I worked with Mr. Michie to get my Reckless Driving case resolved and he helped me get the best outcome for my case. He convinced the judge to reduce the charge to speeding. He’s the best lawyer in the area. I will definitely use him again if I need a lawyer and I highly recommend people to use him if they need a lawyer for something. He’s an outstanding lawyer!

Ms. Paulding was engaged as co-counsel for two felony charges, the most serious of which carried a very long prison sentence. Through her efforts the most serious charge was discontinued and the other charge resulted in probation. This process took over two years. During that time Ms. Paulding kept my wife and me informed and assured us of a positive outcome. Throughout we had utmost confidence in her abilities. Ms. Paulding was always well prepared and in court I found her to be a most determined advocate. I could not have had better legal representation.

If I could vote 10 stars I would. 1/4/19 Friday morning I was googling different attorneys to find an attorney by 1/7/19 Monday. Ms.Paulding paralegal Ms. Mary Ann answered, I spoke to her about my situation. She left a detailed message for Ms. Paulding through out the day she called me giving be updates on when Ms Paulding would call. It was an very stressful time in my life and I felt like I was ready to give up. Ms. Mary gave me so much hope, that I stopped worrying. Very understanding ecouraging and I really appreciate Ms Mary for that. She told me sit tight Ms Paulding would get with me over the weekend. Me thinking they dont work on weekends well Ms Paulding called me on Sunday and was very informational,professional, knowledgeable about my situation. I felt at ease she even offered to come with me to my interview but the situation made it difficult due to her schedule. Ms. Paulding is hands down the BEST lawyer you can have. She is not only well experienced, reliable, with incredible analytical, research and communication skills, and judgment but also she is an amazing person who treats her clients with not only respect but the care you need when in an unfortunate legal matter. I saw myself in a situation where I needed a lawyer for a felony charge my ex-husband got on me. This charge affected my finances, employment, family relations and mental health in immeasurable ways. Mr. Kreitzer was hired by me for what I thought would be a short case. However, it’s lasted over a year (not by any fault of his) due to opposition dragging things on and on. Mr. Kreitzer was patient and kind. Absolutely knowledgeable and does not allow the other side to push you around and gave his best advisement regarding the circumstances every step of the way. Would absolutely recommend hiring him and would hire him every time!

Mr. Kreitzer demonstrates a very knowledgeable understanding of the law and the court systems in which he practices. In the courtroom, Mr. Kreitzer thought very quickly on his feet and delivered a very intelligent rebuttal against the opposing party’s testimony, where I have seen many other lawyers in the past freeze and fall apart. I reached out to Scott Perry to help evaluate a potential medical malpractice case. I was extremely impressed with his amiability, the depth of his knowledge, and his responsiveness to my questions. I consulted with a number of lawyers on the case and, unlike most of the others who didn't know when the statute of limitations would apply or what legal actions to pursue, Scott quickly understood the facts of the case, knew the relevant statutes, and gave me sound advice. In fact, with his experience, he actually knew some of the doctors involved and was familiar with how the particular insurance group handles malpractice cases. Overall, I had a positive experience working with Scott and would recommend consulting with him.

Joan Fine has been my lawyer since 2015. She has represented me on several issues. She represented me in legal action against a fraudulent building contractor with an outcome as good as possible under the circumstances. She has done real estate contracts and lease agreement work with me and I have been very pleased with the results. She saved my bacon on a 1031 exchange that would have gone wrong had she not double checked the work of the out of state attorney that handled the exchange in the other state. All and all, Joan has been a great lawyer and a good contact that knows who's who in the local community. I highly recommend Joan Fine for any legal work or information gathering concerning the local community.

I was unprepared when my loving wife of 44-years became terminally afflicted with metastasized brain cancer in January 2017. For the next 14-months I was her primary caregiver. We were both only focused of her recovery and never considered whether her 28-year-old hand-written Last Will and Testament from South Carolina, would be accepted in Virginia. When my wife died in February 2018, it was hard enough to deal with my loss but, this problem was made considerably worse when the Virginia Circuit Court would not accept her Will. I was informed that her death would need to be filed Intestate (without a Will) in accordance with Virginia State Law. I also had credit problems, so I was unable to secure a bond from a Bonding Agency to secure my wife's Estate and, therefore did not have the ability to receive payment from her Life Insurance policy. After talking with one Law Firm who wanted a retainer of $2500 to litigate my case, I continued to search for another attorney. I was referred to a Winchester attorney, Joan Fine, who wasted no time investigating my wife's Will at the Courthouse and resolved my legal matters in less than 3-days. I was greatly relieved to be named Executor to my wife's Estate without need of a Bonding Agency, and Joan Fine only minimally charged me for her actual time of 1-hour. Before my wife had become retired in 2014, she was a part-time paralegal who referred to most lawyers as “sharks”. However, I am grateful to have found Joan Fine -- an honest and exceptional Estate Attorney who put her client’s needs ahead of herself.

You didn't want to be here, reading divorce lawyer reviews. You're stressed and hurt. Used Elizabeth for a divorce. Always felt well represented, informed, and in very capable hands. Elizabeth was a terrific attorney for my divorce. She listened to my concerns, addressed every one of them, she answered emails promptly and ensured I saw drafts in a timely fashion. At the beginning of my process, we developed a timeline and she stuck right to it. Also, because my divorce was fairly uncomplicated and uncontested, the entire process came in under budget. While I certainly hope to never go through another divorce, I wouldn't hesitate to use Elizabeth again if the need arose. Highly Recommend!!

