We hired one of their attorneys to represent my brothers interests and had to provide a $20k retainer. She spent all but $1500 of that retainer in less than 3 months and only went to court once. Anything and everything was charged back which in researching other lawyers, is not normal practice unless the lawyer is performing the service. She ended up just telling us to give up everything my brother has here in the US because and I quote “you should just give it to her, she’s going to get it anyways”. Mind you my brother has a will that was dated after his marriage which does not mention his wife in any way. I would NOT recommend this firm and would instead look for a lawyer that will not charge you for opening mail and provide more sound advice other than “just give her everything”.

She told me she would fight my case, instead she bullied me into settling for an arrangement that I did not want, saying that I would likely lose custody if I didn't comply. It was quid quo pro, so basically she did next to nothing. If I knew this I would have never hired her!! She blamed me for not aborting my kids when I knew my ex was a horrible person. She neglected to call the motion for child support on the last court date. I had to do that on my own after the court case. Then ended up with $35 a week for two children as he had a lawyer and I did not. She lambasted me for my lifestyle and opinions. The last court date was erroneously filed as final judgement when we were supposed to come back for at least one more court date. Instead of correcting this, she concluded her services. Completely unprofessional and uncaring.

Mrs Evanko is representing my wife in a custody case, and before we decided to hire an attorney we felt the case was pretty cut and dry, but the father was constantly lying to the courts and other officials and it was becoming very frustrating to navigate the legal system while fighting his games. Attorney Evanko is a strong, dedicated, and professional attorney and she isn't letting him get away with it any more. My wife has a voice in the system now and for the first time in a very long time, things in the matter are finally progressing in a positive direction. Attorney Evanko has not only helped by representing my wife, she has also empowered her and made her feel hopeful about the outcome of the case for the first time. Attorney Evanko and her firm have very fair rates and payment plans which are so completely different from everything I have ever seen from any other attorney. She is not only an amazing attorney, but she is also quickly becoming a good personal contact for our family. I am looking into starting my JD degree in the next year or two and she is offering great advice and recommendations on working towards a legal career. Attorney Evanko is a different experience than I have ever had with any lawyers; from the very first moments we sat down with her for the consultation we could tell she was different. She is very family focused and oriented, and with her and the firm it doesn't seem like they are after money, you truly feel like they care more about helping people than getting rich. It is so comforting and reassuring to have that atmosphere to come to. Great firm and an amazing attorney. Anyone lucky enough to have Attorney Evanko represent them will quickly find out what we are talking about. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I have never met more incompetent people in my life. This office continually changed pricing on us through the closing process. Then we get a call a month and a half later stating that we owe extra money for taxes. Clearly they were just too lazy to check on what the taxes would actually be, and based it off of old numbers. So we sent them the check they asked for, and then i get a letter a week later stating I have to send the money to the town of New Milford now. The people Joe has working for him are absolutely incompetent, and its a JOKE. With so many real estate attorneys around I would use ANYONE else, and I fully plan to use someone else next time!

I was referred to Joseph Saffi when I purchased a home in Connecticut. I was advised he is the go-to guy for real estate in this area. We were involved in several deals which, for one reason or another did not go through. Joe was very helpful in tracking down information necessary to pursue all deals. He even asked some informative questions about a property we had put a bid in on which later had me realize I was getting into a bad deal. When we finally closed on our house, Joe was timely and professional, and very reasonably priced for all the work he did. Highly recommended.

Attorney Arel pretty much got me everything I was asking for and fought for me every single time when someone tried to convince/push me to give on something. She made this process so stressful free for me and so easy. I told her what I wanted and she made it happen. Her assistant, Jackie AMAZING also. These girls have a busy caseload yet ALWAYS made sure to get back to me and always made sure to keep what I wanted as top priority. Awesome Ladies. Will definitely be using Arel and her services in the future!!!

