I was referred to Attorney Riccio as one of the only dental malpractice attorneys in the area. For well over a week now I've left voicemails and sent emails and only received the most illegible emails in response, for example, the first email i sent I received a blank email in response, so i questioned this and got "please email me directly" as a response... the email I have been attempting to utilize for communication is the one listed on Mr. Riccio's website... so I started over with another email, explained thathat he had told me to email him directly and that email i was sending to was the one on his website, and he responds "that is fine"... so I explained my situation again and have yet yo hear back neither through email nor a return call after having left a voicemail over 2 weeks ago

Right from the first time we met, I knew I was going to have a positive experience with Atty. Rowel Manasan. He is very knowledgeable, upright with the subjects in discussion and applies his best approach to my needs. I did not feel intimidated by his approach to my legal needs. It is equally very important to me that he was highly recommended by my insurance agent because I am easily cautious of lawyers having heard so many painful experiences of some friends with their own lawyers. I believe I am in a propitious ground because the best part in working with Atty. Manasan is his consideration of my ability to meet the necessary legal fees while getting my money’s worth. All the legal papers prepared were professionally presented and completed. These, plus his personal touch with my estate planning showcased his niche in the industry. Trustworthy and a promising lawyer are the most favorable attributes I can say about Atty. Manasan.

I have never posted a publicly negative review, but as a scorned client, I feel it is my duty to warn potential victims of this firm. Stuart was hired for a case and nothing was done for almost 3 years, except for 34 ADJOURNMENTS, (all of which were billed for). I received multiple duplicate charges on my bills and specifically asked for him to file certain motions that were never done. I lost out on half of what I was entitled to, and had to settle with the other side just for my sheer sanity. This office is now threatening to sue ME for money owed, after I paid them over $5ook and lost in the end due to Stuart's incompetency. To any potential clients, find another attorney who actually passed Ethics in law school.

She turned in and filed papers late, showed up over 2 hours late for mediation and 4 minutes late to arbitration. When calling to ask about the status of my case, her staff outright lied, telling me she wasn't there, when I later found out she was. At least the firm she was working with fired her. That's how I found out the truth. At least the firm owned up to their and her mistake, but she's not trustworthy or timely in anything concerning my case. I am now on welfare when I was making $60,000 per year, and it's due to her misconduct.

Amy was hired to represent child in a custody battle. She said she would see the child weekly and by herself and that never happened. She saw the child 1x alone and 1x with other parent present in the room. She doesn't care what children tell her or should tell her she doesn't want to hear it from them. She focus on things that are from a past and not things happening in the present. She has her own CPS worker that she is good friends with from a county that is not either party location to do the interview and they side with each other. She is not professional and she will tell you to do 1 thing then when she sends msg to judge its total opposite. I dont recommend that type lawyer for anyone. She needs to be reviewed on her family law values and stop getting by bc she donates to the children's protective agency. Seems like buying herself in . Bot professional at all and quite rude to ppl.

No agreement arrived. There were several more phone calls, several more promises of a forthcoming representation agreement. Meanwhile, other persons, who required the name of the person who was representing me, were becoming frantic. After about 2 months, when no agreement arrived, I gave up - and found another attorney. T Wickham Schmidt was referred to us by another Green Bay attorney. We called him 2 months ago. He said he did NOT have a conflict of interest with any parties we want to sue. Said he would represent us for $2,500. I wanted to think about it. On January 19, 2024, I called his office again to say that matter have gotten worse and we could not resolve this case with the other party. I told him that I could send him a detailed e-mail and He agreed to read it. I sent it Sunday, January 22, 2024. He wrote back to me saying he wanted $500 for an opinion on my case and some information to help us resolve it in small claims court. I wrote back saying we would send him $500 after we got some detailed and useful information with some questions answered. To our shock, we got today, January 24, 2024, a 2 sentence message saying HE COULD NOT REPRESENT US. No explanation. No anything. We are very upset that this lawyer, in whom we put our trust treated us in such a shabby manner. We sent him confidential information, and put our trust in confidentiality. I can only hope that he, at least, destroys the sensitive and confidential information and sends me a postal letter that he has not shared the information we provided with anyone else.

