I consulted Amanda re: a severe, traumatic, domestic violence
situation: A former boyfriend has paid third parties to target me
across state lines/ and within 5 states- while he remains in California- so nothing is traceable to him. I was medically harmed, and sexually assaulted after he paid off medical personnel to forcibly/unjustifiably drug me unconscious at 2 medical facilities.
Amanda spoke with me for over an hour, free of charge. She
listened intently to the complex details of my case while taking
notes. She asked pertinent questions, before advising me on
how to proceed. She informed me that there are laws prohibiting
contingency arrangements for domestic violence and that I
would need to consult a medical malpractice or personal injury
attorney instead of a family law practitioner- because I can't
financially pay ahead. Amanda was respectful, sensitive,
empathetic and compassionate- and genuine in her helpfulness.

Theresa was appointed as court appointed lawyer for my son. I understand we are not paying for services, but why take a court appointed case if you really don't want to do the job. I also understand that these lawyers can not care so passionately about every one. But when I said she did nothing for my son, I do mean NOTHING!! I and my family members called her on numerous occasions to check what was going on with my son's case. The first time she had no idea who he was she didn't even know she was assigned to him. She couldn't even find his case. Second she told us 3 times on 3 different occasions that she was going to set up a phone/ person visit with my son to discuss the case. All 3 times something couldn't even explain what happened but she was not able to see him. On his court date, she didn't even show up. This is after she told us she would be there. We waited and waited and nothing. Then 3 days before his next court date, we called to see about court. To our surprise she says they took me off the case, and that's it. I would not recommend her, unless you are paying for her services. Even at that I wish you luck because she doesn't seem to care. If your loved one is appointed Ms. Teresa Vasquez I would highly recommend trying to get her changed or they might have to be incarcerated longer. I was very disappointed not because my son was in jail, but because when I spoke to her she wanted to sound like she would be on top of the situation. Like she had a plan like she understood. Everything she told us, she did not follow through with NOTHING!! NOT EVEN A SIMPLE PHONE CALL. I also understand that there are not a lot of people who show support when a family member is in jail, so I believe that the very last thing these inmates need is false hopes or information. I know they are not paying for your services but you are still getting paid!! She talks a good talk with NO follow through. Sad how they also take advantage of the system. Mr. Hancock represented my son in a criminal case. There was much disappointment as my son and I did not feel like Mr. Hancock was actually fighting for him throughout the process. There was alot to be desired from Mr. Hancock during the process. Mr Hancock used the states investigative findings instead of doing his own investigation to fight for my son. He made a statement to me on a couple of occasionas that I wasn't a rich woman in regards to paying for an investigation for my son. I was told by another attorney, that the state would have covered the cost of an investigation for my son that was not done by this attorney. Mr Hancock used the states slanted data instead of collecting his own. My son has been in jail/prison for about 6 years now. I just wish that Mr. Hancock would have cared more about his client, my son. I don't understand how the lawyer, Mr. Hancock, kept asking the client, "what's the plan?" I may be wrong, but I thought the attorney should formulate the plan? If we were familiar with the law, we wouldn't need an attorney. My son's case could have turned out differently, if the one that represented him,did more on his behalf. My heart is broken!

I hired him as an attorney for a DUI ( Marijuana) charge I received.. He seemed very knowledgeable and made me feel extremely comfortable. My license was still revoked , I was sentenced to 18 months probation and had to pay a ton of fees thousands of dollars !! I feel he could have fought the case and actually helped me , it was my first time getting in trouble!! My car smelt of burnt marijuana.. I wasn't drinking , I was required to complete a drug & alcohol assessment, a 10 hour DUI class, a Victims Impact Class & also I must have the breathalyzer in my car for 18months ! When I went to court the judge asked him about his mother & father as he reminisced about working with them. Stephen, you couldn't negotiate & get me a better outcome??!! I smile to keep from crying this has been EXTREMELY STRESSFUL for me. I wish someone could open my case back up & reevaluate the severity of my sentence.

