I have used Mr. Peterson as my attorney for child custody and child support for about the last 7 years. He has represented me each time I have found myself back in court. Over the years he has always been very pleasant to deal with. He does not only treat you with respect, but he treats you like a friend. He won’t steer you wrong, he won’t give you false hope, he will be very straight forward and tell you what to expect. He will always be realistic with you and explain what the laws allow and don’t allow, even if it’s something you won’t agree with. Even with his own personal life, he still has always reached out and informed me of what’s going on.
It is never fun finding yourself going to court, regardless of the situation. Mr. Peterson has always taken the stress off my shoulders. In my honest opinion, he is worth every penny spent.

Kent Barker handled a personal injury case for my partner involving a dog bite that tore my partner’s rotator cuff and resulted in needed surgery which caused lost time at work, and many medical bills from hospital and physical therapy.
Kent was able to negotiate a settlement on our behalf that not only paid the Medicare expenses but also our bills and covered lost wages
We would not have been so lucky or successful in this pursuit without Kent’s assistance.

The attorneys may be great but the intake department is unprofessional. How is the attorney supposed to make an informed decision on my case when I'm cut off explaining my case and she wanted to give the attorneys ¼ of the story and expect them to make a decision based off that. Find another place that your not a number.

I had a terrible experience with Camille Crandall at Hicks Crandall Juhl, P.C. Her handling of my case was deeply flawed, leading to significant financial losses. Camille failed to secure an updated appraisal for a major asset, causing it to be grossly undervalued during my divorce proceedings. This oversight resulted in me losing a substantial amount of money. Additionally, her inadequate representation led to an unrealistic and excessive financial burden for me. When I sought accountability, I was met with threats and baseless accusations from her firm. I strongly advise against hiring Camille Crandall if you want competent and ethical legal representation. My experience with her has been a costly mistake.

There's a lot more I could say about Attorney Oraif, but there's not enough room here. She is my SHERO! She took my divorce case at the last minute and finished it. The first set of lawyers failed me, and I lost faith in the justice system. Attorney Oraif came highly recommended, and she worked with me, opposing counsel, the judge, and the mediator, and although the outcome is "bittersweet," I am very pleased. If their was a option for no stars I would put it!! HIGHLY RECOMEND NOT USING THEM! They are highly unprofessional! Emily is not sympathetic to my case. This should have been a very easy cut and dry case! The GAL has even stepped in on multiple occasions to defend me and my son. As being the mom who has taken care of her son almost 10 years all by herself. Wasn't getting much positivity from Emily. I will say Nick her ex Assistant was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! He was very kind, understood my situation, was very empathetic to my case and did everything in a timely manner. He even gave me words of encouragement telling me I am a great mom. As for Emily I will not refer anyone to her . She did not fight for me especially the way she should have. I didn't even get child support nor 10 years of back paid child support which should have been done. Every time I asked she kept pushing me of and saying it will be done by the end of the day and never was filed which should have been the first thing she should have done!

My brother hired this firm to handle his divorce. From the very beginning it was a bad decision. The first hearing was handled by an attorney in their office he had never even spoken to before, the guy showed up minutes before the hearing unprepared causing the need for another hearing. He then showed up at this hearing with all of the documentation needed to fix his original blunder, which by the way my brother paid for by needing to have another hearing which they charged him for. He proceeded thru this hearing and totally forgot to speak on one of the reasons he was there and the judge made her judgement leaving an order in place that should’ve never been. So another hearing was needed which again they charged him for. Time after time throughout the divorce they have dropped the ball, too many to list in this review. Long story shorter he ended up paying them over $30k and had a balance of $4k with an agreement he was paying. They decided to drop him as a client with less than a month to go before the final trial leaving him without an attorney knowing it would cost no less than $10k to get another. I’ve never been around a bigger group of blood sucking vultures in my life.

