Patrick Crawley was already busy enough when I called looking for a divorce attorney after another had me wait for five weeks and emailed they wouldn’t take my case. I had lost valuable time. Patrick said he would be my attorney. He saved my house from being sold without my knowledge. He refused to compromise concerning a future asset. Patrick is empathetic, ethical and knowledgeable. Shane and his paralegals are amazing. I was living out of state when my money hungry ex decided to start a case against me. Absolutely great team of lawyers and paralegals. Helped me get my DUI dismissed because of their due diligence from day one. There was no part of me that ever wanted to meet Jody or Anna. None! As a 20 year marriage was ending I started asking around for names of attorneys. I didn't have a clue where to start. But, there was one firm that came up several times from people I trusted - Stahancyk, Kent and Hook. I consulted with several firms before SKH and saved them for last. The old adage, save the best for last? Ask Jody or Anna their theory on how you capture a monkey. Hilarious and and so wise. It was at that story, I said... Yes, they are the total for me. They KNOW the law. But, more important that that - THEY UNDERSTAND PEOPLE!
By the grace of God I didn't need near as much representation as I thought I would. It was peaceful. From the very beginning Anna Friedhoff spoke candidly and truthfully with me. There were several times she needed to remind that I hired her because she is the professional. I am a strong woman and wanted to run the show. Oopsy! She gently but firmly guided me through it. When it became apparent the divorce was going to be amicable she saved me tens of thousand of dollars in fees. I bullet pointed out what I need/wanted. She drafted, we went back and forth with a few revisions. I even received a refund on my retainer fee!!!
I hesitate to mention the swiftness of my divorce as I am fully aware it is not a normal pace. I met Anna Friedhoff on a Wednesday, she had the petition filed by that Friday, September 10th and Clackamas county judge signed our divorce decree October 19th. Yes, I was divorced in 6 weeks. I’m giving Anna Friedhoff 5 stars as a divorce attorney, only because I can’t give 6 stars. Anna is the best attorney in Oregon, and if you’re in the unfortunate position of divorce, she needs to be your first and only call.
Anna is an absolute MONSTER of an attorney. She is brilliant, passionate, aggressive, and an all around badass. If anything else, simply hire her to ensure she’s never looking at you from the other side of the courtroom. I promise you, the last name you want to see on the opposing counsel team is Anna Friedhoff.
While we dealt with Covid, and unexpected delays, Anna never took her eyes off the prize. She fought for me and she won every single motion we entered into. Hiring Anna Friedhoff as my divorce attorney was the best decision I’ve ever made in my life.

I was absolutely terrified and blindsided when I received notice that, after the welfare department waived renewal requirements for Medicaid and SNAP benefits in 2020, due to the pandemic- I was being charged with welfare fraud (having not appropriately updated them in writing with my salary change).
I received a form letter about a month later, advertising Attorney Lehman’s experience. Having no idea where else to turn, I called her office. I was fairly skeptical, but after speaking with her, I hired her, based on her calm, matter-of-fact demeanor, and reassurance that she could handle this case.
Although I remained anxious- as we only communicated over the phone and through email a couple times before the preliminary hearing- she more than deserves a 5-star rating.
The result was that I needed to repay the overpayment that welfare had given me, which is completely understandable. But when I’d first been notified of the criminal charges, and offered to repay whatever I wasn’t entitled to, the investigator stated that this wasn’t an option.
It had seemed like a misunderstanding, that occurred during a worldwide emergency, would mean a permanent criminal record, and possibly prison. Attorney Lehman was able to negotiate a dismissal of charges altogether- which I doubt would have happened otherwise. She provided not only legal expertise, but the reassurance and competence throughout this ordeal that was invaluable.

Lori is very knowledgeable and has alot of experience; she knows the court system and has worked with many of the other attorneys. He got my apartment back within the first couple of weeks of working with him when prior to that I was out of my apartment for several months. Tonya Gibbs Penn is the exception, not the rule. Not only did she have tremendous compassion with our case, but she also proved to be a brilliant attorney who demonstrates a true interest in her clients and their cases.
We live in Nashville and wanted someone to represent us who would really care about our case. Trust was an important factor because our case was in Virginia and we’re in Tennessee, about ten hours from court.
Ms. Penn not only made sure that we understood the specifics of our current case, but she also explained what we would need to expect going forward. She never ignored any communication or kept us guessing. She was forthright and highly responsive.
More importantly, no one else would’ve been so willing to peel back the layers of the case and ask the questions that she asked in order to get the best information to help us better prepare for the future.

Liam and his team are amazing people..from his office taking time out to help me through sticky situations so I didn't disobey any orders. After splitting up with now my ex wife, I began looking for a "good" attorney. Naturally I searched the internet reading reviews etc. I decided by his great reviews that I wanted Liam Duffy to represent me. That was the absolute best decision of my life. I absolutely loved how Liam spoke to me man to man as though we were friends and having a conversation. He made me feel extremely comfortable, and always explained everything so it all made perfect sense. Liam pretty much put my ex's attorney to shame. It was quite awesome really, I would be lying if I said I wasn't grinning from ear to ear as Liam just shredded my ex's attorney. At one point my ex was trying to stop my daughter from coming with me on my appointed night, it was roughly 6 pm I made a phone call to Liam, he had my ex's attorney on the phone and literally within the hour my ex was dropping my daughter off at my home! Now how many attorneys will do that for ya at 6-7 pm in the evening? Liam got me full physical custody of my daughter and I didn't think it would be possible. I could go on and on about the things Liam did for me, I am so pleased. If you are looking for a top notch attorney that will not nickel and dime you, that is very fair on everything and will work with you every step of the way, then Liam Duffy is the attorney you want to represent you. Travis Turner has been our divorce attorney for many years. My husband unfortunately agreed to a poorly drafted divorce decree in 2008, which led to many years of ongoing conflict with his ex-spouse. Travis worked tirelessly on our behalf. He was able to negotiate a modification to the original divorce decree, leading to thousands of dollars saved in unnecessary spousal support. I hired Mr. Cohen to get the job done and he did just that. The only downfall was the time it took to complete my divorce. To no faults of Scott of course. The courts are so backed up it took a while. The positive part was being able to contact Scott and he almost was always available to speak with me. He kept me in the loop with everything that was going on in my case and that was one of the most important things to me. I do recommend Scott if communication is a big deal because he does make it a point to stay in contact and include his client.