I have no feedback for his work as a lawyer, but his personal skills are beyond horrible. After my initial inquiry and multiple attempts to confirm receipt of my fax, he called me and yelled at me non-stop and lied about his calling me back multiple times (I got 1 call 4 days later). He would not let me say a single word for well over a minute. He then hung up on me and when I called him back, he told me to NEVER call his cell phone ever again. He did not return the emails I had sent, and he waited 4 days to tell me he did not receive my faxes and then complained that this all would be blamed on him because I didn't send the document! (Why would I NOT send the documents and then ask multiple times if you received them?!?!) What a horrible representation and initial impression he gave us. Even if I were in the wrong completely, this is no way for reasonable humans to act. Engage this man with caution. He may be a wonderful lawyer, but I would never trust him.

Perfect line for this attorney is that he is Robber who extorts money by using his law degree. He is one of the attorney who thinks it’s OK to charge $1500 for 4-5 emails that were exchanged because the crooked HOA he worked as an attorney for refused to take care of any issues and only way to resolve was to get in touch with the attorney and violation was for something that does not even state in CCR’s and he feels totally OK about cheating and never sending any invoices after many requests. Karma has a way to come back to bite you and it will.

This attorney is a scam. After the nterview he has predetermined your claim for a fast win. He has installed doctors to lie for you if need be. Once you hire an attorney while in appeal, you can fire him like I did. But this lawyer wouldn’t leave. He was a failure at my appeal. The judge said she would deny the whole appeal but she remand it. From that point I never seen him again. I fought my appeal writing letters to the judge, veterans counsel, , the bar association answering my on C&p’s They are still in operation because like me once the contract is signed just as in the military you are held to it. He was retained but never worked my case for 8 months. Then found out he never submitted any documents to the District Attorneys office on my defense. The only discovery the DA had was a statement the plaintiff wrote. Then he made a plea deal an hour before the deadline with the District Attorneys office the day before the bench trial without my consent. I just can't recommend an attorney that requested so much documentation for 8 months then never submitted it. I will never pay another attorney in full when retaining them again.

Mr. McGlynn had my case for six months. He never filed for a motion for summary disposition of my case. Mr. McGlynn did not take any depositions on my case in the same six months. As far as I am aware, he never even submitted any written interrogatories or request to produce. In my opinion he had charged too much and accomplished too little, so I chose to hire a new attorney. My new attorney actively and efficiently pursued the case, took discovery, and the case was dismissed. My new attorney advised me that if he had been representing me in the beginning of the case he would have immediately sought a dismissal of the case based on the defenses that were available and was surprised that such a motion was not filed. My experience with Mr. McGlynn was upsetting. In my opinion his not efficiently pursuing these existing defenses added unnecessarily to the cost and was emotionally draining.

I have several issues with how my case was handled by the attorney. The biggest being the fact that he was repeatedly asked to request for attorney fees be included in our arbitration case and he told me that we did not need to do so which turned out not to be the case per the award letter. The attorney allowed a time extension to the respondent without getting my approval (this was against my wishes). The attorney was pushy about allowing additional time to the respondent. The attorney recommended we settle for basically what I had already paid in legal costs. In addition to generally being last minute, unprepared, short, dismissive, poor at legal positioning, and poor at communicating. I gave the attorney notice of my intention to file a complaint since then he has not attempted to reach out to me. I would not recommend you use this attorney based on the service he provided.

He did a horrific job as my lawyer. He was extremely arrogant and because of his legal advice, I am paying Alimony ($800 per month) to my Ex wife for life. She is also going to receive a large portion of my Military Retirement in a few months. Because of his lack of ability or ineptness in representing me, I will be paying over 30% of my retirement income to my ex wife. Be very cautious when choosing an attorney: that "officer of the court" with whom one must be totally (self) assured will protect their 'better interests' as if it were the attorneys' own interests'. I only wish that a prior client of Mr. Quaid would have alerted me (via this review board). We were charged fees for services not rendered: several (3) unsigned motions which were submitted to the clerks' office... but were not decided upon (by a Judge) due to "accidental" signature omission. I do have evidence/proof of my allegations. I have nothing good to say about my experience with this man.