I hired attorney Kathleen Hessel to help me with a contempt hearing. From the start, Ms. Hessel was not looking out for my best interests. She did not offer concrete steps I could take. I had to require her to take my offers to the other side. I was able to do that myself. It was a complete waste of money for me to hire this law firm.

If I could give negative stars of Bruce A. Mandel, I would!
Issues include:
- A crucial missed deadline, even though I supplied all necessary information 2 full days in advance.
- 2 more almost-missed deadlines. My counsel literally asked me to sign documents at 11pm twice, with midnight deadlines, even though I had supplied all requested information far in advance.
- Several unanswered emails, miscommunication and lack of communication for months.
- Bad advice from Bruce that almost cost me 50/50 custody of my son.
- Bruce was absent during the only scheduled court hearing we had, and it was not caused by an emergency, he simply booked 2 cases at the same time on the same date, even though he told me his calendar was clear on my scheduled court date.
- Extremely low quality work product in general, largely due to the constant last-second scrambling.
- Complete failure to follow-through on the things we discussed, and he even failed to execute a 50/50 Custody Order for more than 4 months after a judge ordered him to write up that order, and I reminded him multiple times!
- A massive misunderstanding regarding a 3rd court continuance, even though I emailed Bruce 4 times and called him once to make sure he understood the issues, he ended up making a massive blunder that essentially gave up our advantages entirely.
- Bruce finally illegally withdrew from the case while the case was still ongoing, resulting in extremely damaging client abandonment less than 24 hours before a scheduled call with opposing counsel.
I have filed a complaint with the CA State Bar, and demanded Arbitration of fees already. I am also in talks with a malpractice attorney, as I believe Bruce's failures to perform basic attorney functions have cost me more than just his fees at this point.
My advice is to run, not walk, to any family law attorney OTHER Than Bruce A Mandel.

My dad and I hired Gail to advocate for an OFP. We were on a low money and price seemed right. She showed up to court and pulled out nothing more than an empty yellow note pad. My ex-wife dropped all charges and for some reason we did not pursue a counterattack. We were able to combat allegations directly that day with perjury. Gail was visibly nervous. I noticed her fidgeting her pen and paper, and I had to speak up for myself on two occasions. The children ended up remaining with the ex-wife and 1 year later CPS had to get involved for their safety. I would not recommend this lawyer for loved ones.

Gail Mattey has been a phenomenal attorney in my divorce/domestic abuse/child custody situation. My children were with-held from me for over three months, and after a very stressful court hearing I was almost immediately able to pick them up from their father and bring them back home. She has been a godsend for me and my case. Gail is very down to earth, and easy to talk to. Although she is very kind and compassionate, she is a force to be reckoned with.

I was fully engaged with my daughter's case and helped her decide on Dawn's selection. This was an unpleasant domestic violence case, dealing with a completely adversarial husband who had 4 attorneys drop him. This caused frustration and a very long period of time. All through that time my daughter felt that she was in good hands and the final result proved it. Dawn was sensitive to her client's ordeal while providing logical and compliant advice and actions. Told him my expectations and my 4 issues. He was happy to charge me thousands of dollars to always seem to forget that there was more than just one thing to take care of. When I would ask about the other items that he assured me about, he would become condescending and short with me. Didn’t follow thru on the two most important items, and then hindered me from getting the job done myself. His secretary informed me that I could do something on my own to save money then Chris took it away and threw it into the court system which in turn foiled my almost completed task that would have netted me over 25,000 dollars. Now I have nothing but paper “judgements” when I could have gotten my own money . Would NOT answer direct questions and does not keep user friendly invoices to see where your money went. He DOES NOT answer your emails in a timely manner, if at all, yet charges for each email you send. DO NOT RECOMMEND