It's been a constant struggle with my son's mother, before acquiring Randi J. Vladimer as my attorney i had no chance to show the courts the stress she was causing for me and my wife. We were in a very challenging spot, taking care of our nephew with major behavioral problems as legal guardians. Doctors advised us to call the state to put our nephew into the state conservatorship so additional facilities would be available to us. When we call, CPS threatened us with legal action, tried to intimidate, and were the opposite of helpful. Greg came through for us in a big way, when we needed it most. I had previously hired another attorney back in 2016, but due to the uncooperativeness of the other party's attorney and my attorney's own personal demons, my case was dragged out for two years with zero progress. Then, I met Spencer back in April 2018. I explained to him the backstory of my case as it currently stood. My case was not an overly complicated case at all, as I was simply being denied my access for visitation. He made no promises, but did tell me that I did have good merit for a modification of the parent-child relationship, which is what I believed to be the case prior to meeting with him. If I'm not mistaken, the final trial in my case had been reset a total of 4 times over the course of my case before we officially had trial. After all these years, dating back from 2014 - 2022 (8 years), my case was so loaded with evidence, it was actually planned to have trial over the course of 2 days. Luckily, we were able to finish trial in 1 single day. While Spencer does represent both mothers and fathers, Spencer has a real passion for representing fathers and is an advocate for fathers' equal rights, this is one of the reasons I was drawn to hire Spencer. I knew that I did not make a mistake when choosing who I wanted in my corner. For those that think that simply having an attorney is the be-all and end-all, you couldn't be more wrong. You should be on top of your case just as much as your attorney is. Your case is as good as you make it out to be, an attorney can only do so much. I went to trial thinking that my case could go one of two ways. I figured in the best case scenario, I would be awarded 50/50 custody, worst case scenario, nothing would change (which is what is typically expected in the District Court I was in since the judge is traditional and old fashioned - which means "pro-mom"). To my surprise, the judge awarded me primary custody with everything additional that I asked for in my pleadings (effective 04/11/2022). Spencer is a fantastic attorney who actually gets the job done and takes pride in his work! There are many attorneys that practice Family Law, but in my opinion, I wouldn't consider most of them to be good "trial attorneys", whereas Spencer knows all of the ins-and-outs of trial, he knows what evidence should be presented and when, he knows exactly when to make an objection, and he can be extremely persuasive to not only the judge but the opposing party. I never had any issues with communicating with him or his office. I could not have asked for better representation! I know exactly who I will refer people to when a Family Law attorney is needed! I cannot speak any higher of Jeff Branch. He handled my unfortunate divorce for me and made it a smooth, way less stressed ordeal. I had originally hired a different attorney who did what most lawyers do, promise to help you, get your money, then put you on the back burner. I have worked with Ms. Taylor since the start of my divorce in 2017, it's conclusion in 2018 and every issue that has come up since. Through everything the other party has thrown at us (constantly losing counsel, backing out of agreements, and generally prolonging the case) she has handled every aspect in my case with urgency, attention to detail, and a grace that only she has. I'm amazed at how she is always able to anticipate the opposing parties next move. A little background on this issue, my son was back and forth to the doctor around Jan 2020 with breathing issues. Finally, he was diagnosed with severe asthma. He had to take different medications and be hooked up to machine several times a day. Then, Covid-19 hit in March 2020. During this time, he were still going to visitation and all parties were made aware of our son's condition and the doctor's recommendation. However, the other party did not follow these guidelines (i.e. taking him to parties) which put him as risk. Ms. Taylor handled this situation thoughtfully. She attempted to work with the other party outside of court and get him to agree to follow the doctor's recommendations and guidelines. Only when the other party refused, did we seek assistance from the courts. The judge ruled in our favor allowing my son to limit his exposure to Covid-19 while getting his asthma under control. I will be forever grateful to Ms. Taylor and her skills as an attorney for helping my family live a happy healthy life.

Before hiring David Wynne to represent me in a complex divorce case, I carefully studied Fort Worth Magazine's "Top Lawyers for 2020" and attorney reviews in the Avvo Lawyer Directory. In both places, I found Mr. Wynne to be very highly rated and decided to contact him by telephone. A ten-minute conversation convinced me that David Wynne was the attorney I wanted to represent me.
While reading my first letter from Mr. Wynne, I noted that his letterhead promised to provide clients with "aggressive controlled representation." Yes, I found this to be the case, but, more importantly, I found him to a "client friendly attorney" who always represented me in a competent, caring, and classy manner.
My divorce case had been poorly handled by my previous attorney. For this reason, lots of work was required by David and he had many "Motions" to file just to "get us up to speed" and "place us on an even playing field" with my former wife and her attorney. As this occurred, during a five-month period, David's legal knowledge and skills as an attorney became very evident to me.
Because of delaying tactics by the opposing counsel and the fact that this counsel required my divorce case to be arbitrated rather than settled in a court of law, the case took 14 months to resolve.