I cannot recommend Stephen Edge highly enough. I came to his office extremely nervous and, frankly, just plain scared. I'd never been in trouble and had received a DUI. From the moment I met him, he showed compassion, professionalism and genuine concern without judgement. He took the time to explain each step of the process and all my options. He got my misdemeanor charge reduced with just fines and probation - I made a huge, stupid mistake months later and received a 2nd DUI. Now I was terrified and facing a felony charge. Stephen was able to get me off with a deferred sentence and just fines and my case will be EXPUNGED in 3 years, so NO criminal record. He saved my license, no breathing device on my car and most importantly to me, not one day in jail. He literally saved my job, home and my freedom. I hired this firm about 7 years ago after being charged with Wanton Endangerment for having an altercation with neighbors who were living in an apartment above mine. They were partying very loudly all night one weekend and I asked them several times to quiet down. Finally at around 0330 I got fed up so I wrote in mustard on their porch, "Shut Up," then went to the ground level on the grass and yelled up at their apartment to shut up, they then came outside onto their porch yelling down at me to go F myself at which point they saw the mustard message on their porch. They then came running down the stairs yelling that they were going to kill me so I ran into my apartment as they were hot on my tail. I didn't have time to shut the door behind me as they were coming at me fast so I ran into my apartment and grabbed my pistol from my kitchen and told them to get out of my apartment. A little struggle ensued as I had one by the throat and was pushing him out and his friends saw that I had the gun so they were helping to pull him back out of my apartment. After I got them out my roommate called the police.
When the police showed up apparently one of the officers knew one of the rednecks upstairs and took their side of the story, saying that I came outside with a gun pointing a pistol at them and threatening to shoot them. Complete BS.
(The smart thing to have done would have been to call the police to begin with. I understand that I was foolish that evening.)
Schneider suggested that we just plea to a lesser charge, a disorderly conduct charge, and not go to trial. Herein lies the problem with our legal system I suppose. This charge has caused me many thousands of dollars in immigration lawyers, not to mention all of the time I have wasted with not being able to work in the new country that I live because of immigration issues related to this 'case.' I suppose it was evident to Tim that I did not have the money to go to trial at the time, or maybe he is just used to the systems' 'routine' procedures, so I agreed to just accept the disorderly conduct charge.
All of that aside, when it came time for me to be eligible to expunge my charge, Tim would not respond back to me either via email or phone. I left a message with his assistant and sent many emails.
I'm not sure why he did not respond to my emails or phone call so that I could get the charge expunged. I'm not sure what benefit there could possibly be for an attorney to not have one of their client's charges expunged, so I don't think it was malicious, but it was aggravating and an email from him stating, "I'm too busy to take your case," would have been better than nothing.
So I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because at first he at least did communicate with me in a professional manner, even though his advice caused horrible consequences. I believe that the advice and course of action that we took created many problems for me and cost my family an additional $10,000 not to mention the time and opportunity cost of not being able to work in another country for years. Then not responding to me when it was time for expungement was really unprofessional.
I hired another attorney in Campbell County and got the charge expunged relatively pain free.

My letter to Joseph, still waiting on a repsonse from him:
Dear Joseph,
I wish to express my concerns about your last representation. In no way am I upset about the outcome of the recent custody conciliation. What I am very disappointed in is the total lack of guidance you had offered me when I had presented at your office in January. As a matter of fact, we never truly discussed the current situation in your office prior to the conciliation paperwork even being completed. I truly believe that had you took the time to go through my documents with me, and properly guided me as to the criteria for the request I was making, that we would have reached the same recommendation back in January that I am facing now.
I know that there are no guarantees in legal proceedings. I do expect proper guidance and representation a month before the fact when I present for it and not in a quick twenty minutes just before the custody conciliation is to take place and be left to defend myself. I view these circumstances as unprofessional conduct and expect more from such an honored attorney.
It is therefore I believe I should be entitled to reimbursement for some of the legal fees I have incurred. These proceedings could have been timed more effectively had you given this matter the attention it deserved for the fees I have submitted for your time and services.
.....In short, Joseph didn't have the time for the prior consult I scheduled with him and he just took my check and filed the papers without knowing a single fact. Once we did talk just twenty minutes before the conciliation (a month later), it was all so clear that Joseph initiated the action way to fast and just blew my time and money which was completely avoidable had he done things in the correct order. Why any lawyer would file a case before talking to his client is just beyond me????? I will be finding a new attorney..................

I have never worked with a firm that fails to communicate and is only concerned with obtaining additional funds to pursue long-term litigation. In addition, to shirking their responsibilites as legal counsel. Stay Away!

My daughter provided authorization to the Attorney to discuss the case and she refused to return any of my calls!! Again, she is providing one excuse after the next and stole $5,000 for a retainer!

I could not be happier with the gartner law firm. I was referred to them by a friend also in the legal field. Right away when I talked to matt gartner about my particular work comp case he was very easy to talk to and did not give me that "salesman vibe" I would know as I am a salesman by profession. Matt did an excellent job explaining all the ins and outs of my particular case and looked at everything in a very objective fashion.
Now I will say you must be patient with this process! You will not get results overnight. You must be patient to get the best result. That being said I'd be more than happy to suggest anyone with personal injury or work comp matters to consider the gartner law firm. I had Brian Bolves for an Eminent Domain case in Naples. He ignored my emails and kept my funds illegally in his escrow account ..TWICE!! He nor his assistant would reply to my emails even as I told him I would give him a one star review and write a complaint to the Florida Bar. He won't provide the necessary paperwork so i can file taxes so I have to get it from the County Attorney. I forwarded the emails I sent him to his assistant and the ones I sent to the assistant to Brian trying to get some response, No luck! Fortunately the County paid him.

We hired him based on a recommendation, but he never physically attended court. Instead, he would only appear via Zoom, often with short notice. He would inform the client on the morning of the hearing, without providing any explanation for not being present in court. This lack of support made the client look unfavorable in front of the court. Despite the high cost of his services, the client had trust in him. However, this experience has left our family feeling like our loved one is alone without any support. While we appreciate the friendly receptionist, we can only give a rating of 2 stars based on the overall experience.

My wife and I hired Mr. Molina for my wife’s immigration process. He charged us multiple times for different things and we received nothing. While we know the immigration process is lengthy and there are different processes but we have since found out that he did not do anything for my case aside from take our money.
Do not recommend him to anyone for any issue they are trying to get resolved.