His website specifically says he is compassionate and will fight for you! My experience with Chris and Stacy is completely the opposite! If he doesnt feel like meeting with you he will absolutely NOT meet with you or take your call, period! It doesnt matter if you desperately need him. He beats to his own drum. By that I mean he will absolutely NOT inform you of all your legal rights, rather how he wants to control you as his client and the outcome of the case as he sees fit not according to your wishes even if its within your right! He will fight with you rather than for you, that was my personal experience. He was definitely not compassionate in my case whatsoever. I say that because he will threaten to withdraw when you are vulnerable and relying on him completely. He took advantage of me being vulnerable and ultimately settling just to get him out of my life. If you want someone that will hold your hand, he absolutely will definitely NOT do so. Ask him how many times he has been divorced before you ever think of hiring him. He had a absolutely no problem taking my money but NEVER fought for me like he fights for himself to get your money.

He never filed any motions on my case.After several attempts for a refund he never returned my calls or emails.l had to contact the State Bar of Texas. CAAP has sent him 3 letters and called his office.He did not respond. My next recourse was to file a grievance with the State Bar. This man in my opinion isn't honest!

I hired George Mackey to appeal my son's case. I had to find out the results of the appeal online. He never returns phone calls. The one time he did return a phone call, he told me to tell my son not to worry, that he will speak with the prosecutor and schedule a new court date. He never returned a phone call after that. Even when I begged him to call me back to tell me if he is has decided not to be my son's lawyer anymore, he still never returned my phone calls. I will be filing an official complaint.

Nicole was pawned off on me, for lack of better words, I went in thinking I was hiring Ms Whyte, and ended up with Miss Schmidt. She was rude through most of the process, and really did not listen, it was much easier for her to handle things in a cookie cutter fashion than to think outside the box. My biggest mistake was not getting a new attorney after our first day in court when she negotiated, I had very little involvement wirh that and was told it was only a preliminary and that we could get it changed later. Come to find out that is actually a very difficult feat. She prefers only contact through email. Once your case is finished, she mmakes it clear that she is no longer your attorney, you can rehire her for $300 an hour to ask her about your specifics about what was agreed upon in your negotiation. There's no information given on preparation for the future and in what instances you are entitled to make negotiations. Now I am paying an even steeper price by financial loss through her settling instead of fighting the fight and by hiring a new attorney to review and inform me of all that was agreed upon.

I hired this attorney for my divorce and property settlement. Information that I requested remain private was not kept private between this attorney and I. I fired her as my attorney because of things like this. I was given little to no feedback on questions I had about my property settlement and if she did , at times I was made to feel as though I was putting her out. I am sorry I ever chose to be represented by this attorney. When I asked for my refund and my file, she gave me the run around for a few weeks. Finally I had to call and then go in to the office and demand my refund. This became very frustrating and extremely uncomfortable. At one point I was told my refund was mailed to my new attorney which it was never shared with her office who my new council was. I do not recommend this attorney to anyone, very unprofessional and inconsistent!

Ann was able to negotiate and represent me exactly how you would want a family law attorney to. She didn't mess around and was tough but also lead me to make reasonable decisions and think clearly. Ann was great to work with and I would highly recommend her for any family law matter. She is very intelligent, knows family law well and was always responsive to me if I had questions or needed advice. If I left her a message or emailed her, she would get back to me within a very reasonable time period. I knew she had court appearances, other clients, etc. and would respond as soon as she was able to do so. I was very impressed with her skills in dealing with the opposing attorney and the Judge. She was respectful of them, yet asserted herself if the need arose. It appeared that she was well respected in the legal community. I would highly recommend her to any one with a family law matter and definitely would use her again if I needed a family law attorney.

Like the comment below, he was not worth what I paid. He often required that I wait way too long for responses to emails and calls and clearly was always preoccupied by somethings. Divorcing my wife cost way more than it should have.

I have hired this attorney twice. Both times he was efficient and won my cases. I did not hesitate to pay for his work. He seems to know the system and those that work in the system. I appreciated his honesty in evaluating the possibilities before going into the courtroom. He appeared in the courtroom on time and did not draw out his fees like other lawyers. He did not talk to me like I was uneducated. The process was as good as it could have been under the circumstances.

