If you are thinking of enrolling in Legalshield and are in Wisconsin, don't bother. By far the worst experience I have ever had with legal counsel.
Jaques Mann was condescending from the start. I spent an hour loading all the information into the legalshield system on what are needs were and what ADVICE we were looking for. He started the call by sending an automated text from legalshield saying I'd hear from an attorney shortly. He called 30 seconds later, with only 10 minutes left in the window I was given that they would call. (called at 1:50pm I was told I would hear from them between 11am and 2pm). He started the call asking what he could do for me and clearly had read none of the data I had posted. There was severe echo on the call which he blamed on me. He then proceeded he could only talk to my wife about the issue, even though at this point I was looking for advice, which all other attorneys I have spoken to about this issue were happy to provide me LEGAL ADVICE. Also, I had my wife next to me on speaker phone, but he wasn't listening to me at all. Condescending and refused to listen. He was probably annoyed he had to do a LegalShield "Consult" to begin with. Now they are deleting my Google Reviews, which I will simply keep reposting.
Net/net I was prepared to give them a retainer and contract them for their services based on LegalShield for a family matter, but my family needs someone who will listen and not condescend. We will be seeking a refund from LegalShield and looking for counsel elsewhere.

After all of the divorce dust has settled, I can't imagine having gone through this process without Sheila Romell. She provided me with excellent guidance and representation, and was always there to be my voice of reason amidst all of the emotions that often times occur during the divorce process. I am 100% certain that I faired better in this process having hired Sheila to represent me! The property division laws in Wisconsin can be unfair compared to some "at fault" states, in my opinion, and I truly believe Sheila protected me and my assets from an unfair or disproportionate division.
Some attorneys will stir the pot, or willingly fight over things, it seems. Not Sheila! On countless occasions, she reminded me that the "things" I wanted weren't always worth the cost of going after them, which I appreciated. Her goal always seemed to be the protection of my best interests, vs unnecessarily bantering with the opposing counsel in order to drive up a bill. That isn't to say that Sheila isn't a well respected attorney, or a fighter, if need be! She seemed to be very well known, and carried herself incredibly well.
Going into my "surprise" divorce, I was wondering how I could afford the legal fees, and whether I would come out in one piece. After the dust has settled, I now know that I couldn't afford NOT to hire Sheila, and am incredibly happy that I did!
I have nothing but good things to say about my representation by Sheila Romell. You hire an attorney for protection, amongst other things. I felt like a lamb going against a wolf in my divorce. Sheila was an excellent attorney to have by my side regarding my child relocating. From the first time I met with her she was very respectful, understanding and willing to help. The skills she has amazed me. Sheila was well prepared in the court room with organized paperwork and thoroughly explained everything to me step by step beforehand. She was outstandingly punctual. Her communications skills were superior between emailing and phone calls assuring that I stayed aware of everything going on. She makes sure her clients are prioritized no matter what, which I was very gracious for. Also, not to mention she is very well respected. Michelle was a welcome relief to a process that is problematic by definition. In the middle of a divorce, Michelle stepped in to take my case and bring sanity to all the members involved. She never took her eye off the goal and worked the process efficiently to get there. Michelle represented me during my recent divorce proceding. (I found Michele after experiencing some challenges with a different attorney). From the first meeting I appreciated Michelle's ability to cut to the key issues, her candor, straight talk and willingness to level with me on some tough topics. She demonstrated an excellent ability to provide me legal advice for the topics that had to be addressed at the moment, but took the time to explain the downstream implications and tradeoffs associated with different strategies and approaches. Divorce is a tough, emotional process and Michelle demonstrated compassion and kindness as well- she knew when to push and how to handle sensitive topics. The value of this kind of smart, objective advice was invaluable to me.
Communication was always timely, thorough and spot on the mark. She was always up to speed on the details of my case. She is not the type of lawyer who shields helfself behind a paralegal (like many do). Michelle is hands on with all aspects of the case. In dealing with divorce matters, she also had the uncanny abilit to 'do the numbers in her head' and discuss possible outcomes. No doubt this comes from experience-as a lawyer and a mediator and every time I talked with her that experience showed. She was as comfortable negotiating, as conducting a deposition as going through the trial process.
Overall, divorce (particularly in a long term marriage) is a messy ugly process that can be made even uglier and more painful with the wrong attorney.

Avoid this firm at all costs. Madeline C. Bitto is the most inadequate attorney I have ever encountered. She failed to review my case or provide a proper defense, which directly resulted in my loss of school choice, primary placement and decision-making authority for my children.

I was recently involved in relatively serious traffic violation. As a result I had police knocking at my door multiple times and were calling very frequently. My family and I were very anxious as the potential outcome could have been disastrous for my family. I called Tom Grieve and he immediately calmed me down by fully explaining the situation I was in and took control immediately. He called the police and as a result they backed down right away. I work 3rd shift and was worried about being able to be in contact with him when I needed to be, but Tom worked around my schedule as if he shared my hours. He was always available and always returned my calls in a timely matter. Tom is a very busy attorney and I probably called much more often than was necessary but he never acted annoyed or rushed. With his help he walked me through everything that was in my best interest and I followed his instructions. As a result, in the end his hard work exonerated me from the charges that were leveled against me. I know that I couldn't have been his priority case but he acted as if I was. Each and every time i reached out to him he took the time to answer all of my questions. He even contacted my wife who wasn't even his client when she had questions about the case. I cannot recommend him strongly enough. I have worked with a few attorneys in the past and have been let down every time and Tom has renewed my faith in them. He went above and beyond what I expected from him. Hopefully I will not be in need of an attorney again to help me out of legal trouble, but if I do his is the only name I'll be calling.

Edit: quippy comment from greedy lawyer suggests that I overstated the consultation. It's like $375. The law shrouds itself in secrecy behind the greed of lawyers creating different tiers of justice for those without means. You are a public servant, not a ruler.

I cannot begin to express my gratitude to Sydney and how thankful I am that I came across her page online. My significant other was facing revocation and looking at a lot of time. I Absolute LOVE Block Legal Services. Mariah is very professional and sweet. My Attorney Nick DiUlio is wonderful. He was hired to handled two major issues for me, and I will continue to be a client of this Law firm.
The fees I was charged were fair, and the services I received were outstanding. I needed some repairs done on my home and needed to take out a loan. I was told that it wasn't going to happen until I went to probate court. Esq Nick DiUlio advised me that I did not need probate court, alI I needed was a simple form it took 24 hours and it was done.
When the company I presented the form to rejected it. Nick jumped right in and advise the company he disagreed with their assessment and educated them on the law. It was beautiful to watch. He did not play any games with this company.