I was recommended this attorney by a friend and looked over the reviews on here. I saw someone say something about how she doesnt listen and try to make it seem like she didn't tell you something that she did tell you but I decided to go forth with retaining her. The initial consultation she seemed pleasant and concerned with getting me the best outcome in my case. Once I paid the initial retainer everything changed. When I would call looking for information regarding the case, I felt that I was being treated as a burden for bothering her. I get that she's the only attorney in her practice but at the same time if you do not have the bandwidth to take on multiple cases do not retain new clients and treat them as if they are not a priority. When we would have conversations she was very condescending. Material that I had provided for the case was ignored or claimed she never got it. She would make statements on one call and a few calls later claim she never said that. She would argue with me like I was the opposition instead of offering recommendations or solutions. The only reason that I am giving 3 stars is because she did help with some of the items I had asked for. If it wasn't for that I would definitely have left 1 star. I wish that these negative behaviors came out sooner than later so I could have retained a different counsel. Dealing with Attorney Rado made an already stressful situation even more stressful.

Attorney Rado and her staff from day one made me feel i was in the best hands for handling my criminal case. Attorney rado remained professional and intouch threw out my intire 2 year case. Attorney rado is truly a top notch Attorney. She handled my case with such care and devotion. Attorney rado and her team have fought for me to have a second chance, and I'm here today because of the law offices of rado. My family and I truly can't thank them enough, and there just isn't a high enough rating that would do her practice justice. 100% recommended.

Do not hire Attorney Danielle Rado! She is rude, unprofessional, condescending and simply does not care about you or your situation. She refused to answer questions throughout the process, and did not have any thought for me and the situation I was in. She is money hungry and only cares that she is paid at the end of the day, not that you receive a desirable outcome. She does not care or support women and children going through a divorce, it is clear she does not have any children of her own for the disregard she gave to mine. She left numerous nasty voicemails for me and always had a rude tone when speaking in person and over the phone.

I contacted Atty. Levin in April of 2023 regarding a matter. I chose her having friends, and relatives that know her as well as growing up with her family members. I received a text back a month later after speaking to her saying lets do this. I received texts on June 5, June 19, and July 14 saying she would contact me to meet. She was a no call no show on every scheduled meet. I was told after the last scheduled meet and blow she didn't deserve my response which was if I was blown off again it would be the last time and I would seek representation elsewhere. Atty Levin told me via text that day she would return my paperwork so I could seek representation elsewhere. It has been 22 days so far and I am still waiting for the paperwork. Text, calls, etc go unanswered. Hopefully others will have a better experience.

Jill was a very nice person and a pleasure to meet with when you were able to. She was very poor about getting back to you or returning calls, it could be weeks even months before hearing from her . I was Chad for things she said I wasn't going to be. She was a forgetful attorney and I did most of my own case work. In court she is a non aggressive attorney not helpful to your case she settles easy don't fight for you. Just not a tough art for these cases. I felt defeated way before the end. And I am still waiting for a follow up on a second part of 1 case called twice & emailed still no reply. I believe I've always treated her friendly, accommodating, polite. She is nice but I wouldn't go back sorry.

Olga was exceptional! Regarding William, he still lacks the maturity and common sense necessary for the profession. If you seek a lawyer who will truly advocate for your interests, I suggest looking elsewhere. Pay attention to the way he writes his emails, including his spelling errors. He appears nervous in front of the judge, showing no signs of having prepared adequately for his presentations. I could elaborate further, but I have already spent considerable time articulating these thoughts.