He took on my case and stood in my place to straighten out issues I had started without an attorney. I'm still working with him and he's become a friend of mine in the process.
Somethings I wish would have moved faster but in hindsight I'm lucky they didn't as a whole new world of options have since presented themselves.
The reason for the 5 stars is he opened up to me on why we haven't moved faster on a certain issue and I really doubt another lawyer would've told me what he did.
When the time comes he'll stomp all over the opposing parties. People have to remember things usually don't go as quick as you'd like.
I'm sticking with him and have more things in the fire that will come his way.

I hired this person to protect me in my divorce. It was my house before marriage so I owned it. Ex wife even agreed. He tells me if I will sell my house to my ex he will forego his bill. I sign a quitclaim he says she needs for financing. She goes same day and registered it. I come home my ex is moving in and police make me leave. I could not get work I did on computer for payment out of my house. It's been 2 months since divorce final. I'm still not paid, I'm now homeless living in car, I am disabled and had been unemployed for 2 years. I cannot tell you how much money he has cost me and has left me in worse condition I've ever been in. Would never return phone call or text, he emailed me twice, Now he has lien on monies due me. He's a class act. Before I fired him, I called him 5x in about an hour, no answer. My friend says use my phone. He answered, surprised that i was on the phone. This being 3 weeks with no communication from him and my being kicked out of house. My car got repo. You have been warned.

This woman is fake as can be. I have never met anyone so unprofessional in my life. She sent me text messages attacking my character. Telling me I will be found guilty because I called her out for ignoring me, rather then TELLING ME SHE ISN'T INTERESTED!!!!
She will tell you what you want to hear, then ignore you. I wish I can post text messages on here, so you can see what she calls "abusive" and "Constant" All I ever got from her were "I'll call you back" texts, only to never be called back. Now you have MULTIPLE people saying the same thing about her! Shes a fraud! Beware!!!!

Not only would I recommend this attorney, I have recommended this attorney. I went through a very difficult divorce and Mr. Stubbs kept me inform, kept on top of everything and kept me calm. His staff was friendly and comforting. He would not be bullied by my ex-husband's team of attorneys and in the end I recieved a larger settlement than I had asked for in the beginning. He was always concerned about watching my finances and how I was emotionally. Would I recommend this attorney, 100% yes. And would trust his recommendation if I needed an attorney in another field. I hired Mr Stubbs to handle my divorce. I can not say enough how happy I was with his service. I have read the prior review that states Mr Stubbs is a non responsive attorney. I can not disagree more! Mr Stubbs was NEVER unresponsive to my calls or emails. In fact, he would often respond to my emails after hours from his personal email account. He was very empathetic to my case and situation, and always steered me in the right direction. He is not intimidated easily, as he has many years backing his knowledge and experience. I went in and out of the courts all by myself with no luck for 2 years. Served her several times and even though the mother never showed up, things didn’t change. They FINALLY helped me get custody but by the time I got it, it was too late. Mother took my daughter who knows where. Detectives are still looking for them. It’s been over 14 years since I have seen her. The family court system is broken, you really DO need someone by your side with experience navigating it. I only wish I knew about them and called earlier. Maybe I could have gotten custody before she disappeared. And they did it all for free.

As if it wasn't hard already being a victim of domestic violence, there Levitt & Quinn is to make it an even more grueling process. I applied for help over a month prior to my final court hearing. After jumping through many hoops: 1) traveling to and applying directly at the office 2) submitting additional paperwork that took much effort to collect detail behind 3) several delays in correspondence from L&Q and 4) needing to spend money on requested documentation, I wasn't able to even land a consultation. They were misleading with hope throughout the process. They could've told me "we are unable to help at this time," which would've sufficed instead of wasting the time and energy of someone who is already suffering.
