Having decided to rewrite my will, I had to find a qualified attorney. After asking around and not finding anyone, I went online to look up lawyers in my area and read reviews. There were several that sounded good but either didn’t take the time to call me or requested that I make an appointment at $300 an hour.
Jay Fox was very gracious. He called me within an hour or two and we talked for maybe 20 minutes to a half hour. He assured me that he didn’t charge for this initial consultation, only if I decided to enlist his services.
He was so helpful and detail oriented, unlike me. He thought of everything that I didn’t. He turned an unpleasant chore into a satisfying outcome.
I highly recommend this man.

Mark has been excellent representing me and my wife on our fire victim claim that ravaged our home and lives from the "Camp Fire" disaster. We actually had other lawyers, firms, before finding Mark who personally works our ongoing fire victims claim. We stayed with Mark, and his firm, because he cares and follows through, stays in touch, listens, gets things done with great results after others had done nothing in comparison. The great thing about Mark is how he always finds time, he as well as his delegating to his staff, to reply to our emails and calls when we seek feedback or advice on our claim. So many lawyers just cut off all communication and let your case solve itself, even doing so without care for larger social issues that impact their case. Compared to several good lawyers and firms we have dealt with throughout life we put Mark in the top 2 %, if not the very top lawyer, especially when considering the nature of our claim, how devastating our losses were, his understanding of that and how to legally represent us to keep our winning case moving forward. The fire victims still have some way to go till the whole matter is finalized, and that takes real endurance and dedication on the part of any attorney. So, we are thankful to have Mark there for us to see everything through to the best end possible. Not too long ago, some of the businesses in my community had barriers in their facilities which excluded people, like myself, with disabilities (mobility impairments) from accessing goods and services.
After contacting, consulting, and hiring Mark, positive results soon followed: those shameful barriers of exclusion, which had existed for years, came tumbling down as they were removed by the business owners.
Thanks to the many ADA betterments, which were executed as a direct result of the settlements negotiated by Mark, I am able to live more independently and to participate more actively in my community. My family and I now have more location options where we can shop or get services in an accessible manner. I feel, thanks to Mark and his Team, that I, never again, have to put up with being excluded from everyday activities, such as shopping at a corner store, going to a neighborhood restaurant or movie with family and friends, or using the swimming pool at a hotel on our family vacation. In my community, the action taken by Mark and his Team has truly resulted in a reduction of discrimination against people with disabilities and has opened doors for full participation in all aspects of everyday life for me and my family.

Did you hear the one about the lawyer that you can actually like? I didn't think so. Well, probably because you have not heard of Mark Potter and his incredible team. Lots of lawyers claim to be fighting for you, but most all of them are just fighting to get some extra padding in their wallet. Mark, being an ADA lawyer is out to fight the good fight with his clients in making an ignorant and inaccessible world more aware and accessible. Sure, the Americans With Disabilities Act was written with the intention of making America accessible for all, but the follow through and observance of the stipulations have been slow, if not completely lacking. Yes, the Department of Justice has a wing set up to handle complaints about entities, but they are so overburdened and understaffed they fail miserably. I have tried going the “civil” and more conservative route of utilizing the Departments complaint process, but to no avail. I had even been told by a representative that I may want to contact a lawyer, because the way the law was set up, real change will only happen with legal action. This is where Mark and his team come in because they know the law backwards and forwards and keep up with all the new changes and precedent setting cases so that your case case receives the most thorough research to obtain the best result, for you and everyone else who needs to access the entity. Mark and his office are extremely responsive, and I almost always receive an immediate if not instant response to any of my inquiries. We hired Kellen’s firm to apply for Medicaid for Mom to receive long term care in a nursing home. We were given “ homework “ before our first meeting, which helped us to begin collecting the necessary paperwork. For example, we had to go the courthouse to obtain certified legal documents.
When a loved one is slightly over the cap in income, qualifying for Medicaid can be daunting. Kellen’s firm saved us from completing the lengthy and tedious Medicaid form and from making costly mistakes in qualifying for this benefit.
The first consultation with Kellen was eye-opening. He busted many Medicaid myths! I also watched the pertinent videos on the website. We should have come to him a couple of years ago when Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
Kellen and his paralegal specialist, Christian, made the process understandable with handouts and flowcharts. They were familiar with the staff of the nursing home we selected, and kept us apprised of the application status.