If I went on Avvo to check Attorney Amendola out I would of steered cleared of him. I came to him with a lawsuit in 2010 and met with him at his office and he never gave me a copy of our agreement which was my 1st mistake. Then I fired him after I learned from Avvo.com that he has been reprimanded and suspended multiple times. I kept up looking at my lawsuit and he still was taken it on when I checked my case in New Britain Courthouse. I then left him a message with a screenshot and a copy of the letter that stated he was fired. After about a year the lawsuit was about to be thrown out so I called him and spoke with him and told him to finish the rest of the lawsuit and I didn’t want to deal with any funny stuff. He called me and said their was an offer of $4200.00 dollars for me which he didn’t tell me the entire amount. I then needed the money so I said ok. He sent papers over to me that I signed saying I would receive $4200.00 dollars. He then said over the phone that I could only get 2 grand of this money and he would explain later. Which he never did. He called me out of the blue and told me to meet me at his bank and he would give $2,000 dollars which I thought was odd since he didn’t show me the full amount he received from the insurance company but I believed him because he was the attorney and I was desperate for money to pay bills. I met him at his bank and then went in with my brother and him and he wrote 2 checks from him to me and he had me sign them which came out to $2,000.00 dollars. After speaking with other lawyers I began to send him emails that I have kept and printed in case anything ever came up. I told him he needed to give me the other $2,200.00 dollars unless he can tell me why he kept the money and what he paid with the money for. He aleways say he would never steal money from a client then I brought up he was suspended and reprimanded on Avvo multiple times and I wanted my money or I was gonna report him. After 20 Something messages and I told him I would never stop calling and messaging him unless he gave me the rest of my lawsuit which I ask him for copies of which he would not give me so aI said I started the process to report him and told him was it worth $2,200.00 dollars for his license and I told him I have kept every email that I sent and he replied. He then told me after 6 months of doing sending him emails and multiple calls which he would never answer and have another person call me to ask me to come in then I would get an email saying that he was going out of town that day. Figures right. I written him an email about the case and how he made me meet him at his bank and no other lawyer would do that and also brought up the fact that I didn’t get or see any paperwork stating the money he received from the opposing attorney for the insurance company and I needed to see it all or I was going to file with the grievance committee. Two days later he sent an email stating he was going to send the rest of my money which was $2,500.00 dollars and I did receive this money but never knew the exact amount we received from the insurance company. I would never ever use this attorney for any type of lawsuit. After he sent the money I have never spoke to him again. I half a 3 inch stack of emails from me to him and his responses which he never will actually say anything incriminating but I not knowing how this process works he took full advantage of me. I finally was able to receive this money through a bankers check which I made copies of it since I couldn’t make copies of the checks he wrote at his bank which was 2 of them one for $1200.00 and the other for $800.00 dollars when the lawsuit said that I was to receive $4,500.00 dollars. Never ever use this lawyer unless you want to go through what I did. Read his Avvo profile first and you will see what he is about. Again his name is Adam Amendola which has an office in East Haven,CT.

The best thing I did was call John I had two cases my first offer was 2 years he got me off clean with out probation or time he is affordable and reliable. Last year in a other city I got a other charge that carry mandatory 2 to 5 he got me to walk again with out any probation or time case he took his time and did his homework and took my case to heart. A few years ago, John took my case for two felonies I was being charged with. He was not only an amazing lawyer, but an amazing friend. He explained to me every step of the case and guided me in what I needed to do in order to win my case. He recommended places to help with my alcohol abuse. He spoke to me like he would to a friend, maybe even family. I knew I was going to be alright with his explanation of everything. This case which included charges like assault and reckless driving was ultimately dismissed. The dismissal of these charges allowed for me to go back to school and more recently obtain my graduate degree!!!! Furthermore, more recently I hired him to help with a friend was wrongly accused. He did a phenomenal job with this case as well. Helping to get my friend a PTA from a 155,000 dollar bond!!! I strongly recommend attorney Bowdren. Not only is he good at what he does, he is befriendable, understanding, kind and caring! I feel like he is part of my family. I thank God for John because without him I do not believe that I would be where I am today! Hats off to you Attorney Bowdren! Excellent job!

