Absolutely disappointing! I called for legal advice regarding a property investment instead I was flooded with personal opinions. Initially when I met Mr. Shapiro, I thought he was a nice guy however after my second verbal encounter with him, he revealed his true character. I am a young black female entrepreneur and Mr. Shapiro referred to people who use my strategy to invest in real estate as "bottom feeders." Absolutely horrifying, disheartening and unprofessional! He also made Trump references during our discussion after admitting that he did not know much about my method of investing. What makes this even worse is that he partners with the Bridgeport Neighborhood Trust which mostly serves families of color in the community. Bottom line, we as black entrepreneurs especially in the Bridgeport area have to stick together to invest in our city and push it forward towards its full potential in real estate because they really don't want us to win out here! Let us network with one another and form groups/partnerships to achieve financial success together as a community. There is plenty of untapped wealth in the Bridgeport area to go around. Let's build the future of Bridgeport together!

I hired Tim to represent me on a "gun possession" charge which was a BB Gun. My brother gave him the legal precedent to have the case thrown out and he never once scheduled a meeting with us. Did not return my calls or texts. Just went to court, got continuances, and told me see ya later. No strategy, No compassion, just out for the money.

We hired Tim to defend my case. His communication skills are awful. He barely returned any phone calls or texts. He left me in court alone with no representation. We asked multiple times for a sit down with Tim and got nothing. He never explained our case to us or sat down to investigate anything. Hire this man if you want to waste your money and end up hiring another lawyer anyway. We asked for some of our money back and he told us to get lost.

Beware of Matt J Costello a difficult attorney who: • Drags out cases by being unresponsive or intentionally antagonistic in his responses. • Adds fuel to the fire to extend cases and force litigation. • Seem to charge huge sums for little work or poor quality work. • Appears in court unprepared and he commands little respect from the court. • Abuses substances that diminish his abilities and effectiveness. • Treats everyone poorly including his clients.

This individual doesn't follow through on tasks. Comes unprepared trying to wing it in proceedings. Leaves the court more confused and his history of working for the state plays into him getting over 650 accused found guilty cases due to his contract with the government. Look at his case history never protected a client or defended them to a not guilty disposition. How incompetent characters like this are tolerated is beyond belief. Guess this is why attorneys get bad raps because nobody holds them accountable til now. See you Matt at the trial for your removal from the bar degenerate.

What can you say about a person that over SEVEN YEARS, NEVER returned a telephone call, NEVER answered a letter, NEVER answered an email, NEVER answered a fax, NEVER provided documentation that you asked for, NEVER corrected written or arithmetic mistakes, NEVER explained her actions or inactions on a matter and NEVER acted in even the most remotely professional matter? How about charging $250 per hour each month to pay a $20 telephone bill each month when a bookkeeper could be hired at 1/10 of that hourly rate? Or leaving furniture in storage for years irreparably damaging it because she was too indifferent to address it? But then there is also the intentional bill padding and bills that don't add up and that are never corrected. Then there is the complete indifference and refusal to call a next-of-kin to report a serious illness or stroke of a loved one, and then telling the nurse (who wants to call) that she doesn't have your telephone number, or telling the court that she doesn't have your mailing address (lying about it in the process). If that is not enough, how about losing a loved-ones will and completely ignoring your requests for information about her billing (and paying herself from the estate)? What about never actually visiting the client and then to resign to allow a more competent and responsive Attorney to serve the needs of a loved one and while completely refusing to communicate in any way for seven years with the next of kin? Well there is all this and so much more awaiting you if you consider hiring Ms. Stuckal. But she won't be honest enough to tell you. The real question is, why would you ever even consider hiring someone like this? Hopefully you won't! Your family members will thank you for it!

This attorney was referred to us by friends, thinking he would be reputable, this was not the case. It took years for Mr. Kulas to settle a car accident case. My husband was injured, and Mr. Kulas did not speak up for him at any point. My husband would have to retrieve all his medical records, insurance information, etc. When it was time for a Deposition, Mr. Kulas could not make it because he claimed he had family issues and this prolonged the case. When Mr. Kulas finally appeared in court, he did not defend my husband's medical bills and claims at all. Mr. Kulas took the side of the insurance company. My husband received less than what his medical bills amounted to, and this is due to Mr. Kulas not representing his client, he did not go above and beyond at any point and appeared to do nothing to represent his client. If you need a personal injury attorney, make sure you read reviews, and know if the attorney is willing to work in your best interest.

