Dan was extremely successful in helping us in mediation with our school district. We have a son with special needs that was not being serviced appropriately in district. We initially exhausted all our own resources in attempting to get our son the most appropriate educational setting to meet his complex special needs. Unfortunately we had to hire an attorney. Dan stepped in on our behalf and ultimately helped us reach a settlement with the school district.
Dan was extremely knowledgeable as well as compassionate to us as clients. He really understands the complexity of children with special needs and what families face every day. Attorney Smith represented me for several years in an unfriendly corporation breakup which included, among other things, the disposition of Intellectual Property. He proved to be a quick study. We were opposed by a well known Boston law firm, now defunct. Better them than us. He brings a wealth of experience which lets him present you with a range of options, but he won't try to decide for you what you have to decide for yourself. Obviously, I was a happy client.

Cal is a not only a brilliant lawyer, he is also a kind and compassionate person. As a medical professional, it is my job to make sure that my patients receive the care that they need, and that the laws that protect patients rights are followed. When I reported HIPPA and consent to treat violations to my administration, I quickly found myself being retaliated against. I was forced to leave my job, one which I loved.
Cal is an excellent listener and advocate. He returns e-mails and phone calls promptly, and he never made me feel less than important. Steve is, without exaggeration, the very best. He is intelligent, professional, communicative, and approachable. He represented me in a wage claim and there was never a second where I wasn't absolutely sure the right steps were being taken. He is unafraid to take on the large and well funded firms in the city and is fully equipped to come out with a victory. Legal proceedings can often get messy and difficult but Steve was there for me with an even keeled temperament and prudent advice.
While Steve is more than capable of getting you the money you are owed he is even more efficient at righting wrongs. In a world of lawyers killing each other over nickels Steve actually cares about justice.
The suit took a long time but it ended in a great result. In sum, Steve Churchill is a great lawyer but an even better person.

Steve helped make the best of a bad situation in an employment wage claim I had. He was always available for any questions I had and I felt he genuinely cared. I have been a public school teacher for 30 years; it’s been my passion, my mission, my dream, and my life. I was stunned when, twelve years ago, a new principal came to my school and started to bully me with threats to my employment, false and distorted accusations, false claims on my evaluations, and routine hostile meetings during which I had to endure aggressive, irrational, and unrestrained hostility. The union helped me keep my job for all of those years, but eventually that support wore thin and so did I. Sadly, my story isn't special or unique; it's common among teachers. Everyone loves to say “Teachers should be paid more and respected more”. What people generally don’t know is that our worst abusers are the school administrators, and they usually get away with it.
By the time I found myself in Steve Churchill’s office, I was hanging onto my sanity by a thread, full of self-doubt, anger, confusion, fear, and heartbreak. I needed solid, compassionate, calm, articulate, and expert legal help. That’s exactly what Steve provided.

I don’t know what we would have done without Jason. My husband and I hired Jason to help us obtain guardianship for our disabled daughter who turned 18 years old this past December. I am the representative payee for my adult disabled son. After five years of my son being disabled and collecting disability, his Doctor and I received a form to fill out for a medical review to see if he was "still disabled." I filled this out perfectly describing my son's day to day life and impairments. Although I am a medical professional, obviously I did not do this as well as I perceived as just before Christmas 2014, we received a notice stating my son was no longer disabled and his disability payments would stop in two months. Social Security was not at all helpful and gave me the run around re: the appeal process. Sometimes Social Security employees were not nice or helpful. I knew we needed help. I researched disability attorneys and found Jason. All I can say is "Thank God." He met with both of us and asked questions about my son's disability and symptoms. My son and I provided all the answers to the review to him however Jason worded it in the manner that SSDI requires, unlike what I had done in the previous summer. He was kind, patient, and understanding. There were a few times when my emotions got the better of me, "How can they do this to us?" These were the times when Jason stood behind us and helped us stand on our own two feet. He directed us in following the instructions on the appeal as they are not easy to understand, Jason understood exactly what they were and explained them in a manner that was both understandable and helpful, never degrading. On May 6th of this year, I received the notice from disability stating that after reviewing all the information, they found my son to continue to be disabled, therefore there was no need for a hearing. Of course I would prefer my son to not be disabled. However it is what it is and I do not even want to think of how awful this denial could have been without Jason. I wish I had known him and used him to initially get disability for my son back in 2009 as that process was not pleasant and took three denials/appeals. I definitely could not have done this without his help! My husband and I are now going to be using Jason for estate planning and our wills.