Miss Levine is one of the nastiest most rudest people that I've ever met and she has no consideration for conflict of interest she represented my ex in a case and then she represented my kids she's gotten in my face multiple times telling me about myself and only taking the experience that she had with my ex and applying it to me if she was the last lawyer on Earth I would totally just throw myself to the wolves she is very biased and has no morals. If there was a way to give her less than one star I would but for this review sake because you have to give them at least one star that's what she's got buyer beware she may be cheap but she's not easy to handle and she will fight you to the end for what she thinks is right except for you're paying her so it's really you're supposed to give her your vision and she's supposed to make it happen please don't use her. This is one of the biggest warnings I can ever give somebody I don't want someone that's really in need as it says on her website she tries to help people in need to get swindled by this con artist she has no boundaries.

Marcy Levine Law; She is the worst , she broken our contract and she needs more money for us!! Now she is trying to keeping my Resident Card !! She was calling me and calling my husband to tried to scared us !!! She is broken CT Law, I will start make a grievance to her!! Please don’t go with her! She is not professional at all!!

Marcy billed us an hour every time, for coming to her house to pay her, she breached her contract by not attending our interview that we waited almost a year for, because she was going to be on vacation that day. We had to fire her because of how unprofessional she was. We hired a new attorney that was able to attend our interview.In the mean time Marcy gave our new attorney issues forwarding our case over, and the case she prepared was a complete mess. Our new attorney asked if this was her first case! After the interview, immigration sent our documents to Levine Law instead of our new attorney, and Marcy is basically stealing the documents. She’s refusing to send them to us. We even went to the Waterford police department about this and she admitted to the officer on the phone she had possession of the documents, but told him you can come knock and I will not answer the door. Is this what you expect from a professional attorney? Or the actions of a 12 year old? I think the latter! Save your money, which I will say her price was 3k more than our new attorney would have charged us from the beginning. I highly recommend finding anyone but Levine Law to help you with any legal matter you have.

HORRIBLE. RUN WHILE YOU CAN. If you want to lose a legal case this is your guy. Extremely unprofessional, unorganized, and not competent in legal knowledge. He will lose your paperwork, documentation, and lose track of court dates. Not sure how he passed the bar. Avoid at all cost.

If I could give zero or negative stars as a rating, I would. Avoid at all cost. James the is completely unprofessional, unorganized, and provides poor quality in legal services. If you want to lose a case, money, and legal remedy to any legal situation this is your guy. Run and find a competent and suitable attorney as soon as you can.. My personal experience was horrible and I would not recommend. Overall piss poor legal service. He will miss every court date, deadline, and your files and paperwork will always be missing. Unorganized and unprofessional. He also lies about his legal competency. You've been warned!

As a recent widow in my 70's I had very little experience dealing with contractors. When I needed a contractor to replace a boiler I hired someone who professed to have knowledge of this type of work. Unfortunately he took advantage of my circumstance and was not knowledgeable at all. A simple job took weeks. I paid him in full thinking the job was done correctly. I had to hire a new contractor to replace the unit that was only a year old and installed incorrectly. I contacted Patty who advised me I had been subjected to elder abuse and she took the ball from there and was able to get me reimbursed for what I paid. I will be forever grateful. Linda

I retained Fatima for modification of some of my divorce orders and she was fantastic to work with. She's smart, professional, and a true advocate. She laid out my requests, the evidence and our case very concisely to the judge, and argued for even more than I had walked into her office looking for. It was a very successful hearing and I could not have been happier with her work.

During a lengthy divorce process where my ex-wife’s attorney toyed with my first attorney, I decided to transition to Fatima. After several friends and business colleagues suggested her, Fatima spent the appropriate time educating me about certain decisions and the potential repercussions. Two days prior to the schedule trial date, while meeting with my soon to be ex-wife and her attorney, Fatima was assertive and able to negotiate the final divorce conditions and I was very satisfied. Fatima is personable, very knowledgeable, humorous and completely committed to clients she represents. I continue to seek legal counsel from Fatima and her amazing team and will do so moving forward.