At some point in your life you will most likely need a lawyer's services and where do you go searching - the internet of course as most of us don't want share our need with friends/family so that's where the confusing part begins - who to select, who to trust, who can we afford, do we really need them. Some of us will see that big attorney commercial and call and become a billable number - been there done that before as well. Who do you think is paying for that commercial and big office and big staff - you are!
I was referred to Natalie by 2 separate friends (not in the same friend group who I actually shared my situation with). I am glad I called and followed their recommendation.
She is a small boutique attorney that takes her time to help and guide you through your legal needs. You want just be another client, you will be her client. You may make a new friend in the process. She takes each case and personally involves herself to fight the fight for your legal rights.

Best attorney ever! I had a horrible experience with my hoa not releasing old liens and double billing during litigation. We went back and forth for 13 years until I hired Jonathan Dessaules as my hoa attorney within 2 months my liens were released and my ledger was zero. I highly recommend any issues you may have with your hoa hire him do not try to fight on your own the laws are easily mis leading hard to understand he knew every law Jonathan was able explain why it was not right to me and he was able to have it cleared up fast. I had an almost 6000 ledger go to zero for my family to truly start fresh! I wish I found him in 2010 would have saved me so much more.

Our HOA sued us over our addition due to a setback violation. We had never had to retain a lawyer before in our lives and suddenly we were in a panic.
We contacted Jon Dessaules from Dessaules Law Group and from the first conversation we knew we had come to the right place. Jon knew from experience the possible outcomes and walked us through what would most likely happen. Before our initial conversation, Jon took the time to review the facts about the case and various documents we had provided.

Received a judgement for a credit card l defaulted on over 10 years ago, they were going to take 25% of my wages by garnishing my paychecks. Over the years I avoided the paperwork and didn’t have the money to pay it off. Looking all over the internet for a local consumer attorney to guide me through this situation. While l was reading reviews l came across Mr. Fred Schwinn and just go in my car and drove over to his office. Upon my arrival Fred met me at the entrance and right away took me back to his office and looked up my case. Fred instructed me to go pick up some paperwork for him downtown, with paperwork in hand the next morning I was back in Fred’s office, sat down and discussed a few things with Fred and he, of course, just happened to know the collection agency that garnished my wages. Mike Ziegler and his team are simply awesome! I was sued by a debt collector and didn't really know what to do. The first two lawyers I reached out to were "too busy to take on the case" but I finally made contact with Ziegler Diamond on the morning of my court appearance. He took over everything right away and went to court for me about 45 minutes after taking the case. In the end, he settled the debt for half of the total cost which is exactly what I asked for. It took a while to settle our case; however, Natalie kept us positive by encouraging us to remain calm and let the things law of work. Boukzam Law was always just an email or phone call away which is an encouragement. Natalie knows how the system works as I recall, early on on she told us it could take a while and she was right. Mr. Nitzkin and his staff helped me with a credit report issue I was having. My inquiries to the reporting agency were met with either stoney silence or cursory replies that did not address the issue I was having. After Mr. Nitzkin took the case, the reporting agency agreed to fix my credit report to make it accurate, paid Mr. Nitzkin's fees, and paid statutory damages to me. My sole goal going into the case was to have my credit report accurately reflect my history so the money damages obtained were a bonus in my mind. Outstanding Service with an Excellent Outcome. If you need an Attorney – Adam is your guy. I had an issue with my new vehicle. The OEM was absolutely no help. Mr. Rothman is a Godsend. I reached out to the firm under the implication that my husband and I had a copyright infringement case. In hindsight, this was far from the truth. As a professional photographer whose work was infringed by a billion dollar company, I really struggled in finding someone to help me fight them. My first attorney was only interested in how much money he could make from me. I was ready to give up and then, by just a fluke, I found Joel Rothman.
Joel has always been so patient and easy to talk to. He is always available and extremely knowledgeable. And he is such a pleasure to work with.
And he works fast. Within four days of hiring him, he filed my lawsuit. I would have never been able to sue them without Joel. The other side was counting on me not being able to sue them and they were very surprised.
Not only did he make it easy for me to afford the ongoing expenses, at mediation he lowered his contingency so that I got a number that I was comfortable with. I dare anyone to find another attorney who would do that.
He is a great negotiator and always gave me the true pros and cons to guide my decisions. I know the lawyers for the company I was suing were not expecting my attorney to be so knowledgeable and experienced at what he does. It was always five of their attorneys against Joel. It did not go well for them.
I am so thankful and blessed that I found Joel. The bottom line is that he actually cares about artists and it shows in the way he conducts his business.
