemed in order, so we opted to complete the process without a lawyer. But if we had to do it again start to finish I would definitely hire Marisel to handle our case!

Shannon is handling my current divorce. Very patient and understanding, yet gives it to you straight and truthful. Very fair in regards to cost. Has charged 1/3 of my wife's attorney yet has filled me in more and made sure I understand what she is doing for me in trying to move forward. Has recommended actions to me that I have taken and some I have not, but understands why I decided not to without badgering me. I'm no easy client, and I have probably handcuffed her in defending me. But she consults me and gives it to me from both perspectives. I'm so glad I found her services and double glad she accepted me as a client. Her assistant Kaila is a saint as well. I hired Ms. Otto to assist me with my divorce in 2012. She was very easy to work with and did a great job in dealing with my ex husbands attorney. We were able to come to an amicable separation agreement in a very reasonable amount of time which was important to me so that things didn’t get dragged out. I also hired her and her partner Mr. Locke to assist me in another part of my divorce which had to do with my mothers will and again they were nothing but professional and swift in getting that situation wrapped up. I have referred quite a few folks to Ms. Otto including my daughter for a prenuptial agreement. If you’re looking for a great lawyer that will get things done in a timely fashion with your best interest at heart look no further.

I retained Ms. Shannon Otto and she helped me to file a couple of show cause motions for contempt of court, she also helped me to increase my visitation time, and to update our child support schedule. I am extremely impressed with Ms. Otto. She is very knowledgeable, professional and honest attorney. During the discovery phase she was very thorough and she made me work a lot to compile all the information that could serve as evidence. I really appreciate the way that she represented me in court, in front of the Judge, Ms. Otto was always very well prepared. She focused on the important issues, and she chose her battles wisely. At the end, I am very pleased with the outcome of my case. Her paralegal, Ms. Craig was very helpful, she always kept me informed on the development of my case and she always got back to me to answer my questions.
I really hope that I do not have to return to court, but if this happens, I will not hesitate to retain Ms. Otto to represent me again. Miss Shannon Otto is an outstanding family law attorney and I highly recommend her.

Merideth was a lifesaver for my family. We actually worked on two divorces together. The second one was insanely difficult because my kids were involved and my ex wife chose one of the worst divorce lawyers in the business. He simply did not want to settle eventhough my ex wife did. Ms. Kamal was the answer to my prayers! She's the best family law attorney I have had in 13 years. I wish I had hired her earlier. She knows the law and legal technicalities and embarrasses the counsel by just quoting the actual law and rules. She is highly knowledgeable and compassionate.
Her attention to detail and ability to control the situation set her apart from others.
She was blunt and honest about my situation. Though that was not what I wanted to hear, she didn't give me any false hope. She represented me on two enforcement cases and oh boy! She got both lawsuits dismissed on the basis of legal technicalities. She lifted such a huge weight off my shoulders. She and her team was very persistent and strategic to helping me get the best possible outcome in my situation.

I was recommended by the EAP (Employee Assistance Program) for Federal Employees. I had a very complicated situation for my divorce due to my spouse being a non-citizen and in another country. Her vast knowledge has been very sharp and made sure I got the best in the end of the mediation.
Not only did she work hard to make sure every dollar count, she fought for me during my struggles of the Government Shutdown. When I was tight financially, she was willing to work out a payment plan. She made sure that I understood the process and the rights of both parties and the custody.
Although she is straight forward and to the point, she is one of the most compassionate lawyers I have ever worked with. I would recommend her to anyone who needs help in Family law and Immigration. I first hired Mr. Rowe in 2015 for a business incorporation and the drafting of some business agreements for our medical group. I have been extremely happy with his services, and have continued to use him ever since.
On one recent very serious matter, we hired Mr. Rowe to defend us in some very contentious litigation. He continually kept us informed as to the status of our case and stayed in contact with us throughout the matter, always available to take calls at the office and quickly responding to any emails. With Mr. Rowe's guidance on our case, not only were we able to resolve it in our favor, but we turned the tide on the opposing party and they ended up having to pay back our attorney fees for the case.

Not only is Donna incredibly proficient at what she does professionally, She is a very compassionate caring and helpful person as well! She knew how to communicate well with both myself & my now ex-husband. I got an incredible settlement -fair & generous. Absolutely fantastic to work with ! Through keeping my ex-wife‘s attorney in check as well as always being on the attack in the courtroom Yive fought for my rights as well as my child’s continuously. After doing coparenting class and social study we were able to ensure my child’s stability and safety living with me primarily in ensuring that he was not anywhere near the violence that was taking place at the other household . And that is very hard to do As the father. If you are looking for someone that’s going to take your back and fight for what’s right definitely give her a call specially if you are a father looking to maintain your rights. Divorces and custody battles are not easy and are stressful, you want to use the best attorney out there to have your side and in my personal opinion there is no better attorney in the DFW area.