Attorney Lobo knows how to get the job done, she is no nonsense, and straight to the point. She also knows how to protect what is really your property and assets even in a marriage. She is all about the money and not the best interest of the child. She will bill and bill for work not done! Kids hated going to her office, doesn't like when you write a check to her law office, wanted cash then I realized I was stupid I did money orders, she wanted it made out to HER, not her law office. Fishy! I finally got her removed from my case after years!

Steer clear of Rhonda. All she wants to do is sit in family court and bill hours on end. She is supposed to represent my child whom she does not interact with, she doesn't take recommendations from the therapist, she isn't willing to discuss her own recommendations, and frankly she just doesn't know the best interest of a child. Oh, but wants to be paid yesterday! She is somehow simultaneously useless and obstinate. The worst excuse of a professional ever.

This attorney backed out of representing me the DAY before my hearing, leaving no chance of me finding anyone else, AND after promising to return my retainer, cashed it...$1,000 to leave me stranded..I will be contacting the bar association next!

With it now almost 2 years since my divorce, I thought my anger and disappointment, in Maria's handling of my divorce had dissipated. I recently drove by Attorney Chiarelli 's Office location and I felt the anger and disappointment once again. I had been referred to her, when my Mediated divorce was stopped by my now ex-Husband at the Courthouse! At my initial visit, Maria asked me why I had signed the initial mediated agreement? Well, she had been briefed by that Attorney and she was told how very, very difficult my ex was to deal with!! She was to find out how it was.After a year of, him having different Lawyers, multiple canceled Hearings, we were finally going finalize the Divorce. Over this time I compiled every single thing that was asked of me. Meanwhile, my ex had 2 arrests and I was issued, first a restraning Order, then a Protective Order. Maria just kept telling me to deal with that, with the Police. Her Para kept telling me, Maria has you, don't worry! Well, I met with her, the Friday before our Court date and went through all the financial statements and the tens of thousands I spent on improving his home. When we finished, she said you may have to compromise, I said sure, then she hit me with, she was going to use the original Mediated agreement!!! Obviously I wasn't happy, after what I'd been through the past year ect. Over that weekend, I had multiple texts from my soon to be ex, I emailed her Para, that I was concerned that if I went through with the divorce, I no longer had any legal stance. Within a short time, I received a email from Maria, she was threatening to tell the Judge, she wanted off my case, for being abusive to her and her staff. She was condescending and antagonistic. I have never ever been anything of the sort, to her or anyone else! I was truly hurt, confused and angry, that she turned on me, because of my husband. He, definitely had mental health issues and I know his Attorneys quit, because of his difficulties. However, $5,000 may not seem like alot to some, and divorces can be expensive, Maria hardly did anything for that, she actually used the actual Mediated Agreement, and just changed the dates!!! Even after, when during the Pandemic, I asked her to get a copy of the Divorce, she told me to do it myself. When I asked if she could get me the title of a car , from his Attorney, she gave me that Attorney's phone number. When I called that office, they said she hadn't even returned their phone calls! Anyone who knows me, will tell you, I am so easy going and certainly not abusive to anyone. The morning of the Court appearance she text me, be there by 9. I sat in the hall with a friend and sobbed, I was so embarrassed and sad, that she did this to me. My ex, wasn't even there because they were afraid of his behavior. I felt so disappointed in how I was treated by Maria, not because of anything I did or didn't do, but because of my ex! I have never ever had anyone treat me this way. Maria assisted me with my divorce, which was a very painful time in life. My situation was very complicated and not only was my future financial situation at risk but the safety and well being of my children. She was with us every step of the way and explained everything so I was prepared to handle the process. Divorce is never easy but I could not imagine going through it with anyone else. I would highly recommend her to anyone who finds themselves in this unfortunate situation.

I was extremely disappointed in Maria's lack of follow up and communication . I did not feel she was advocating on my behalf but was interested in prolonging a painful process instead. Her communications with me as , I attemptefto get status updates, were condescending and extremely unprofessional. Her antagonistic posture was not helpful in court discussions ,or with me as her client , and did not produce any result other than prolonging the case. Not every delay was a direct result of Maria but I do not feel she advocated effectively to bring any type of resolution. Thankfully after I made the decision to seek out new counsel I was able to get the ongoing battle resolved and closed in less than 3 months. Which was a great relief after 16 months of no progress at all.