I was referred to Chuck by another attorney, who said he was one of the best and that he was known for his professionalism, results, and integrity. Chuck is an excellent attorney and knows every detail of the case that he is working on. He is never anything less than professional and fully prepared. He does not waist your time or your money. He is quick, concise, and to the point, but he is kind and caring at the same time - a very difficult balance to maintain. He always looks out for the best interest of his clients and is five steps ahead of me (and I am a worrier) and the opposition, so that says quite a bit. Without attempt, he made the opposing counsel look like she was an unprepared child playing dress up in Mommy's clothes compared to him when we were forced to go to court against a large "high powered law firm" that my ex-husband paid EIGHT times as much money for and he got far less results in court than I did. My first ex later admitted he was embarrassed by the lack of professionalism the partner at his firm showed in comparison to Chuck - especially in court because we were so well prepared. In comparison to us, it literally looked like they had just shown up that morning without any preparation. The judge was even restraining himself from laughing under his breath at the differences because of the inadequacies Chuck so brightly brought to light. We both had five and a half months to prepare; however, it showed that Chuck had wisely used that time to work on the case so that we would not have any surprises, bumps, or bruises along the way. His courtroom presence was nothing less than stellar. I have been questioned many times, but no one can hold a candle to Chuck's rapid fire, on-your-toes method of questioning. Unfortunately, I am a repeat customer, he doesn't offer a discount for multiple divorces, and I have sent over a half a dozen friends to him over the last several years for divorce and custody issues; however, none of us could be more pleased with the services that we received, so none of us can complain about anything except our ex's which is our own doing. He worked with me for months on my second case as well, going through my case with the understanding, care, and compassion of a big brother. He always had my best interest at heart. We were given one curve ball after another by the opposing counsel and Chuck handled them all like the consummate professional that he is, giving me adequate time to recover before we settled (I had an injury from domestic abuse that was still being treated under my ex's insurance). He is the type of person that completely restores your faith in the legal field and makes you speak up whenever someone tells a lawyer joke at a party. I am truly blessed to have found an honest, diligent attorney who is also personal and professional. You don't receive any less from his staff either. They made two horrible experiences as pleasant and easy as possible. I knew that with Chuck on the job, I did not have to worry about anything because he had everything I could possibly anticipate and more already under control. I just can not say enough good things about him. I HIGHLY recommend Chuck without reservation and I have multiple times already. My only mistake is that I didn't call him sooner! I'm happily married to a wonderful man now. Chuck is a great person and a fabulous attorney. If you have any family law needs, he is the person to call.

Top Questions to Ask a Lawyer

When meeting with a lawyer for the first time, it's important to ask the right questions to understand their expertise and determine if they're the right fit for your legal needs. Here are some top questions to consider:

  1. What experience do you have with cases similar to mine?
Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.
  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. What potential outcomes can I expect from my case?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.
  4. What is your approach to handling cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. Who will be working on my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  6. How will you communicate with me throughout the process?
Establish expectations for updates, preferred communication methods, and response times.
  7. What is the likely timeline for resolving my case?
Get an estimate of how long the process may take from start to finish.
  8. Do you have references from past clients?
Testimonials or references can provide insight into the lawyer's professionalism and effectiveness.
  9. What are the strengths and weaknesses of my case?
Understanding potential challenges helps you prepare and sets realistic expectations.
  10. Are there alternative ways to solve my legal problem?
Discuss options like mediation, arbitration, or settlement to resolve the issue efficiently.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  1. Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:
For routine legal services like drafting a will or handling an uncontested divorce, lawyers might offer a flat fee.
    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
  • Pro Bono Services:
For those who cannot afford legal services, some lawyers or legal aid organizations offer services at reduced rates or for free.