My divorce was just final almost a year ago. It was a difficult situation with our business involved. Denise ALWAYS looked out for me. I would get intimidated - just plain scared - and she would "talk me off the cliff"! This happened many times. She was always available - even at night and on weekends. I have had an ongoing child custody case for 6 years now. Just recently I have come across David, unfortunately he is located 3 hours from the district court my case is in. However, that has not steered him away from helping me with over the phone consults regarding my case. He has gone above and beyond my expectations in providing me with the information i needed, as well as plainly explaining situations and scenarios of my case so that i could understand what exactly is going on and how I personally need to go about handling it. No, I have not gotten the pleasure to meet David in person yet, but from the amount of time I have spent talking with him has me convinced he is the best attorney to handle something like my case. There has not been a single time that he didn't answer the phone when i called, and knew exactly who I was by the time we had our second phone conversation. I am very impressed with his work ethic as well as his personality because he will put himself in your shoes to be able to give you the best possible legal advise that he can. I am definitely looking forward to more help from David, and possibly retaining him as an attorney if possible in the future (the 3 hour drive may be the only issue at hand with being able to hire him). I will definitely recommend David to anyone I know seeking legal advise on any matter because I feel confident that he can help anyone with any legal issues they may have, and if he doesn't have the answer right away he will get the answer and get back with you in a very timely manner. I was over my head in debt due to medical bills and an auto accident. Quiet frankly I thought I would never be debt free. When I meet Minh I didn’t have much but not only was he willing to work with me but went above and beyond what I would have ever expected. I hired Nick for a custody case when the mother of my child moved out of state and tried to register a foreign order. I needed someone really good so I called a very renowned and retired lawyer in the area (since I’m out of state) and asked who the best lawyer for family / custody issues. He said Nick, no question. He’s experienced, hungry, and honest. I have now had Nick representing me off and on for the past 5 years and because my situation happens to involve parental alienation and complicated matters, we continue to litigate and there’s no one I’d rather have on my side. In this course of time my child’s mother has hired 4 different attorneys as none of them have faired well against Nick (it also doesn’t help she has always been on the wrong side of the law). If you hire Nick he will listen, thoroughly research the facts and precedent, and give you your best chance at relief in your case. There is nothing like the piece of mind having great and honest representation. I hired Nick Hursh to represent me in a Family Law case that was out of the realm of norm. Nick was really good in fighting for me and the R.O. made on me by my bfs EX. My bf is going through a nasty divorce and of course she's doing the typical "reaching" as I like to call it. Being that all of allegations made on me were so far fetched and outlandish, I had PROOF against all the allegations made, which we did NOT even have to present any of this proof. Basically saying she had no legit reason for request, and Nick was able to show there was no basis for any of her claims, which were 100% falsified. He knows his stuff, he goes in ready to fight for you, and wins. He will remind you to stay calm and keep your poker face straight, which I really respected and loved his tactic. Hopefully I will not have to use any attorney ever, but if I was in need he will be my go to. I highly recommend him.

Sean is honest, kind and proactive – he lifted such a huge weight and worry off my shoulders. I felt backed into a corner, trying to defend my daughter and I by getting a restraining order on my own. I was naïve to the court process and thought I could do it on my own. He jumped in right away and helped me to see the situation differently to release the upset and worry. I was prepared to write a good review for Sean Patrick because I could sense from the get-go that he is refreshingly honest and well intentioned but I was not prepared to write such a phenomenal review. I was truly blown away by his performance in the courtroom. Sean was retained very late in the game and a continuance was unfortunately denied but he did not appear to be any less prepared than he would have been otherwise. He was also not up against just one attorney but two on the other side, one of whom I understand has a 60 page resume and is "the best of the best" in what he does. Despite such impressive and intimidating representation from the other party, Sean held a perfectly calm assertiveness and nailed every point on its head to an extent that I honestly just did not expect. The other two attornies together probably cost 3 times what Sean cost yet I did not at any time feel that reflected in the trial. Quite the contrary, actually. I share this as a token to Sean for his great work but more importantly because I feel that people need to know who they can trust in the game of retaining attornies. Sean really is one of the "good guys, " which is unfortunately more few and far between than I would like to believe. If you didn't know this already, know it now: it is so incredibly important to walk into any attorney-client relationship with eyes wide open because (let's be honest) there is just so much senseless corruption and dishonesty that tends to be involved. After having been through the whole process with him I can genuinely say that Sean can be trusted. There were opportunities to where he could have taken advantage of the situation and claimed that he was owed more money than he was or created more unnecessary work for himself but he did not. It is refreshing to know that attornies like Sean exist. He is a great choice and absolutely first recommendation on my list.

At the beginning of my legal situation, I was representing myself and went between feeling unsure to fairly confident. This was up until the time when my husband hired a lawyer.

Mr. Rooney and his wonderful staff settled a car accident case for me. He made sure I could go to a doctor and the doctor got paid from the money he got from the insurance company. I have gotten the treatment I need and my bills are paid - PLUS I have settlement money for my medical bills if I have to go to the doctor again with my back. I hired Denise after having a poor experience with a lawyer that was recommended through family. My father had passed away without a will and I needed to become the representative of the estate. After waiting 4 months on the other lawyer and taking time off from work to travel to Massachusetts to meet with him I hired Denise. In less than 10 business days she had me appointed as the representative of the estate. I also had to go through probate court for a license to sell my father's home and she handled that process even faster. You always hear stories that Mass probate court is a nightmare but Denise made the process seem easy and seamless (although I am sure she had to jump through hoops to get everything done so quickly).