The guy is a joke. Does the absolute bare minimum to collect a check. Not willing to do any leg work, something a good attorney would do for you, but will certainly charge you for his time when discussing YOUR findings. I feel like I’m an attorney at this point since I’ve had to do more for my case then he has. Having simple requests granted in court by a judge is like pulling teeth and that’s if you can even get him to try. I was under the impression that when you hire an attorney you have someone in your corner willing to fight for you, instead I feel as though I’m fighting this battle alone against their attorney and my own. I now am forced to find another attorney half way through my case to try to save as much as I can, but not without spending plenty of money beforehand on this “lawyer”. Anyone considering him may want to get several other opinions before hiring. He talks a good game when you originally speak to him, but soon as you give him a retainer and has to do some work, watch your case fall apart. Very disappointed with this choice, so many better out there for the same money.

However, over the course of several months, it became evident that Mr. Bennett lacked the requisite experience and proficiency to effectively navigate my case. I had a consultation with Alejandro J Martínez. I waited 45 minutes for him to arrive. When he did arrive, he told me to “make it quick, because he has more important things to do.” He asked me to explain my issue and when I did, he was texting on his phone. He even answered a call and seemed to be cursing some lady out in Spanish. I thought it was very rude he made me wait almost 1 hour and then told me I had to hurry up! His advice was very general. It wasn’t with the fortune I paid for his consultation fee. I would DEFINITELY not recommend this inconsiderate, cocky guy. There are so many other lawyers out there to choose from!

Minimal document review and 15 minute phone call cost over $1000. Recommend calling around and getting up front cost estimate. Learned afterwards that there are other attorneys who charge flat fees while he charges hourly rates.

He was very knowledgeable about what laws are out there and the the way the laws work (Not every lawyer automatically knows this stuff , especially if it is not something he would deal with often.) He required 2 one hour sessions for a simple will, health care proxy etc. the time was mostly spent telling stories about his family experience, felt mostly like he just wanted to drag out the hour so he could charge way too much for something I could have gotten from a kit. Many times during the sessions he had to look at his notes to remember my name.

You are better having no representation than Caryl Balskus. She is useless and will cave in at an instance, but charge you at top dollar, 1 minute rounded up to her 20 minutes, 21 minutes rounded up to an hour. You will end up losing in litigation, while paying her more. Avoid her at all costs. Literally.

Grain of salt: this was my husband's lawyer in a no contest and previously amicable divorce. I was never notified of any court appearances. If this lawyer had actually done what said she would do, there would be no issue. But either inept or a straight up liar, she went against my express wishes, never redid the paperwork, and incorporated lies. Cost for me to undo it will be $1500. Plus, she actually caused a delay in the divorce, made tons of extra secret motions to get more money from my stupid ex husband.

I hired phillip spillane to represent me on a workmans comp case. He seemed more interested in settling my case than getting me the help i needed. I had to fire him and retain another attorney who actually had my best interest in mind not his. My new attorney was able to get me the corrective surgery I needed. BEWARE dont make the same mistake i made it could cost you, Not just money but pain as well.

My husband was detained by immigration. Koleci collected $20,000 in fees and NEVER EVEN FILED THE PAPERS !! He did not provide receipts and wanted fees only in cash. Finally got a new lawyer after 6 long months and my husband was released immediately to join me and our 2 young sons with refugee status.

Cathy Kohut does not measure up to professional standards in my book. The few times I had meetings with her - she was late. She charged me for time when she told personal stories. Overcharged me for emails and after I let her go - saw how many mistakes she had made. That's not a professional at all. Many times waiting days for a response to my emails as well. Answers were simply and short. She never explained the steps to me at all and when I questioned her, she didn't like that. I regret using her and she took advantage of my grief.