For more than 4 years our family has awaited the settlement of a relative decedant's estate, within the portion of uncontested, unclaimed accounts with the state treasury department. We have provided this attorney with information, have supported, have encouraged, have politely asked, and lately, prodded him to resolve this matter. We have all had to hire additonal attorneys to get him to do his job. He has acted in a careless, ineffective and unknowledgeable manner. He has not communicated adequately to any party involved, has not provided us with backup documentation, and used sorry excuses. He has raised more issues with his own credibility than one requires to cause serious doubt in his ability. He told a few of us "that we would have a hard time with getting our inheritance from the State Treasury dept, as they are using our money for other things". Every other laywer we have spoken to says this is impossible and a call to the state treasury dept. has confirmed this as well. Furthermore we have questions about the probate system and the way it works. We have asked the judge to remove this attorney as fiduciary fully knowing he has shown up to probate hearings without records, or even a pen, while one benificiary has made her way from Maine to CT for these monthly hearings. We have asked for permission to speak with the state regarding all claims, to this date this attorney has not fullfilled this request while we require his permission. This attorney has called attention to himself in negative ways, raising issues of competency and trust. We have been informed by our additional counsel that this simple matter regarding this estate could have been settled easily by any of us within an average 30 day period. The value of investmest opportunities we could have made on this money has been lost as well.

It has been a few years since the dissolution of my marriage (divorce). As time seems, as the expression goes, to have healed most wounds. I still reflect on the poor, unmotivated legal representation that Attorney Fiorentino provided me. As I've never been divorced before, this experience was quite foreign to me. I listened to Attorney Fiorentino intently and inspite of some in trepidation and my little voice telling me this attorney with whom I'm paying thousands of dollars to advocate and find a just and equitable resolution was an awful disappointment. I would highly encourage anyone looking for someone to stand in your corner to protect you and some of your assets, look elsewhere. This attorney didn't seem to care about this ordinary, everyday, run of the mill divorce and the client he was paid to represent.

Attorney Lewis has no clue about the law. Presently, under Executive Order 12D, a notice to quit requires 30 days and evidence a landlord applied for help to UniteCT. He sent a notice to quit with only seven days notice and no UniteCT registration number. Obviously he is either not actually informed in the law or purposefully wasting the money of his client as this will get dismissed before it even gets to court. The office staff is friendly, responsive and helpful. The facility is convenient and near the courthouse I was often at. Attorney Fiengo was often unprepared. Having barely a cursory understanding of the facts in my police report or in my case for the first couple of court appearances. He procrastinated horribly on several basic subpoenas. I got all the charges against me dropped. I guided my lawyer to every bit of evidence and then wound up project managing the legal process. On one occasion Attorney Fiengo arrived moments before I was supposed to enter the courtroom. He handed me a ~20 page report of cell tower records. Then he said, “Here... figure this out... it is in longitude and latitude. I need to speak to the States Attorney.” Then he left. Had he completed the subpoena when. Asked we would have had days or weeks to review the report. I had a very direct conversation with Attorney Fiengo regarding my expectations and concerns. It had minimal positive effect on our attorney/client interaction. During one particularly stressful patch Attorney Fiengo ducked my calls, emails and text messages for 11 days straight. I have many more specifics... but you get the point. This case never should have gone to court. I would like to think a skillful, responsive and motivated lawyer could have saved me and my support network hundreds and hundreds of hours of stress and worry. I had seven streams of evidence proving my innocence.

I was introduced to Frank by a prominent client. He was gracious enough to answer some basic legal questions about issues I was contending with, yet details matter! Not only did he waste months of my time with filing errors that he made per a basic claim wrong... His lack of attention to detail ended up with the payment for the matter being voided for being held up for over 100 days. All while answering personal calls during one of our consultations and on another occasion disregarding legitimate information per harassment as "paranoia" (his words) in a completely dishelved office space. I must say that this lawyer definitely takes a BIAS approach with women, and if you're looking into being fairly and equally represented especially in a criminal case... Say your prayers. I'd definitely recommend women clients in particular to go elsewhere, I'd be paranoid not to!

He allowed the defense to enter in a written phone message, that was fake, in order to taint my character. The message was fabricated, and he said, "there is nothing we can do about it". The article that led to this trial, was not admissable, while a workers compensation injury, was allowed, that was irrelevant. Had he gone through my medical records, he would have noticed, that this "trumped up" message, was non-existent. I paid for my records, and the "message" is not there. Hugh Keefe at the offices of Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante represented me and a group of students in a civil disobedience case. Prior to the civil disobedience, my family had recently entered into an emergency of housing insecurity, that meant the usual obstacles of not being able (things like transportation) to do something like community service were further heightened to the point of impossibility. He and his employees at the office did not offer us any alternatives to completing the community service, and told us that we would get misdemeanors if we didn't complete the community service. I was in New Haven with no parental supervision, during a school break in which we don't have housing or the meal plan. They also did not provide a method for us to actually clear the misdemeanors from our records -- they told us to complete community service, but they did not tell us what organizations that community service with would official count for the courts. I think this was very negligent.
