I started my divorce process in March of 2022 with a different lawyer. My first lawyer was not proactive at all and had terrible communication, so I fired him and hired Ira. That was the best decision I made. My first attorney did nearly nothing with my case from March through to October. I switched to Ira mid-October, and not even 2 months later, my divorce is settled and I am happy with the end result. I cannot recommend Ira highly enough. His knowledge of the law helped me feel at ease. Both he and his office was very responsive to me, they set me up with their program so that I could follow along with all paperwork and communication made in regards to my case. All in all, I believe that Ira is the one you want on your side. Trust me, you don't want your ex to be the one that retains him first

I originally consulted with Ira in 2018 and he did not put pressure on me to file my divorce. He gave me great sound advice and when the time came for me to finally go through with my divorce in 2022, I had no doubt I would hire Ira. Ira and his staff were always there for me when ever I had a question or needed advice. He knew the full extent of the law and was strong leader for me as I was very timid and always wanted to give in. For that I am grateful! I would highly recommend Ira and his partners for any legal assistance you might need!

I was referred to Ira Senoff by a friend. I made an appointment to speak with him about amending my divorce order so that I could retire. My original order from 15+ years ago was "not good" for me to say the very least. It left too much open for interpretation upon my retirement. Ira was far different than any attorney I have dealt with before. He is a real person who speaks to you in real words not legal terms. He assisted me in coming up with a solution that I am very happy with. He is knowledgeable and understands how to work with other attorneys and not get walked all over like my original attorney did. I wish I used Ira when my divorce first occurred. I have already recommended him to other people and will continue to recommend him.

I have been a client of Ms. Amorski’s for several years because she has always made me feel like she had my best interest at heart (a sometimes rare quality in a lawyer!). I refer her to people because she provides the right advice and not just the advice that benefits her bank account. She explains why she is saying, or doing, certain legal things in terms that a lay person can understand. She also has a network of friends in the profession and will happily refer them if it makes more sense. Judy has an enthusiasm for the law and strong sense of right and wrong. I can easily endorse her for all of your legal needs. Ms. Amorski has handled cases for me in real estate and employment. I have referred her in criminal, family court, personal injury and municipal court cases.

I had a serious problem recently and I was arrested by NJ State police. There was no bail set and I was schedule to appear in the court month after. I retained John Leschak as my attorney when I was in the jail and he worked on my case during holiday time and within week he helped me get out of the jail. I was surely facing minimum 3 years in a NJ State prison. John had constant communication with me and prosecutor and final outcome was no jail time. I got a deal that I don’t think anyone else would ever get! The result of all of their hard work was an extremely favorable result. John is professional and intelligent but more importantly he is honest and caring. We went through a mini biography of my life and he learned many things about me which could have led to the problem I encountered. His team includes other attorney and professionals with experience in all facets of law and even more specifically, Immigration, criminal and family law. John is by far one of the most ethical, compassionate and professional attorneys I have met. I would easily recommend him and his firm. You won't find a better lawyer. The Leschak & Associates Firm/John P. Leschak is The Best of The Best !!!

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.

Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.

Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