Attorney Rittershaus is not only a rare find, but also a delight to work with. I first hired him in 2015, after I exhausted myself with the search for an attorney. When I first met him, I was overwhelmed by his warmth and graciousness, and after that with his dedication to my case, his skillfulness, understanding, and going more than an extra mile for me. Attorney and guardian Angel is golden combination, particularly when it comes to settlements that are not respected by one party. I trusted my ex-husband when it came to a divorce and went to a mediator with him. Hoooowever Ex-husbands with a new wife can have a tendency to not respect alimony settlement, that are done through only a mediator. That is particularly so, if they have their own company and can maneuver money around. Ethan produced exactly the result I wished for, even though the case ended up more difficult than originally expected, and my ex had hired an attorney who had far more years of experience than Attorney Rittershaus. My particular wish was to have the case conducted with love and respect. That was the main reason I was not able to hire another attorney. Well, I got all that I wished for and even more.
I hired attorney Rittershaus again recently, and he surprised me even more. I was not in the US and needed Documents in Germany, and I needed them fast. He did the impossible and in the most speedy manner. I also needed a letter stating a certain Law in the US. Attorney Rittershaus composed that letter with elegance, and in a most excellent manner. The letter was written as if he is both an American and a German Attorney. He provided even references in the German Law system, that corresponded to my Case! What was even more surprising, was the speedy manner in which the Documents arrived in spite of all the obstacles that the outbreak of Covit 19 brought about.
Now I am hiring again, for yet another case, and so very appreciative to have him as my attorney again.
I know the praise I sing for Attorney Rittershaus may be hard to believe. However, once you meet him in Person, you will see that I have hardly praised attorney Rittershaus Enough!

My daughter was born with a rare genetic disease in the second year of our visit to the United States. During the prenatal care, my wife was never given adequate and correct genetic counseling and never offered the proper test to identify my daughter’s problem. My daughter’s birth with this disease was a huge shock to me and my wife. Far away from our home country and all of our other family members, we knew nothing about my daughter’s disease and faced the huge challenge of caring for such a disable child, with almost no friends here… we were helpless and hopeless. We found Mr. Halstrom by chance when I searched online for legal help. He took our case when we first met. From that time on, Mr. Halstrom and the staff of Halstrom Law Offices have been not only providing all essential professional legal help for us, but also have been acting as our very reliable friends. They have been compassionate, confidential, and very respectful. They handled every single detail; collected everything essential for the case. My husband's PCP failed to diagnose my husband's lung cancer. When it was finally discovered, the cancer was advanced and considered stage IV and terminal.

Gary Zerola is by far the most knowledgeable, skilled and resourceful attorney I have encountered. Early on in my adult life I got in trouble and used court appointed lawyers or cheap inexperienced lawyers because I didn't know any better and had no money. Since then I haven't gotten into as much trouble but after some nights of drinking and bad decisions, I again needed a lawyer and a firefighter friend recommended Gary. I've used him that time and on multiple occasions since and without hesitation I would again. Once you meet him, you will realize that he truly cares about you and resolving whatever trouble you may have gotten yourself into. With no judgment either. He's just a compassionate guy. He explained everything to me in a way I could understand and made himself available for any questions or concerns I had 24/7, even giving me his personal cell number. I was facing very serious charges involving weapons as well as breaking and entry. I was facing very serious time for this. I had just gotten out of the Marines, and going through college and I knew this could ruin my future. I called a few offices, and Gary Zerola significantly stood out. I left him a voicemail, and he personally got back to me almost immediately. I was a completely wreck when I spoke to him, but after my initial consultation Mr.Zerola made me feel at ease and I knew something could be done. I wanted to fight this all the way, since the charges were completely false. He kept me in contact at all times with email or phone. He was very transparent with everything that was going on, and he was always just a phone call away. I had a few options on how to proceed, and I made the decision to take it to trial in front of a judge. Mr. Zerola did an excellent job with the case and proved that there was no case at all. My charges were completely dropped – no probation, not “dismissed”, the verdict was- NOT GUILTY. He was absolutely worth the investment, and thanks to him I was able to graduate college and get a great job instead of spending time in jail for false allegations.

first of all this was a crazy case that lasted 3 years with the twists and turns that a Hollywood movie couldn't write. I changed lawyers when I decided to go with Stephanie Perini-Hegarty. After seeing how well she explained things when I attended a conference that she spoke at, I felt I needed to have the CEO of my company meet her. I thought that it would be a hardsell to get him to change from having his attorney who was already in place and use Stephanie . However, I thought that it would be worth the try given that she has a natural act for making things that are complicated, simple for clients to understand, as opposed to how confused I felt when the previous attorney explained things and that is if the previous attorney was available. Part of the issue was that my wife and I were being a bit irrational and just wanted to avoid the topic. Jen made the process easy and painless, and a little fun. I found Josh when I was looking for someone to help defend my roommates and I's security deposit against a shifty landlord. Having never had to speak with a lawyer before I'd been intensely worried about the whole process and had lost a couple nights sleep leading up to meeting for the first time.
After getting to talk to him however, it seemed like all the stress of the situation melted away. He explained exactly how the whole small claims process works in simple terms, helped me walk through my documentation and all of our options, and listed the various outcomes we could expect.
We started the ball rolling and our landlord almost immediately folded and gave us back the sum of our deposit. Thought we had the option to try for triple damages, my roommates and I didn't want to pursue it, and Josh never pressured us in any direction.
Now the whole matter is resolved, and it was way easier than I'd been expecting. I hope I don't ever have to hire help to deal with a landlord again, but if I do, I'll most certainly come back and speak with Josh.
