I engaged the legal services of Mary McKee based on her proposed statement of services, and the expertise she exhibited. Since signing an engagement letter and paying a $1500 retainer, I received 0 communications and 0 answers to my multiple emails with legal questions over the course of nearly 7 weeks. I called multiple times every week, and the 2 times I was able to speak with her (weeks apart), she promised an email within 2 business days. I received 0 emails weeks later, not even a response to an email requesting an update, at any point. She repeatedly promised legal help and gave timelines that were set and created by Ms. McKee herself at her discretion, which she repeatedly did not meet, nor did she respond to communications. She provided a "timely” plan during consultation that she never even started. Even though she sounded caring, she wasted MONTHS of my time with absolutely no consideration for me. She had no consideration for my daily living conditions (the reason I needed legal help), and no consideration for my time, given that I called or emailed almost every day to check on the status, which despite her promises, never changed over the course of 6 weeks. She literally sounded annoyed every time I contacted her for any information, and absolutely nothing was done in over 6 weeks (outside of an engagement letter and collecting $1500 from me). The only reason for 2 stars is because I was acknowledged that I would be refunded without issue (though the $1500 refund is still pending).

I hired S. Dianne Blanford in the first quarter of 2022 for an estate matter for my brother who lived in Lexington. Ms. Blanford seems to be a competent attorney as far as the quality of her work is concerned. However, she is extremely lacking in her communication skills. Since the beginning, I always had to reach out to her, she rarely initiated communication. For almost 2 months now, she has not responded to my emails and voicemails. The last time she emailed me was on July 6, 2022 and it is now the end of August, 2022. All invoices are paid to date. I would be careful if you intend to engage this attorney. Make sure she understands that communication is key and expected in a timely manner in any business arrangement, especially, client-lawyer relationships.

To call this place a law office is a stretch. Terrible ethics. Their paperwork was mailed with incorrect info and no one there wants to take blame or explain why! Lost paperwork, won’t return calls! Poor professionals!

when seeking assistance after taking over a week or more to respond, there was a rude, boisterous, discourteous, and overall unprofessional encounter. very embarrassing. poor representative of one who advertises as a "counselor"

I sought legal counsel for family court; spoke to her on the phone for maybe 10 minutes and never has anyone made me feel so small, and discouraged. The way this woman talked to me was very uncalled for, and she sounded very similar the people I was going up against. Her aggression and poor judgment was directed at me and that was in no way what I expected. Her attitude was very "know it all" and blatantly rude.. And anyone who behaves that way will NOT represent me. The purpose of legal counsel in family court is to have someone who will fearlessly represent and fight for the rights you might not know you had, but I honestly did not feel she could do that for me. My fears seemed unreasonable, "impossible" and "stupid". She assumed I was some silly, bitter ex girlfriend wanting revenge and treated me as such.. Not a mother or protector. I will never forget the words she spoke to me. And if I can prevent another person from feeling the way she has made me feel by leaving this review, I will do so.

He never consulted me before my court date. When I did meet him at the courtroom door he did not even introduce himself. With my DUI, he told me to just go home and drink.

Ms. Jones-Toleman provided me a poor service to my green card application for my familty. I started to prepare application materials in Nov. 2015 following her instruction, got everything done in April 2016, and she told me in August 2016 that I cannot file the application for my wife till October... She seldomly updated the status of my application during the procedure, i.e., what I should do, when she would file the application... I paid 90% of the lawyer fee by March 2016.

This attorney was paid $3,000 in May 2006 to handle a civil lawsuit. He wrote, and mailed the legal documentation for the lawsuit to us a year after payment in May 2007, which my wife filed herself at the county court house the next day. No further action was taken on the case since that day, and on May 14th, 2009 the case was dismissed without prejudice on lack of prosecution. What’s wrong with this is that Bobby Wombles lied to us every time we spoke with him, which was on a once/twice a month bases. We were always told that is was the other party causing the delays, and it was only a matter of time. The last time my wife spoke with Bobby Wombles was in August 2009, she was reassured that everything regarding the case was going find. In November, after not being able to contact Bobby for a couple of months regarding the case, I called the county clerk’s office for an updated status on the case, that’s when I found out about the dismissal back earlier that year in May. Bobby Womble still won't return our phone calls, and to say the least, I'm very disappointed. I know the time between full payment for the suit, and the first action taken by this attorney should’ve been a prime indicator, but can I say, no one wants to believe they got screw. BOBBY, IF YOU'RE READING THIS CALL ME, OR MAIL ME A CHECK FOR $3,000.00

I did not recieve legal services from Ms. chestnut as I was not able to get that far. I got her number off of google as I'm a COO of a cryptocurrency management platform company and we are seeking a business lawyer to retain to handle our needs. I called Ms. chestnut expecting a law office greeting and was met with "hello", i asked if this was indeed Ms. Chestnut and if she was still practicing law as I was looking to retain a business lawyer. She was very rude, acted as if she didn't know why I would be calling and because I have an out of the state area code asked me where I was located, I informed her I live in lexington kentucky, she then stated " because of lack of information im hanging up on you". Answered the phone very unprofessionally, was rude the entire short conversation and acted as if there was no reason I should be calling her and acted like I should not have had her number although it is listed on many different platforms on google as a means to contact. I have since made a call and set up consultation with a very nice lawyer. Steer clear of Ms. Chestnut, she was unprofessional in my opinion and made me feel as if I had no business reaching out to her.

She doesn’t have the best interest in me. I was appointed to her when my case started. Got out on bond. Got indicted within sixty days of being out ms.english didn’t tell me about my Pretrial conference date and was late for a court apperiance before that because of her timing. I have called her kept in contact with her and I have tried to talk to her on many occasions and can never reach her. No communication. Except her calling my updated number to tell me that I had a warrant to turn my self in ASAP.