I began working with Donne in 2013, and he has been an amazing lawyer for my family. He is hard-working, smart, caring, and dedicated to his clients. Over the years, and through multiple custody cases, he has advocated for the interests of my family, both through attempts at negotiation, and when negotiation did not work, through adept litigating skills in the courtroom. Donne is well-known in the court system, and is able to adapt and mold his legal arguments to successfully win cases. In addition, he is also an honest and truthful man. He tells me what he honestly believes about the situation/case and what is realistic to expect as a result in the court system, and he doesn't shy away from saying that a particular road, which would give him hours of billable time, is not the best for our family. I sought the therapist's attorney recommendations because I wanted an attorney who had earned a stellar reputation for negotiating and writing divorce and custody agreements in the best interest of children, and I got that and much more when I hired Donne to represent me in my contested divorce in 2015-2016. My custody case was extremely complicated and contentious, and Donne did an outstanding job of navigating me through it. I worked with him and with his excellent paralegal, Margie Madsen, for a solid year. When I was researching attorneys and collecting recommendations, a high-powered attorney connected to a family member of mine sent her an email saying that his divorce attorney "was the best thing about my divorce." I would wholeheartedly say this about Donne and Margie. He was everything I wanted in an attorney--he's knowledgeable, an excellent negotiator, very good with the myriad details that divorce entails, always accessible, a terrific writer (he wrote all of the agreements for my divorce), and he represented me very well, in court, in documents, in emails, and in phone calls with my ex-husband's attorney. He's honest, ethical, easy to talk to, trustworthy, fair, and extremely hardworking. He worked through the night (and into the wee hours) when necessary when we got down to the wire negotiating my custody and property settlements with my ex-husband's attorney, and achieved excellent agreements that enabled my ex-husband and I to settle both matters out of court, without having to leave them up to a trial judge. These same agreements have helped me navigate challenges I've had with my ex-husband in the many months since our divorce was finalized. The agreements provide a solid foundation for me to refer to, and excellent boundaries for us to live within. I honestly can't think of any area in which Donne fell short of my needs or expectations. I feel very fortunate that he was able to take my case, as I could not imagine having had a better attorney to work with.

She is the best lawyer I have ever known in VA. At first I was so worried about having a record in my life. But after I talked to her, I felt so relieved. She is so nice that you could trust her at all. I had a case that driving 82/70 Mph in VA, which cause a Misdemeanor.. and an infraction for the expired license. The outcome is changing misdemeanor to infraction,no points, no record, no influence on the insurance, and the infraction is dismissed. All in all , she is deserve your trust!

Working with Tom Dunlap of Dunlap Bennett and Ludwig was a delightful experience. My husband and I needed to do estate planning, but didn't know where to begin. The first was dishonest and the second was from a firm that charged a high retainer and exorbitant hourly fees and then took days/weeks to return emails. Another victory and an exemplary proof that nothing can beat Ms. Kinsey. My ex-wife who attempted to obtain a restraining order against me based on false allegations, has faced a humiliating defeat, where the court quashed her request citing that the allegations were not 'Credible'. I first worked with Mr. Wells in 2012 when I met with him for a bankruptcy consultation. I was very apprehensive about the whole process but really had no choice so I hired him and moved foreward. In 2020, I was facing a Suspension and Debarment Case. The new was disheartening since I have had a successful military and contracting career with the Department of Defense and experience as enlisted within U.S. Navy, along with a history of winning awards and building a reputation of helping my local community. I relocated to work for a very large defense contractor, and I saw a lot of fraud and waste. I reported the incidents to Human Resources before I left the job, and I was placed on a PIP. My worker told me you will be punished for going to Human Resources, prior to reporting the incidents, the daily harassment and casual death threats in conversation that co-workers casually mentioned in front of management. I had a successful career at this defense contractor until I started alerting management and human resources about mis-mangement of funds and hardware and system use, and the dangerous comments made by coworkers. To my surprise Human Resources and my management were friends with each other, which led to backlash and retaliation about my terms of employment and false accusations waged towards me. I completed the terms of my employment, and I quit. One year later, the large defense contractor was working towards a proposed Suspension and Debarment notice stating I was a danger to the government. I searched many days for a lawyer, and I read about Ellis Bennett. He was nothing short of an angel, life saver, and career saver. I told him my story, and I provided him artifacts including the experience at the large defense contractor, and dates and times of my activities and projects completed there, along with the synopsis of the toxic environment; he took the time to listen and work with me, and I worked to help him with all the artifacts I kept of my daily experience on the job. It made a stressful and highly emotional time for me, easier to deal with me. Working with Ellis and his team made me feel as though I was his only client; he was efficient with his responses and always took the time to answer my questions. Alicia is professional and very responsive. Paul Mickelsen was my attorney for a reckless driving case. Words really can't describe the level of professionalism and expertise Attorney Wade possesses. I had a nightmare divorce/custody case that carried over from North Carolina for a total of four years. At the time I came in contact with Attorney Wade I was on my fourth lawyer and I spent almost 20k in legal fees. In time, I had become a "professional court testifier" and became very familiar with the legal process. I knew a good attorney when I saw one. I did my research and Attorney Wade had pedigree (which I heavily believe in) and I read several Washington Post articles that she was profiled in. I was impressed. When I had my first consult with Attorney Wade, I knew I struck gold. She was able to listen to my concerns, see the big picture, and she dissected 3 years of my litigation timeline in 45 mins.
